The study hall is similar to the dining hall, but without the arched ceilings and table of food. Long tables vertically line the room, and the school crest on banners hang from the ceilling.

((miya/aster))

Marvin's dead eyes were set for the study hall. He had just finished class and dumped his homework at the dorms. And now, Aster wanted to meet him in five minutes. Wonderful. He checked his silver watch on his right wrist and scowled. The girl was insane for asking him to arrive in five minutes. How could she even have known when his classes ended? He checked his watch again. A quarter past three. He growled through his teeth and ran at a break neck pace. Aster, Aster, Aster. Stupid Aster. Turning a corner, he narrowly missed toppling over a student and continued running. His buffed shoes were slick against the marble floor as he danced through the sluggish bodies of the students. He was well aware of the fact that he had responsibilities when it came to the book club but he hated it when people would tell him what to do. He just didn't like being summoned like a dog. The door to the study hall nearly beamed like a beacon of light. He slid to the front of the door and leaned on the door, heaving far too much than he really should. Man, he didn't feel this out of shape in a long time. Could it really be all the studying he did, locked in his room? Couldn't be. Marvin brushed an invisible speck of dust from his pull over and ran a hand through his combed hair.(view spoiler) His sister had begged him to try a new hairstyle and so this was the best he could come up with for the day. It wasn't entirely sister approved, but she applauded his effort. When he saw the caller ID, he nearly wet himself. He should be use to his sister's calls but every time she did, he worried himself sick that she finally figured it all out. She wouldn't though, so there wasn't anything to worry about. For now at least. Marvin huffed and opened the door to the study hall. There rows and rows of long tables and luckily, the students were few and far between so it made picking Aster out easily. Especially with that head of blue hair. He weaved his way to her and stood with his arms crossed. He had the same expressionless eyes he gave to most people, (view spoiler)asking her, "So what do you want?" He jogged his memory for anything that might have been relevant between them and the only he could of was either a class they shared, and she needed help. or the book fair. "Is it the book fair?" He asked with a bored tone.

aster was waiting in the study hall. she had a book in front of her and her phone next to it. she had, of course, waited for marvin to finish his classes before contacting him to meet her there in five. after she sent that message, she just started reading her book as she waited. she heard the doors open and saw Marvin, who didn't look too amused. even so, the girl couldn't keep herself from smiling a bit. as he reached her table, she placed her arms on the table, using one to prop up her chin. (view spoiler) even though it most likely wasn't the same for him, she liked the thought of someone actually come running to her when she needed help. it was something she didn't really get to experience. if she fell and hurt herself as a kid, she'd have to take care of herself. if she needed help with her homework, she had to figure it out herself as well. it was refreshing. though, if anything, she was more amused than anything. "You do realize you didn't have to come here straight away? I know I said to meet in five, but you could have been a little late." She mocked. it wasn't anything malicious, just her poking fun. she's always done it, so it was nothing new or special. when he figured it out, she just lowered her hand and clapped gently. "Bingo. You've won the grand prize." she hummed. While aster did have anger issues and always made sure to take care of things properly, she was still pretty carefree for the most part. she placed a bookmark in her book before closing it. "I was wondering if you could help me out with this one as well? I still have to talk to the rest of the committee and the other heads first, of course. But seeing as you're the book club president, I should naturally run it by you first and ask for your assistance." she hummed. "You can even promote the book club while you're at it." she added soon after.

((awww. the poor thing. cute!! yeah that's how it would be for him too except now, he doesnt like her. XD awww.))

Maybe it was the way she propped her hand below her chin but it ticked him off. Whenever he saw his peers act that way, it instantly made him think of the lazy, last minute ones who'd beg him to help them out with the test the very next day. Marvin tapped his shoe and studied his watch again. "I'm never late," he stated, giving out a slight huff. A tired Marvin was never one you wanted to meet if you could help it. If she wanted to be snarky with him, he could be snarky back. "Oh boy, don't leave me with my panties in a twist. What did I win?" he said, waving his hands out before returning them underneath his arms. She was disrupting a schedule he had carefully in place. It would be different if she had actually given him a month's warning for this meeting. Who knew how long this would take. He checked his watch again. "Yes, yes, I was already thinking of that," Marvin said, rolling his eyes. Honestly, did she think he hadn't thought this all out? "You go do that, head. Everyone must be dying to hear from you." Marvin would never admit he was a little jealous Aster got the position as head instead of him. He outperformed her and probably knew more things about being a thief than she could be. So how on earth did she get to one and he didn't? Okay, she was good at some classes but that was all the credit Marvin was willing to give her. He would've considered her his rival were it not for thinking of that stuff as idiotic. "And it's head of the book club. Not president. Get your titles right." Marvin pinched the bridge of his nose so hard his finger nails left indents. "So what is it that you need that requires my assistance? Are you sure it's not something you could do by yourself?"

she just continued to watch the male quietly, humming with a small smile on her face. she had always had a habit of observing people a little too much, watching the little movements or facial expressions. it was how she managed to tip-toe around her father after all. it didn't help that she also had to do this so she could understand her mother more, who refused to really tell her anything, even if it was important. after all, her mother still treated her like a little child, one who can't handle hard news. "It's not like it was a formal appointment. It's just a last-minute meet-up." she hummed. She leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand once more. "If you insist. Since I made you run all the way here, for one time and one time only, I'll come running if you call. Sounds fair, right?" she suggested. "that, or one favor within my limits, take your pick." she hummed. she did feel bad for making him run all the way there, so it was only natural that she paid him back. she had noticed it was just sarcasm, but it didn't seem to faze her all that much. though, the emphasis on head did kind of bother her. while she was the head, she did prefer if people just called her by name. though, it didn't bother her that much. she didn't respond to his little comment about it.

honestly, she had no reason to tolerate it nor pay any attention to it. it's not like it was anything new, in fact, she was used to that behavior from her fellow peers. she crossed her feet before shifting her position a bit, leaning her face onto her other hand, placing the previous on the table. crossing her feet was bad for blood flow and she knew that, but she couldn't help it. it was that or she kicked her feet. she sighed as he corrected her. there wasn't much of a difference. in other places, instead of head, it would have been 'president, which is what she was used to hearing from her books and her previous school. it was a slip up she occasionally made every now and again. "yes, yes, head. my bad." she replied, not really sounding all that apologetic as she dug through her bag on the chair next to her. she took out a large binder. she unzipped it before opening it up, flipping through to the red section. she unclipped a manila folder from it and handed it to him. it was labeled 'book fair.' it seemed as though the girl was pretty organized. while she was carefree, she couldn't stand a messy workplace and often found herself reorganizing often, as well as labeling things. her work also was pretty well taken care of. under the folder she had pulled out, there was an identical one. probably a copy, though, they were both handwritten. she handed him the manilla folder.

"here's the setup, along with timetables and reasonable prices. I mainly just need the book club members to pick out some books and send us a list of books you guys think would be good to sell, as well as a price. other than that, I want someone from the book club, whether it's you or not, to openly promote the book club as members. that way more people would be inclined to join and read more. the ultimate goal of the book fair is to raise money for the funding for future events as well as raise literacy levels. if possible, perhaps a small demonstration from the book club would be nice. I would do it myself, but it's best if it's from the book club themselves. other than that though, it'd be nice if you could talk to your members and let them know that we are looking for extra manpower, so it'd be great if some of them could volunteer. while some of the money will be used for future funding, sixty percent of the money made from the book fair will be used to buy more books for the school. for those who volunteer, if they make any book suggestions that the school should buy, they'll suggestions will take priority, within reasonable limits of course." she explained before yawning. "I'd also like to formally request to use the study hall for the book fair. Since the book club often occupies it for meetings and the such, it's only natural that I ask you," she added soon after. in the folder, there were drawings of how things would be set up, labels here and there. basically, everything he'd need to know about the event was there, as well as a small flier sample that'd advertise the event. it seemed thoroughly planned out, despite not having even been approved by the rest of the committee yet. "If you have any suggestions, tell me." she said after little thought.

((yeah! no wonder she's the head. XD ah yeah that's true!))

And she kept doing it. Yes, she was the head so there had to be some reason she was chosen but the way she leaned into her hand kept bugging him. Aster just kept humming as the meeting went on and although the meeting was only eight minutes and thirty-two seconds so far, her insistent humming was distracting. Marvin was quiet not because he didn't know what to say, but because the humming made it hard to understand exactly what she was talking about. Breath in, breath out. "I doubt there's anything you could do for me that I haven't done already." His stomach grumbled in protest and he forced a cough. But it kept rumbling. The monster was hungry and it needed to be fed. Fine. "A week from now," Marvin said, flicking away a stray strand of hair. "May you order us some food at McDonald's? I would like to have a mcchicken. We can eat at the dining hall if you so wish. Perhaps then I can update you on the book fair's progress." At least she had a week to plan ahead instead of the next five minutes. No doubt she would take her time if the latter was the case, seeing as though she was nonchalant about him being late or not.

Being the little nitpick that he was, Marvin pointed out her cross feet from under the chair. "That's bad for your circulation you know. Before you know it, you'll get swollen feet. And I wouldn't want the head of our year to be hospitalized." Anyone probably would've taken it as him being sarcastic but he was mostly worried if she was taken to the hospital that the book fair would erupt into chaos. And he would have to pick up the pieces she left behind. Not that he really mind. Maybe then he would become head of their year.

It would be a lie if Marvin said he wasn't impressed with all the neat folders and spreadsheets she showed before him. His fingers trailed over the folders and their collective neatness. His heart was overjoyed that their head was this organized. She may not look it, but the head definitely impressed him. "I will be the one to promote it." For these kinds of things, he usually was. "The members just want to read, not participate in fairs. The only thing that would actually make them want to help us is if we promised them a year's worth of books. Now I doubt the school has that kind of budget for lazy teenagers." Marvin huffed again as he took the folder and studied through it. His eyes twinkled as he went through it. Well, she made his life much easier. Here he was stressing out that he wouldn't have much help this year and Aster made him wash away his worries. "Of course, it is the book fair after all," Marvin said with a scoff. He would be a brat if he said no. It wasn't that big of a deal either. Despite having quite a few members, the book club was losing momentum and Marvin was tired of having to remind people that they were a book club. Not something to look good on applications for colleges. But he doubt an academy for thieves would look good on any application. Marvin looked through the folder one last time before tucking it under his arm and stuffing his hands in his pockets. Though promoting everything would be quite a struggle for him, Aster practically thought of everything he was worried about. Maybe working with her wasn't going to be so bad. Marvin cleared his throat and said a bit roughly, "Thanks, but I'll make sure to let you know if I need anything a month in advance." Her calling him short noticed still ruffled his feathers but her thinking of every detail for the book fair made the notice a little more forgivable. "I'll see you next week, then. Unless there was anything else, Aster?"

she watched him quietly, noticing how her humming seemed to irritate him? or was he distracted by it? she couldn't tell. it could possibly even be both. upon realizing this, she decided to stop. she's annoyed him enough for now. "ah, if that's the case, I'll ask an upperclassman to get it for us. A certain seventh year owes me a favor, so they should be able to get it pretty easily." she answered. upon saying that, she quickly wrote something down on a small notepad. probably a reminder to put that on her schedule. when she was done, she flipped to a different section in her binder, one labeled schedule. she placed the stick note on a piece of paper, in which she grabbed some tape and taped it down so it wouldn't damage the sticky note. there seemed to be a few more sticky notes on the blank page, and on the other was something she printed out. it seemed as though it was a planning sheet for the next month. she had a few things written down, but not much. it looked like the sticky notes were for her to graph important meetings and the such for the month. there were quite a few of them, in which she had them placed carefully. for someone so carefree, it seemed like she was a tad OCD, and while she didn't plan every moment of her day, she did like to have rough schedules for the month. at the end of the month, the first day of that week was labeled as the start of death. she quickly closed her binder after that though.

her attention was quickly brought to her feet. "Ah, if anything, it'll just cause vein inflammation, which you can treat by yourself. at worse, a blood clot. I'll be fine as long as I don't do it for too long." she said. despite her words, it seemed as though she listened to him, uncrossing her feet. based on her words, she knew it was a bad habit, one that could hurt her. even so, she still did it. "though, the marvin is concerned for me, I guess I'll take better care not to do it for a while." she added. despite the cheekiness of that comment, she didn't really smile like before. instead, she seemed pretty indifferent.

"Ah. Good point. But still, try to bring it up if you can. Tell them that if they volunteer, I'll buy them one book of their choosing each out of my personal budget, as long as it's reasonable. I have a bit saved up, so it shouldn't be a problem." she said, without much thought. "it might not be a year's worth of books, but as a reader, a free book of one's choosing is a pretty tempting offer. I know I'd take it." she said. She, herself, was a pretty avid reader. If she wasn't busy enough as it was, she'd probably be a part of the book club herself. "A free book, as well as their book suggestion for the library jumping to the priority list, is a pretty sweet deal in itself. Considering the long list of books that the school has. I'll even throw in a bookmark for each of them." she said. despite being something that might appear to be an issue, she saved no time thinking about it and was even willing to use her own money. if she was fazed by issues like that, it'd be hard to be the head of anything. "if they still aren't interested, I'll take volunteers from the student body instead." she said with a sigh. that was it. it was either they took the deal or she moved on. it seemed as though she personally preferred if they were members of the book club, considering the nature of the event, but she found that there was no point in dwelling over it. she already got a promise from the book head club that he'd participate.

she took a moment to gather her thoughts before shaking her head. "I believe that's it. If any new details come up, I'll just text them to you. As for any other issues, I'll just find you, so you don't have to worry about it disrupting your schedule or anything. I can just follow you as you get things done. Though, if you find it difficult to multitask, I can just wait." she explained. despite his comment clearly being a reference to how she called him on short notice, she didn't seem to pay any mind to it. after a moment though, something popped up in her mind. "ah, i forgot. sixty percent of the money will be used to improve the library as well as include more books, but fifteen percent of the money will go toward the book club's funding. fifteen will go toward improving the school's facilities and the remaining ten will be going to the planning committee's budget if the idea goes well with the other members. we also might be planning some fundraisers soon too, so I might bug you about that later as well." she explained. she yawned shortly after. while everything was neat and she made sure to make her handwriting pretty and easy to read, it was still something that was done in a bit of a rush. she stayed up all night finalizing it. "And, I'd like to apologize in advance for any grammar mistakes there might be. my grammar is pretty good, but there might be a few spelling or punctuation mistakes. I didn't finish the final version until this morning and it was pretty rushed, due to not having much time to really work on it with everything else I have to do." she apologized. while she hid it well with her makeup, if one just looked close enough, it was pretty easy to tell she didn't get much rest. though, said person would have to be paying really close attention to her. she didn't expect anyone to do something, as she mainly only spoke to people in passing and when she had to speak to someone for prolonged periods, it was usually from a distant.

((aww. XD yeah i think it's a nice idea to have the texting thingie. :3))

"Wonderful," Marvin said absentmindedly. He wasn't a huge junkie but when he did have a taste for something in particular, he made sure to make it count. And a mcchicken was definitely what his future self would love to eat for lunch. He could imagine the yummy white sauce and the refreshing lettuce that would await him next week. Marvin was probably more excited about eating than talking to Aster about the book fair. But he did have to make sure he produced some results for her by the time their next meeting occurred. He didn't want to appear like a lazy guy even with if he wasn't totally excited to hold the book fair. But it was for the good of the school and the book club would definitely appreciated new material.

Marvin sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "It would be better if you didn't do it at at all, Aster." Her cheeky comment made his nose twitch for a second as his eyes bore through her. "Someone has to make this book fair run like clockwork. Oh yeah. I'm going to be concerned if the person who planned this, doesn't show up." Sure, he wanted her to be okay but it wasn't for the reasons she was thinking of. He needed her to be okay. There was no way he could run this show all by himself. And the book club members weren't likely to help anytime son.

Marvin rubbed the back of his neck as she kept spitting out offers for the bookclub. He understood why she was doing it, but it made her look too desperate for the book club to be 100% into the fair. He sighed again and said, "You sure? I think the others would love it if they got a new book this years, could really raise their spirits, but you don't have to. I'll get them to join one way or another." He supposed a little bribe wouldn't hurt to get their attention. They could really use all the help they could get and Marvin doubted Aster had all the manpower they needed to run the fair. "If nothing else, I'll help out more if the others decide not to go with your bribe." He scoffed.

Marvin looked at her quizzingly. Did he give her his phone number? Fine. He leaned on hand placed on the table said his number. Well, she was the head but how could she know that kind of information? She did have pretty handwriting. It was organized, well thought out, everything had its own place. The book club could really use more funding but Marvin wasn't about to complain to the Headmistress about it. "We would love that," he said softly as he still leaned on his hand, watching her. "We hadn't had any funding in a long time so this fair.... it really helps us out." Marvin would've wanted to pay out of pocket but he just didn't have the funds. Not that he was even sure he'd want to spend money on people who wouldn't even appreciate it.

She began to ramble on about the folder and he waved her off. "It's okay, I'll just correct any grammar mistakes you made, head." Marvin nodded as she continued talking. Most students would understand what she meant, the dark circles under one's eyes after a long period of overnight study would leave anyone in a frenzy. He knew it all too well. There were study sessions where he'd sleep for five minutes and then go on to the first morning class. He wore a bit of makeup to hide the bags under his eyes, lest he look like a raccoon. But sometimes he just didn't care, like today, so the makeup was the last thing on his mind. Marvin studied her for a moment. She was sluggish. If someone came to attack the school, although she would give it her best, she would likely be dead. And Marvin along with her. He was far too tired from the amount of work he had yesterday accompanied with the lack of sleep. "Prioritized the things you must get done first," he berated her. "The book fair can wait. You probably have better things to do as the head."

( i feel bad for doing this, and aster is definitely reading too much into this, but XD )

she simply nodded, glad he was content with someone else getting the meal instead of her. she'd be paying for it, she just didn't have the time to go out all the way to Mcdonalds, nor did it seem reasonable to ask for permission to leave the school just to get a mcchicken. though, marvin wasn't that petty. some students were, but she didn't think it mattered to him who went and got the meal for him as long as he got it. not to mention, it'd be coming out of her wallet.

she let out a small sigh. "fine, fine. I got it. I won't do it anymore, so you won't have to worry about me bailing at the book fair because of some injury." she said. she didn't want to continue with it, nor did she want him to think that she was going to bail on it. the previous head of the planning committee made a mess of everyone's trust anyways. she couldn't afford to bail. either way, she did promise not to do it again. at least, not until the book fair was over. she knew people could care less about her, as long as she was well enough to do as she's supposed to and not inconvenience anyone. perhaps that's why she didn't want to continue with that conversation. the thought always hurt whenever that thought became apparent to her, even if she didn't show it. she was used to it though. she got it enough from her father, and to some extent, her mother. it was the same with the classmates and teachers as well. perhaps that's why she didn't have actual friends. sure, she was nice to everyone as long as they didn't piss her off and she talked if she was spoken to, but she didn't really seek others out unless it was related to her work or she did a favor for them. she didn't hang out with others longer than she needed to either.

she nodded shortly after though. "I'm sure. while the main point of the event will be to raise some money and hopefully get more students reading and improve the literacy rates, it's also to promote the book club. I also want the students to be more involved. even if we are an academy for thieves, it's not something you can really fall back on. it's better for students to be involved to something similar to a workplace, which is exactly what the book fair will be. obviously, the current target is the members of the book club. It's also good for new students to interact with the members of the book club, it'll help promote it better, and hopefully, they'll be more willing to join. I'd imagine some of the first years are a bit hesitant to join some of the clubs because they don't know what the atmosphere will be like. being able to interact with the members of the book club during the event will give them a feel for that. Naturally, I want them all to be eager to volunteer so that atmosphere will be good." she explained. "I can't lie that it'd also be good for me as well, considering the impact the previous planning committee head made. I need the students to know that I'm willing to go beyond the necessary lengths as the head to do my job so that they can actually be excited about the events planned by us. not to mention, it'd also impact my credibility as the head of the fourth years," she explained. It seemed like she had thought about it a lot before deciding on that particular event. She needed it to be something that benefitted everyone, including the school and herself. This is why the book fair was to become her first project as the new planning committee head. the previous planning committee head didn't do a total bad job, it's just that they made promises they couldn't keep and had a few less than spectacular events despite how much they hyped it up. not to mention, the money that was stolen during one of the fundraising events. they didn't make much during the fundraisers, and the thief was caught, but their reputation definitely took a hit. There was a reason he wasn't the head anymore and that they had a few vacant seats on the planning committee. though, it was aster who had to deal with the aftermath.

as they spoke, she realized how confused he looked. "It's a school for criminals, don't think too hard into it." she hummed. she didn't do anything suspicious, she just requested to access his file. she wanted to put together a group chat for all of the fourth years to interact, and she needed to contact him for an event, so she had more than enough reason. all she really did was ask a teacher for his contact info, she didn't even look at a file. but, she liked how mysterious she seemed and was hoping it might creep him out a bit. "ah, I get it. a lot of clubs have been having trouble with funding. the events planned by the committee are for the students to have fun, but also to solve problems like that. I have some other events plan to help with that problem with other clubs as well, I just wanted to do the book fair first because it's more beneficial all around. Not to mention, it's easier since your the head and I don't have to worry about having to look behind you when it comes to your part." she explained. so, basically, what she was saying, is that she just trusted him to take care of his responsibilities as the head, which isn't something she can say for the heads of other clubs. it made sense. they were in the same year, and even though she didn't really talk too much with him in the past that they could say they were the best of buddies, he was probably the only head of a club she had spoken to.

She let out a sigh of relief when she heard his comment. "alright, thanks. I didn't exactly have much time to proofread it again, nor the energy." she said. "Ah, I do have a lot to do, and while it isn't an immediate concern, it'll be the first event I plan so I wanted to get it sorted out before anything," she said before standing up. she zipped up her binder before putting it in her bag. "I need to go to the teacher's lounge and print out copies of the notes for all the classes. I finished rewriting their last period, so I just need to print a few copies," she said. which, basically meant she needed to go. she didn't need the copies necessarily, but they were for those who missed class. she did them every day, and she always gave the copies to the teachers to give to the students when they returned. her handwriting was neat enough as is, but she always rewrote them because she sometimes would write them off in cursive. she was the head, so she might as well go all out. not to mention, it helped her gain the trust of those around her. something she needed. after all, what was the point of having a head if you couldn't trust them? if she was going to be completely honest, that's kind of what she was hoping to achieve from this project as well. an added bonus, that is. she knew that a lot of people were either jealous of her position or were spiteful because of it. While Marvin wasn't spiteful or anything like that, she still wanted him to at least come to see she wasn't a complete useless fool, even if she sometimes acted that way. after all, he was one of the smartest in their year and it seemed more useful to be allied with him than it was to be at odds. and, even if she wouldn't admit that she needed help or outright ask for it, it was something she desperately needed. While she was aiming to be the head of the planning committee as it was something she enjoyed doing, she didn't expect to also become the head of her year as a result of her pursuit. she just wanted to seem reliable and for her mother to be proud of her. she also didn't want to have to deal with her father's disappointment either, which was part of the reason she studied so hard for her classes, even though she didn't actually need to. she was usually the type of person who could get decent grades without trying, but honestly, decent grades weren't enough for her father. though, while it might seem like too much stress on a teenage girl in some people's eyes, she was actually quite used to others relying on her. perhaps it was because she was used to it that she hasn't broken under the pressure yet.

"I'll see you in our next class then?" she asked, swinging her bag over her shoulder. right now, she wanted to print out the copies, do her patrol around the halls, and then go to sleep. she may have to work hard, but she wouldn't let her health take too much of a toll. after all, she couldn't let her health decline because that'd be the worse possible outcome for her. it'd be like the ultimate way of letting everyone down.

( aster's the type of person who thinks a lot about what people expect of her and meeting those expectations. Her father has impossible expectations for her to reach, which is why she pushes herself so hard because her mother isn't capable of dropping his (view spoiler) ass.

"Thank you," Marvin said with a sigh of relief. He'd have to keep a close eye on her though. They couldn't lose their only hope if this book fair were to survive.

"I'll force them to join if I have to," Marvin said with a dead set tone in his voice. He was tired of begging people to join. So if the green little first years had no idea what was going on. He'd strap them to a chair, gag them, and force their hands to sign the application and BOOM! New member and the pressure of the book club fading out of existence would be solved. "The Headmistress never said we couldn't trap the little novices." That's it. That's how the book club would survive the upcoming years.

He paused mid-number when she said that. He tilted his head to the side. "But then... how....?" Marvin pushed away from the table and glared at her. The girl knew his phone number. Great. So what else did she know about him? Was it all the heads' jobs to be nosey? She probably read his file before this brief meeting took place. Marvin knew he would if they were in different positions. Mental note: steal Aster's file. No one would know he even opened the drawer. If she was to pull something on him, he'd need to have every advantage he could get. No way was she going to have him wrapped under her little finger. "Fine, so you have special head privileges, whoop de doo. But you should check me, just in case I steal all the money like last year." He said with a scoff. That was a big mess and Marvin was surprised it took the school that long to catch the thief. Really though, should it have been a surprised when they were raising a bunch of criminals? His sister would have a field day if she even caught wind of the academy. Arrests would be sprouting like weeds and before they knew it, the school could be closed down for good.

"I think we'll be fine," Marvin assured her. "So long you don't mess everything up, the book fair will be a breeze." Coming from Marvin, he knew she had everything in control. But he also wanted to prepare for just in case she couldn't make it or something came up. Just like with the green first years, he should just force his members to help out. After all, Marvin also wanted to prove that his club was the best, better than all the other dumb clubs out there. So this book fair was going to be amazing, he'd make sure of it. "If you talk to me during class, I'll hit you," he warned. He hated it when people tried to talk to him while class was in session. Even for something as important as the book fair. "If it's about the book fair, we can talk about it after, okay?" Marvin readjusted the folders under his arm and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Guess, I'll see you then." He gave lazy salute and blew out his cheeks, rubbing the back of his neck as his eyes kept shifting to the exit. He absentmindedly checked his watch and they had talked for a good forty minutes and twenty-eight seconds.

Sciopathic beanie | 199 comments Eden walked in and sat down in the corner, wearing his casual long sleeved shirt and jeans with his many chain accessory's and his choker and such on, he was reading manga with a cup of coffee in a takeaway cup and a can of monster he looked around noticing the people but trying not to stare

Cassian walked in not too far behind, he leaned into Eden, his hands on Eden's shoulder, then whisper in his ear: "Whatcha doin'?" He asked with his signature smug smirk. He hoped to startle the short male who was his bestfriend.

she didn't say much, though, she kind of wanted to. if she did though, she felt as though the conversation would carry on for too long. she wanted to end the meeting in a serious manner, though, that seemed almost impossible for aster as she let out a small stifled laugh at the part trapping the poor kids. she found the thought entertaining to think about. though, she didn't pay any mind to his little comment about stealing the money. while it was the treasurer's job to handle the money, for the event, she would be the one to guard the money box. the treasurer could handle it from there. She rolled her eyes at his comment about how they were relying on her not to mess up. though, it's not like she needed the reminder. she already knew well enough how much responsibility laid on her shoulders. she was originally planning on bothering him after classes, though, as soon as he said what he had said, she couldn't help the overwhelming urge to just bug the shit out of him. "yeah, yeah. thanks for coming, you can get back to your schedule. I'll just talk to the bookkeeper for a bit before leaving." she told him.

honestly, she didn't plan to speak to anyone. she just needed a moment to gather her thoughts in peace and quiet, and well, the study hall was as quiet as she was getting at the moment. honestly, she just wanted to plug in her headphones, put on one of her playlists, and just close her eyes. honestly, she would probably feel better playing an instrument, but until she got to where they were, the music was good enough for her. she honestly missed playing. she used to play music all the time at home, but since coming to the boarding school, she didn't find much time to participate in such hobbies. at least, not in quiet. she loved street performances, she did not like the idea of playing for a bunch of people at a private boarding school.

Ghost (either passed out or drinking monster) wrote: "Eden shivered and looked behind him seeing cassian then sighing and looking away and mumbling "d-dont do that" he then looked over at the 2 on the tables a bit away he didnt really recognise them a..."

Cassian pulled away, shoving his hands into his pockets, after having a good laugh. "Seen em around, other than that, never spoke to em." He answered after glancing towards them. He shifted his balance, that smug smirk hasn't left his face. "Did ya come here to read?" He tapped the book Eden held.

Sciopathic beanie | 199 comments "n-no i came here to stare at it and the words will speak to me" he muttered sarcastically before looking back at Cassian and pecking him on the cheek and blushing a little, then he went back to drinking his monster and scratching his neck and yawning before drinking his coffee and attempting to throw it to the bin, did not go in, instead it bounced off and rolled down to where Aster was sitting

while the girl should have reprimanded him, as that would normally be her job, she did see what he was trying to do and knew he wasn't trying to litter. so instead of getting upset, she got up and picked it up. she walked over to the garbage can and threw it away. she figured that they probably didn't want to be bothered, so she didn't say anything and just gave a small nod in greeting before heading back to her table and sitting down. if they were meeting up like she had with marvin, it's likely that they just wanted to discuss something and hang, not be bothered by some fourth year because they made a mistake. so, instead, she just plugged her headphones in and leaned her head forward. she placed her arms on the table before placing her head on it and closing her eyes. she didn't plan to sleep, she just wanted to listen to some music for a change.

As Eden sparked that sarcastic comment, he urged himself to knock Eden upside the head. But then Eden gave him a peck on the cheek. He smirked and the confidence came back once again, this guy was energetic around Eden, hoping for Eden to be more comfortable around him. It's been like that ever since they've become friends. "Pfft-" He held in his laughter from Eden missing the bin. "Great job." He applauded sarcastically.

Sciopathic beanie | 199 comments Eden hid his face and got a bit shy, after a few seconds he slide a small ish vape out his pocket, it was a odd looking one it kinda looked like a pen almost, and he smoked a little before looking up at cassian offering it for a smoke

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

Cassian smiled at Eden. Then took it took smoked it for a few seconds before handing it back to Eden. "When do you plan on training?" He asked with a voice that seemed to pry at others, but Eden must've been used to this. He was bored, and he wanted to do something, unless he'd probably be comparable to a bull in a china cover.

Sciopathic beanie | 199 comments ((Yeah most likley)

Sciopathic beanie | 199 comments Eden smiled and took another hit before looking back up at him and sighing "i already did train, but not everyone has your athletics" eden then blew out some more smoke into cassians face

"Aye!" He hit him upside the head, it wasn't painful, it was more or less a playful hit. "I know I am the best!" He got a bit louder, he was that kid to not notice how loud he is. He snatched the vape, smoking it more as he stood like a gremlin, glaring at Eden.

Sciopathic beanie | 199 comments Eden flinched when he hit him and scratched his neck again , as he did he got up and took the vape and smoked a bit before he took out the capsule and walked over to the bin, noticing Aster and smiling to her before throwing the empty capsule away and then he popped in another.

aster had been hoping to have a peaceful moment to herself, but upon smelling the smoke, her nose crunched up. she sighed and took her headphones out before going over to them. she didn't say anything, just took her phone out and took pictures of them individually. she couldn't text using her phone, so she mainly just used it for the music she downloaded and to take pictures. she put her phone in her pocket before looking at the two boys, holding her hand out. "i'm going to need you to give me the vape," she said. despite her cheery disposition, she showed in her meeting with marvin earlier, she seemed pretty monotone now. almost as if this was the last thing she wanted to be spending her time on. "next time you decide to vape, don't do it in a public space such as the study hall. people actually use this space to study and don't want to smell the smoke. have the common decency to do it somewhere outside where there is more ventilation. as per my position, I have to advise you not to do it at all though. although, i doubt it'll stop you." she advised with a sigh. "I'll be showing your pictures to the heads, so there will be no need to tell me your names or year," she added shortly after. "I'd also like to ask you to keep your voice down, as there are volume levels that are not appropriated or permitted within the study hall. treat it like a library and keep your voices to a minimum, please. you will be contacted and punished accordingly by your head. if you do not know the school rules, then read the rule book. if you know them and are deliberately breaking them, I'd suggest doing it more discreetly as to not get caught or not doing it at all. i do believe you two should have taken the stealth course up to this point, please have the common decency to use that knowledge so you do not inconvenience others." she finished.

Cassian furrowed his eyebrows, this kid was stupidly aggressive "Who the hell are you." He stepped, with a glare that most likely didn't do anything to the girl. "What gives you the right to walk up to us all 'goody two shoes' ordering us to give you our stuff!?!" He was aggressive, but you couldn't blame him with the home he lived in prior to attending the academy. He looked at her phone, almost tempted to snatch it from her. So that's what he opted for, He reached for the phone. Quite the idiot. This was what he was great at fighting and causing scenes.

the girl sighed. was this kid stupid? if she was reprimanding him, she was clearly a head or someone with the status to do so. the fact that she said she would tell their head should have made it obvious. before she answered, she noticed his hand reaching for her phone. she simply stepped out of the way and grabbed a book on the table next to her in case she needed it. she gestured it toward his hand, as if to say if he tried that again, she'd smack his hand. it was something one might do with a baby, just, usually with two fingers and lightly. there was no doubt she'd smack him as hard as she could with such a flimsy weapon. hard cover books still hurt like hell though. "I'd suggest not touching me or my belongings. if you haven't caught on by now, I am one of the heads," she said. while it was highly unlikely that she could beat an upper-classman in a hand-to-hand fight, her skill wasn't in strength. it was in flexibility and speed. so evading was more up her ally. if needed. she also had her baton. "if you do not wish for anything else to be added onto what I tell your head, it would be best if you keep your hands to yourself and not try to pick a fight. while, as you are upper-classmen, i do not doubt that you could beat me in a fight, even if you beat me senseless and take my phone it wouldn't matter. I've already seen your faces and at the end of the day, I'd still go and report this matter to your head." she explained. she was strangely honest. she wouldn't doubt that they could, especially in her state. she was sluggish and barely managed to evade. it couldn't be helped though, that's what happens when you don't sleep. "And unless you wish to be expelled, killing me isn't an option," she added shortly after.

'sorry marvin. i know i promised not to get hurt until we finished with the book fair, but not long after that conversation, I got beat up by these upperclassmen because I tried to take their vape. Oopsie.'
