I got declined on that one, Elyse. lol. Let me know what you think once you read it. I still hope it's a good one! It sounds like it will be a fun read.

I know! I was thinking it would be a great one to read now. I will keep an eye on it though at my library. I love the cover though so it will be fun to read it in print.
I just got a widget for The Ferryman
by Justin Cronin! I loved his The Passage series. This one is also pretty long (560 pages!), but doesn't publish until May so there is plenty of time to read it. Did anyone else get it?
FYI - It is only to wish for on NG right now, but the archive date is set for Sept of next year! I was surprised to see that.

I know it's a long one!! I think most of his are.I got it too . . .although I think I'll be getting to it soon! I'm so excited to read it!
I have a lot of NG reads coming up, but I'm sure I won't be waiting too long to read this one. I'm excited for it too! Maybe end of Sept / beginning of Oct between The Prisoner and The Family Game buddy reads. :) Otherwise, I'll get to it in November. Let me know if you want to buddy.
I also got a widget for it! I own the second and third Passage books but need to find the first! I bought them used. I never watched the show.
The Passage is only a trilogy, but it is still quite long. Each book is well over 500 pages (766, 568, & 602 pages respectively) for a total of 1936 pages. It will take a while to get through, but it's so good. This book is not part of that series though, so can be read separately.

I received it too. I haven't read him before and I'm always excited to read a new author.

Nice! Maybe we can plan a buddy read for those that are interested then. Would any of you be interested? If so, when would you like to read it? I could read it as soon as the little break between The Prisoner and The Family Game buddy reads or I could wait until November or even later if that works for any of you.

Or maybe even later ... March ??
Or maybe even later ... March ??
I don't mind waiting a bit. Why don't we revisit it later in the year? We can see who wants to buddy read and when we think we'd like to start then. If you all want to wait until after the new year, then there is no hurry to set it up now. If anyone doesn't want to wait, they can read it sooner and jump in on the discussion later. Does that work for everyone?

Ever since I gave

Sounds like a challenge, lol. How many books will you accept and review 🤔.
It just proves to us readers that the writers/publishers do read our reviews.

I saw that, Vicki! I've never read that series. I don't think I've read anything by DeMille before.

Yes, I should be able to start it by then
Tasha wrote: "I got approved for
by Clare Mackintosh this morning. I really enjoy her thrillers. Very excited. :)"I've only read one of her books
and I gave it 2.5 stars.
I have The Last Party too. I was thinking I really like this author, but then I just looked I actually have not read anything by her? That doesn't seem right, but ??I will buddy read it with you when it get much much closer.
School is getting ready to start on Monday and I am trying to get my classroom ready. So my reading has ground to a halt.
I also could have sworn I had read something by her but after looking thru her books it appears I have one or two on my tbr list and one I just checked out from the library called
by Clare Mackintosh. I knew the name sounded familiar though. lol
Sounds good, Vicki. Elyse, that was my least favorite of the few I've read from her so maybe another one might be a better experience, or maybe she's just not for you. :) I gave that one 3 stars.
I own one other one that I haven't read yet but I'm a part of her mailing list and I enjoy those! lol. I plan on getting around to her books. Maybe I'll get approved for The Last Party.
The only book I have read by Clare Mackintosh is I See You. I really enjoyed it. I have Let Me Lie on my TBR because I wanted to read it after reading I See You, but quite a few of my GR friends did not enjoy that one. So, I bought it, but haven't read it yet.

I requested
The Ex Wives and
Lavender House late last night and received approvals for both this morning! I've got to get my read on! I added five books in the last month or so, but haven't read any.
