Yeah I don't let it bother me. As you can see by my 28% ratio. 🤣

What an eye-catching cover! I have one friend who read it and gave it 4 stars. 🤷♀️
I hate when that happens, Tasha! Usually I try to read a few reviews to see why it is rated so poorly. Sometimes the thing that makes someone give it a low rating is something I typically enjoy. Good luck!
Edit: Interesting that it's been longlisted for 2022 Women's Prize for Fiction.

Lost to the World: A Memoir of Faith, Family, and Five Years in Terrorist Captivity
and
The Book Spy.
I'm not sure the last time I updated, but I recently got approved for Cursed
. It is the follow-up to Gilded. I'm excited to see how the story ends.
I also just got Friendshipped
. This is the first book I've read by this author and it looks really cute.
I am also expecting a physical copy of The Angel Maker
. This will be my third book by Alex North and I thought the first two were great, so I'm really looking forward to it.
Funny that they are three completely different genres, but that is perfect for me. Now I just need to figure out how to fit in the first two really quickly. The Angel Maker doesn't publish until February, so I have plenty of time for that one, but the other two both publish this month.

I did that too, Tasha. Then, I went and requested too many. lol I'm trying for a happy place somewhere in the middle.

lol.

We might end up with a lot of books! :)
I'm so excited that I just received widget for Hello Stranger by Katherine Center. I love her books. :) It doesn't publish until July, so lots of time to read it!

Yay! Depending on when we both decide to read it, maybe we can set up a buddy read later. :)

I love her work, Tasha. The first I read by her was Things You Save in a Fire. I voted for The Bodyguard by her in the Choice Awards this year.

I am not a huge romance reader but I loved all of hers.
I want to try to get

I just added
Devil's Way. It's book 4 in the Kate Marshall series by Robert Bryndza. I really enjoyed the previous books. Anyone else read this series?

I do not see it on NG yet but will keep my eye out for it.
I just got approved for

I have not read anything by him before.

I got this one too Vicky

I'm reading it! I've read books 1 and 2 and have book 3 sitting on my shelf. I am definitely going to see if I can get Devil's Way.

George VI and Elizabeth: The Marriage That Saved the Monarchy by Sally Bedell Smith
The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese
Windward Family: An atlas of love, loss and belonging by Alexis Keir
Of Mud and Honey by Roxana Trabulsi - had to add this one to Goodreads!

Oh, I wanted that one and almost requested, but didn't. I'm hoping for the audio because I have quite a few physical books to read right now. Unfortunately, the audios usually come out a lot later and you never know if they'll have it or not. I may end up requesting anyway.

It's really good! Craig (hubby) has been reading the series too, so I think we may listen to it while we're traveling for Christmas. :) I think it would be good to be able to read a couple in a row so you don't forget things between. Hope you get it too!

Oooh lucky! He's good! I've read his other 2 books. I got denied this one. He's getting too popular for my low ratio. lol

In Search of Amrit Kaur: A Lost Princess and Her Vanished World
Birnam Wood by Eleanor Catton. I’m especially interested in this one. I loved one of her other books - The Luminaries
A History of Burning
Also added Allergic: How Our Immune System Reacts to a Changing World
My NG list is is getting longer! 🤦♀️

Good luck, hope you get it Tasha!
