Gary Hope your Dad is doing well.Jennifer thanks for the Letting me know that the Aunt is a hoot. I have had some of these books for awhile and never get around to reading them. I love this group because it gets me to read books I would not get around to reading!

Finished reading For Whom The Book Tolls by Laura Gail Black. It is an interesting series. The 2nd book will not come out til September 7, 2021. I have not read this book. I wil find another book in my TBR file to cover this 2nd book with this theme. I am so sorry. I should have done my research before chosing this series. Also started reading Engaged in Murder by Nancy Parra.
I have been reading a lot lately since I cannot sleep.
I have found another book that I am downloaded to my Kindle to cover my mistake. Little Bookshop of Murder by Maggie Blackburn.
Happy Reading!
I had Multi Level ACDF surgery monday! Just got home. Holding my e-reader (kindle) is a chore! LOL better then a heavy book though. I am still reading. In fact now I have nothing but time to read! & Have to wear this collar for 3 months! Which stops me from doing allot of other things. Anyway I am almost done with 1st book good thing theres allot in this series. But it is a good one!
Gary - It's good to hear that your father is doing better. I hope his health continues to improve. Quality care makes all the difference. I hope he will be able to come home soon.
You've been going through the wringer lately. In the midst of care-giving, try to find time for a little self-care.

Conni - Welcome home! Sending prayers for healing your way. I hope good books will entertain and distract you.
btw - My Kindle case folded into a stand. I can prop it up then lie in bed and read hands free.

Finished my first - The Lies That Bind last night and am loving this series. Can't wait to get to my next book later this month!
Yikes Conni! I'm glad you hear you are home and on the mend. I'm sending good thoughts and wishes for a speedy recovery your way.
Wow, Conni, I am so glad to see you are home and on the recovery road! Sending healing vibes your way!
I finished my books today.
. Thank you, Hilary! I enjoyed them both, but I didn't think Tea Cups and Carnage was as good as others in the series.

Sadly, my dad 's long fight against death ended on the 19th. He fought with every ounce of his being but the body finally gave out. Oddly my sister and I saw a figure in a window on the top floor of the hospital. We are relatively certain it was my late mother. When we left after my dad had passed the lights were out on the floor. The floor has been closed for years for renovation and the elevators are locked out from going there. Dad was not fond of the darkness
our theory is mom came to walk him through the "tunnel" to be with God.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your father. Surely, the "tunnel" was lighted by the presence of your late mother to assist in his travel. 🤗💖

My dad was reading my late brother and I various Uncle Wiggly stories at bedtime and then there were the Hardy Boys books. Of course they also fussed about my constant nose in a book as we went on family vacations.

Through my dad's side of the family we are related to the great American abolitionist poet John Greenleaf Whittier and one of the three writers of The Federalist Papers, John Jay, who went on the become the first Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court. Then there are the other famous members of the founding fathers, Sam and John Adams and John Hancock.
Since the next one in my series, Pages of Sin was a novella I decided to add it in this month. Enjoyed it but it would have been better with Derek in it.

Thanks, Jodi, and good; I have way too many ahead of that series to start. Kate Rosetti Mystery can wait a little longer.
