Added Stay Awake
! I read The Night Swim by this author and thought it was really good, so I'm looking forward to this one. :)

Got a widget for
! I love his newer books but they sure do make my brain hurt! So much science! lol.
I just received that too, Elyse.
Anyone interested in doing a buddy read? It publishes in July.

April is good. Kristie, do want to set up a thread for it?
I just picked up
DIY Resin Crafting Projects. I have done resin pouring a couple of times and it's a lot of fun, so I figured I'd learn a little more about it.

I will. I'm not sure if I want to start working with resin in my home, but it seems like it would be fun.
It some type of polymer blend that starts as a liquid and you can pour it into molds or over things and add different dyes or pressed flowers, etc. It dries looking like a hard plastic type material depending on what's in it. You can make jewelry and other items with it. I poured resin over a travel coffee mug and added dyes while it was wet. So now I have a decorated mug.
It's fun artsy stuff. I'm just not sure using resin at home is a good idea for me. I think I'd end up with little bits of hardened resin stick to everything. Maybe outside though.

I also poured it over a slice of tree once and use it to put candles on. The place I went to makes these mugs, coasters, charcuterie boards, trays, etc. I will be making an LED lamp next time. That is the same idea as the mug, but pouring on a clear cylinder. Then, you put it on a wood base with LED light inside. I can't wait to try it.
The only problem with doing it as a class is that it's kind of pricey, so you can't make too many things without spending a lot of money. Plus, there are limited projects there.
I guess I'm just curious about it more than really expecting to create anything at home. We'll see though. I do tend to get excited about learning new things and go all in. lol

Thanks! Yes. They showed us how to mix and pour the resin, smooth it out, and add color. It was really cool to see what everyone did with it.

I'm considering grabbing Breathless. It's read now for today. Do any of you have it? Have you read it? I'm trying to not request too many because I'm having a difficult time finding time to read lately and I don't want to fall behind again, but it sounds so good.
I missed Breathless. I thought it was 24 hours so it would still be read now in the morning. I went to bed, woke up, and it was for request. Probably for the best anyway, though I do have that one on my TBR already. I'm hoping they'll post the audio. I'm also hoping for the audio of Things We Do in the Dark. I don't have any audios on my shelf right now.
I forgot I requested (and was just approved):
which is publishing this month so now I have to get to it quickly, lol.
Looks good, Tasha. I've never read an Anne Tyler book. A couple have landed on my TBR, but I've never actually read any.
I've read a bunch of her older stuff, more so before I was on GRs so nothing from those years is marked as read on my GR shelf. I can't even remember them anyway at this point. ;) I've enjoyed her as an author though.
I got approved for Peach Blossom Spring - sounds interesting and it’s been on a few lists lately.P.S. It was just published, so I need to get going on it! It’s still available for request though.

A beautiful cover! I hope you enjoy it.
Kristie- I didn’t see you had asked a question about Breathless - probably during the GR notifications glitch. I have it and currently supposed to be reading it, but haven’t gone beyond a few pages. Been busy with other things.

That sounds really good too. And I also love the cover. I have three GR friends who have read it already and they all gave it 5 stars! I wish I had a little more time to read it right now, I'd request it too. Hope you love it.

Ah, yes...the great GR glitch of 2022. lol
I almost grabbed that one, but decided to get through some that I already have first. I think it sounds interesting though and will interested to see what you think of it.

I need to get through the more current ones for now as well. I'm glad to hear that a bunch of your friends did enjoy Peach Blossom Spring, I'll have to keep that on my radar.
Added Peril at the Exposition - this is the second in series. I read the first one but I think like most series, each can be read as a standalone.
I got approved for
which sounds interesting although a friend read it and gave it 3 stars so we'll see!
