Debbie Baldwin | 28 comments Hi Everyone! Join us for the Reading Nation Reading Challenge. It's easy! Choose any book that fits into one of the three categories below, read it, and tell us about it!

Catagories:
#1. A book about family--funny or serious in any genre as long as family is at the heart of the story.

#2. A book about travel--fiction or non, whatever satisfies your travel bug!!!

#3. A book featured in any issue of RN Magazine!

To include the book in your post, just go to the top of the comment box and click "add book/author" then find the book. At the bottom of the search box, you can choose "cover" or "link" to add the book. That way others can easily find the book you (hopefully) are recommending! Happy reading!!!

Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin
Four young siblings visit a Gypsy who tells each when exactly they will die. Each makes certain life choices and each dies at the age the gypsy has told them. Not all characters are well developed. It’s more like four separate stories told about the four siblings one at a time. I hoped gypsy’s foretelling would lead to something fantastic or mystical, but that doesn’t happen. I suppose the big question the author wants us to ponder is whether we fulfill the prophesy of our destiny or our fate dictates us.

Middle seems by Jeffrey Eugenides
This is a complex story about a successful Greek immigrant family that grapples with a child’s ambiguous sexuality that is expressed when the child reaches puberty. Its humorous at times and heartbreaking at other times.

Wondra Chang | 11 comments The only time I have now is when I walk for an hour in the morning. I read audiobooks. After I finish my second novel, I’ll have time to read some books.
