Gabriella Romero senses that she’s in Jasmine’s crosshairs but continues to stay at the Flores compound. Did she have a choice or any other viable alternative?

She should have got out when the compound was attacked in the last book. Now it's been a few weeks and she is still hanging around. I don't understand why she was doing that, except she was feeding bits of information to Kane and Dante. She should have never stuck around that long.

[Jonetta]

Gabriella stuck around because she thought it would be too obvious if she left right away. However, she should have trusted her instincts that were screaming at her to get gone. Jasmine was becoming paranoid. She would have eventually turned on her one remaining brother.

[Anita]

The reason she stayed was to further the total destruction of the Flores cartel. I agree, she should have left after the compound was attacked, but she wanted total revenge on the family and Jasmine was really, really bad. She should have definitely headed her instincts and left earlier.

There was a period there where I was questioning why she lingered, especially after she could see Jasmine was unhinged.

I questioned her decision to stay. My guess is her need for revenge outweighed her sense of survival. A couple times, it felt like she didn't care if she died as long as she brought down the cartel.
