Example:
Frank Feliz - Squishy Crushy Something (Squishy Crushy Something, #1)
F. Feliz - Squishy Crushy Something (Happy Lucky Everything, #1)

1. Can I reclaim the existing old author page and just change the author name from Frank Feliz to F. Feliz to keep all the books in one author page despite the old books still being listed under Frank?
2. If "yes" to question 1, can I add the reworked version of the aforementioned book as a separate entry since it's under a publisher and not self-published like the old book? Same premise and characters but rewritten with much more added to it, going from a short story to a full novel. And same book title but different series title and cover.
Thanks!

How long was the original story (word count and page count if you have it, approximate is good) and the same information for the new version?

The publisher's reworked version under F. Feliz currently has 39,054 words, but I'm not sure how many pages that would equate to since it's not finished yet, and it could be longer after the editing/proofing is done. One calculator says 98 pages whereas another says 46. I should add that this version will also be available in print, unlike the original.

Based on original book being only a 1/3 the length of the rewritten version and one being a short story versus a novel length, they would be listed as separate entries. When they are closer in size we typically keep them linked together. Publisher versus self-published does not play a factor.
