Nikita | 238 comments Hey everyone,

I'm loving so far my brand-new librarian experience but there is something that scratches my mind ...

You know, most legendary poets have some anthologies of their whole poetic career, and here comes my question. Foreign writers usually have a dedicated anthology in their own language (I believe it entitles the best the term "anthology" because of the original aspect of the thing).
There are also some other "anthologies" with complete different languages and I'm never sure of the veracity of the word. In different languages, usually "anthology" means "anthology of the best poetic works".
I can't read all the editions so I can't really know the content of an edition.

So finally my question: should "anthologies" of different languages be combined ?

Nikita

Nikita | 238 comments The same question holds for "selected poems" in different languages.

Only if you are certain that the content is exactly the same - just in a different language. There are many incorrect combinations on Goodreads though, unfortunately.

Edit: AFAIK it is ok to combine if introductions are written by different people though.
