Will looked at her. “Yeah. Why?” He gently rubbed her side .

Annie blinked. “Just wondering.” Annie said. She looked back at the garden.
William grunted quietly. He was debating about letting her sit on his lap. Was that going too far? He sighed, thinking.
Annie squeezed his hand softly. She gazed up at him. Was something wrong?
Will looked at her, then glanced down and out at the gardens. “You are comfortable, yes?” He rubbed her side slightly. “And you aren’t cold?”
Annie leaned into him. “I’m not cold.” Annie said. She was warm.
He blushed a little more. There wasn’t really and more room for her to lean on him unless she laid down on him. He rubbed her arm, not really able to rub her waist anymore. “Your arm feels a little cold.”
Annie looked up at him and gave him a weird look. She wasn’t cold. Was he playing with her?
Will met her eyes. “What? I think your arm feels a little chilly. I’m not saying you are cold, just that your skin feels a little cold.”
Annie wrinkled her nose, itching to poke him. She looked back at the garden. Hm.
William shifted again, pulling her close. “Sorry. I’m being an idiot.”
Annie let him. “You’re not an idiot.” Annie said.
Will nodded. “Yeah..” He looked back at the plant.
Annie watched the garden. Nice and quiet.
Will stood, making her get off of him. “I’m going to go grab some snacks.” He flashed a smile at her.
Annie smiled back. One of her eyes wandered to the garden. Unaware,
William walked inside, then walked back out onto the balcony. “Here.” He handed her a pastrie.
Annie took the pastry and smiled at him. Food. Finally.
William ate a pastrie, then ate a small roll with meat in it. He handed another one of the rolls to Annie. “It’s good. Trust me.”
Annie took the roll and ate it.
William sat down, eating his last small pastry. He put his hands on his lap, staring out over the gardens. He glanced up, admiring the sky.
Annie rested her head on his shoulder
William let her put her head on his shoulder. He leaned his head back. Will closed his eyes.
Annie held his hand. She hugged onto him softly. Quiet.
