The book Last Call has one author - Elon Green.

The record for Alexander Leon has no books, and 3 quotes. Two are the above quote from Last Call.

Alexander Leon posted the above quote to Twitter in January 2020. I haven't read Last Call, so I don't know if Elon Green is quoting Alexander Leon in the book. Last call was pub 2021

I'm about to ask A.L. on twitter if he knows the answer. I'll post another comment when I find out.

Clare Snow (claresnow) | 1131 comments Bumping this. Thank you.

I have further info about the above quote if someone could combine and correct them.

I talked to Elon Green about the quote. He said he quoted it in his book Last Call: A True Story of Love, Lust, and Murder in Queer New York and attributed it to the original author Alexander Leon. This where it was originally stated by Leon:

ie. Leon tweeted it and it went viral.

Elon Green told me the quote is often attributed to him, but Alexander Leon said it first.
