As far as I can remember , it’s a short reference in the very beginning and not really anything more

It’s more of a threat of rape than she is raped — so there are no details of rape or anything leading up to it

This isn’t really a spoiler (especially since this happens literally in the first couple pages) but I’ve included a bit more detail under the spoiler tag:

(view spoiler)[The girl’s house is “raided” so to speak, and she sees a masked man (which is really bad in that culture). She realizes that if she doesn’t get away, he will rape her and then kill her. Then someone/something comes to her rescue and she gets away from that situation. (hide spoiler)]

Okay I know that was kinda vague, and I’m sorry if it makes it confusing. However, I didn’t want to spoil anything even remotely. . . . That, and I also haven’t read this book for a while.
