Other Books: A Spark of Light by Jodi Picoult – 3 Stars (Rounded down)

I’ve read a few of Picoult’s books recently and I like how she writes about some difficult topics and issues facing women. Whilst the focus of this book is an emotive topic (a shooting at a women’s health clinic that carries out abortions), the author does generally manage to give a balanced view of the issues. The story is told in reverse, and thus takes away much of the mystery throughout the book, which is meant that I didn’t enjoy the book as much as I hoped as I already knew how everything was going to turn out. I also listened to this as an audiobook, and this meant that I sometimes got confused by the multiple points of view, and found it tricky to keep the characters separate in my head.
