I mean “nook” is a word but it always corrects it to “book” 👀 which is why I have to turn off the autocorrect a lot
Apparently it means “small corner?” But I guess my corrector refuses to believe the dictionary
I hate my autocorrector with such a passion that it's permanently OFF

I see where you're coming from.
Why don't you make a writing group on GR with friends whom you could trust to give you right advice? That way you'll write, show it to your trusted outside world and your story will actually get better.

Hi nookies, sorry for being inactive as I was asleep :)
But for Aleja: I’m not sure since I haven’t read it, but apparently The House Of Earth And Blood by SJM is set in modern day but is a fantasy. We’re always here to help you figure out ideas :)
Don’t worry, I’m also very skeptic about Sarah J. Maas and don’t plan to read her books, but I’m drawing on what I’ve heard :)
I’m interested in that kind of unconventional fantasy so please tell us once you’ve gotten a start! If you ever make a writing group then I’d love to be in it :)
That’s wonderful! World building is always a good wya to start a story and you’ve got us intrigued.
