I found this series grew better as it went along. I quite enjoyed them. The again, I live in Southern California, the setting for the fictional town, so that was part of the draw.

I’ve had this series for years but never got around to reading it. I have just finished (July 8, 2021) book #1 in the Aurora Anderson Mystery Series. I found Fatal Brushstroke by Sybil Johnson totally fun. I have been an avid “Tole Painter” for over 35 years, so this series speaks to me. I found most of the characters likable. I had a sneaking suspicion about the identity of the killer. However, I wasn’t sure as there were many possibilities.

Like Shelly, I've had this series on my list for years but never got around to starting it until it came up here. I read the first book and liked it more than most first-in-a-series books I've read over the years. I look forward to reading book #2 in the series.
