Jenni Enzor | 2 comments I'm new here too. I'm a little late. I had this book on hold for awhile before I finally got it. This is my second read, and I agree with others said that it's much easier to like Worth knowing that the end already. I think his mysteriousness is part of his charm, although at times I didn't understand why he didn't tell Judith a few things. I still don't understand why he let Judith think the cousin stopped the duel.

What I really like about Heyer is that her characters are so real, and both the men and women are strong. Both these main characters have faults, but that's what endears me to them. I also liked the subtle humor. Perry was so much fun!

I didn't think the historical details were too much, but then I have to admit I skimmed the pavilion and cock-fighting scenes too. :)
