Children's Zoo & Paint Ball Party, Billie's Wedding? Um-m...I think I'd be outta the country on this/these day(s). LOL

For sure, PugMom! And imagine a wedding where one must hire security guards. Such fun!?? LOL

Since Goldy is the only nearby caterer, I think it would wonderful if she just turned down Billie's job.

For sure, Pghfan. Unfortunately, she's stuck with her at this late date. Next postponement, I'd tell her to go elsewhere.

I haven't a clue at this point. :-O LOL

Also, maybe Goldy needs to open a spa next since it sounds as if Victor's isn't all that, lol!

Yes! I think Goldy and Julian could run the spa. Maybe poach some of Victor's employees haha
I have no idea what Jack sees in Charlotte except that he's probably lonely and at his age I guess there might not be too many available women where they live (too many of them already were murdered earlier in the series) LOL

A woman shortage due to previous murders, lol!
That Billie has some nerve showing at another gal's wedding. That's beyond all!
Poor Doc Finn! :-(
Poor Doc Finn! :-(
I agree that Jack's interest in Charlotte has something behind it. More than plain interest in someone who is just a bit less annoying than her daughter.
Ugh, the apple (or fruit) doesn't fall far from the tree. :-/ Yeah, either that or Char just was there, convenient gal in a new town. She, I feel, glommed onto him for some ulterior motiv...er, reason.
Charlotte's home sounds gorgeous no doubt sans mounted moose heads gracing the walls. Yuck!! I'd have a stomach flip if I were to enter a bldg. full of dead animals accessorizing the rooms.
Yep, Jack and Char are def. mismatched! Something going on there. Is she dating Jack as to keep a finger on the pulse of things via Tom?
Now, I wonder if her sound-proofed house is a foreshadow device of sorts? I trust we'll eventually find out. ;-)

Uh, oh...about that Jack and Isabelle thing...if I liked Charlotte, I'd have told Jack, "sayonara." But as I like Jack a bit more than Char-- Well, like or no like, that was crappy of Jack right down to trying to BS a mature woman like she was some naïve 16 year old. Not that it's acceptable to con a young gal-- This isn't a wedding, it's a disaster!
There are certainly no end of bizarre things going on, the Charlotte/Jack/Isabelle thing is only a bit of it!
We start with Goldy dealing with a bridezilla named Billie Attenborough, for whom Goldy is catering her wedding. Multiple changes and extreme pushiness from Billie has worn Goldy to a frazzle. In the midst of another wedding, word of the death of Goldy's beloved godfather, Jack, happens.
This is certainly a perfect storm of stuff for Goldy to deal with.
Midway through this section, we find that it appears that the death of Doc Finn was not an accident but murder.
I've not read many of this series since the first few, but always liked them. I found a bunch recently at used book stores, which is why I suggested one of them.
Let's discuss!
