It’s yummy - it sounds like a salad🤪, but it’s really good. Butter pecan - yum. It’s a good thing it’s way early in the morning or else I’ll be running out to get some ice cream!

I've been a little overwhelmed with books lately and fallen behind on my reading, so I haven't requested or accepted anything lately though I am still holding onto a couple of widgets. I'm hoping to do some catching up and be ready to start getting new books after the holidays.

The first one sounds like it’d be funny! Sad that GM’s life went downhill.

message 165: by Tasha (new)

Tasha Hopefully, both will be interesting. I was never a big fan of GM but I was a teen during his time so he feels like a part of my life, lol.

Tasha That sounds really good, Lilisa. I requested it now as well.

message 169: by Lilisa (new)

Lilisa | 575 comments Great Tasha! I also added the audio for A Narrow Door - excited to dive in. I loved the first in the series Gentlemen and Players, the second Different Class was okay.

Then another - Kaikeyi, which sounded really interesting.

message 170: by Tasha (new)

Tasha I hope you enjoy A Narrow Door as much as the first, Lilisa.

I ended up getting Blackout so another added to the list! lol

Tasha Lilisa, It's way too easy to request. ;)

Annie, yes, I do both on GRs and in a notebook.

message 173: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 2898 comments Mod
I keep a list too, Annie. I have a shelf on Goodreads and a spreadsheet as well.

message 174: by Lilisa (new)

Lilisa | 575 comments I have a shelf on GR too, Annie. I use my NG shelf to track deadlines.

message 175: by Elyse (new)

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 1524 comments Annie wrote: "do you guys keep a list of all your arcs and deadlines? because I do..."

Of course! I have a solo group where I keep track of book lists and readathons and other yearly challenges.

message 176: by Tasha (new)

Tasha I had a solo group once too, I completely forgot about that. I listed things like challenges there as well. I think I must have deleted it when I was doing a lot of culling.

message 177: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 2898 comments Mod
Oh, I also have a private solo group where I keep track of all my challenges and my NG is listed in there too. I apparently have it listed all over the place. lol

message 178: by Elyse (new)

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 1524 comments Annie wrote: "wow, that's cool guys! I like the idea of a private solo group... I feel like having a list is pretty important as without it we'd probably forget the deadlines. As I read and review books from Ede..."

I just love lists of books. lol. Organizing and re-organizing is fun. :)

I do the NetGalley Challenge (obviously), Mount TBR Challenge, VIRTUAL Mount TBR Challenge, Series to Finish Challenge, various throughout the year Seasons of Reading readathons, etc. These are all Goodreads groups.

Kristie | 2898 comments Mod
You can start a group on Goodreads and make it a secret group so no one can find it. I have one that's just called Kristie's challenges. I'm the only member and it's not visible to anyone else. I can make folders for reviews, challenges, reading plans etc. It really keeps me organized.

message 180: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 2898 comments Mod
Go to: the Community dropdown - select groups - I click on 'see all # of your groups - Then on the upper right hand side of that page you can click on "create a group". When you create the group select "This group is secret." and you will have your own private group for organizing.

message 181: by Elyse (new)

MacMillan is back in the office today! I was approved for the audios of Reckless Girls, The Christie Affair, and A Flicker in the Dark. I'm super excited.

I already had Reckless Girls and The Christie Affair (I love that cover so much!), but this will help me to get through them faster.

A Flicker in the Dark is a new add and my first book by Stacy Willingham (It's her debut.). I'm really looking forward to it and have high hopes based on early reviews.

I also did not know there was a sequel was being published and still have the first one to read, but I did not get it from Bookish. lol

I am expecting I Must Betray You by Ruta Sepetys from Bookish I think around the end of the month. I'm excited for it. I've enjoyed her previous work.

message 198: by Tasha (new)

Tasha I enjoy her work too, my favorite which was my first read from her and never topped yet, Between Shades of Gray. My mom's birthday is right away the pub date for I Must Betray You so one of her gifts will be this book, in large print if I can find it.

I loved that one too, Tasha.

I saw her speak once and she was just so nice and everything you want a speaker to be, intelligent and funny. It made me want to buy all her books, so it's a good thing I also love her writing. lol
