I just reread the first one after several decades & loved it again. There's a lot to love about it. It's fairly simple & short, yet packs a great punch, something I appreciate more as I age & as novels have bloated.

Finished Rollins' The Last Odyssey, enjoyed this one, especially as by sheer luck it ties in with everything else I've been reading this year. I do find the "people under pressure solve a centuries old mystery in a matter of days" silly, kind of DaVinci Code style, but the mystery they were solving this time was perfect so I eye rolled a little less than usual :)
Continuing with the Cannongate mythology retellings with Binu and the Great Wall by Su Tong, not a legend I'm familiar with (unless it turns out to be Mulan but I don't think so), so will learn something new.

The Great Sea: A Human History of the Mediterranean by David Abulafia
