Hey JMCDC! Use this log for every mini challenge you participate in.

July 2021: The Ultimate Flowers Reading Challenge
Challenge Runtime: July 1st- July 31st.
Type: Individual


1. Your goal is to make bouquets as many as you can.
2. There are 7 regular flowers and 5 rare flowers which can go in the bouquet.(Find the list below)
3. A regular flower goes in to your bouquet on completing 1 prompt of that flower.
4. A rare flower goes in to your bouquet on completing both the prompts of that flower.
5. There are 3 Mixed Bouquet arrangements you can make:-
- Small Bouquet: 5 flower stems
- Medium Bouquet : 10 flower stems
- Large Bouquet : 15 flower stems
6. Additionally, you can also make specific flower bouquets, for example, a rose bouquet, by completing all prompts for it. Though, this doesn't apply for rare flowers, they can only go into mixed flower bouquet arrangements.
7. You will get 2 bouquet orders to complete during the challenge, which will be a specific arrangement of flowers. This will get you extra points but it is optional to complete.

1) Daffodil:-

-Read a book with a yellow cover
-Read a book about a character who's always bright and cheerful
-Re-read a book with an ending that made you smile
-Read a book where the main character trusts everyone too easily
-Read a book that takes place in summer

2) Rose:-

-Read a book with a rose on the cover
-Read a book about one-sided love
-Read a book where a character prefers warmer climate
-Read a book where a character is bossy
-Read a book about a beautiful friendship

3) Gerbera:-

-Read a book that's multi-colored
-Read a book about a person who loves flowers
-Read a book about a character with a multi-faceted personality
-Read a diverse book with multiple reps
-Read a book where the Sun is a major part of the magic system

4) Orchid: -

-Read a book that's purple or white
-Read an enemies to lovers book
-Read a book where a character is very graceful and elegant
-Read a book which takes place in a tropical forest
-Read a book about a heist

5) Peony:-

-Read a book that's pink
-Read a book about a character who's always lucky
-Read a book where a character learns to be honorable
-Read a book where the main character is of royal blood
-Read a book which takes place in a land which is known for their plants/flowers

6) Lily:-

-Read a book that has the word "lily" or "lilies" in the title.
-Read a book in the perspective of a child
-Read a book where the concept of reincarnation is included
-Read an Asian myth
-Read a book where a character is named Lily

7) Carnation:-

-Read a book where at least4 letters from "Carnation" are found in title.
-Read a book where author's initials have letter from "Carnation".
-Read a book where the MC is fond of Pink color or pink things.
-Read a book where a mother is MC.
-Read a book where word "wine" or "ale" is found in text.

Rare Flowers:-

1) Lotus

- a book with a character who is clean (doesn't swear etc.).
- a book with a character who lives near/ likes to go to a pond.

2) Lilac

- a book where the main character loves the colour lilac.
- a book with the word "Lilac" found in text.

3) Plumeria

- a book set in spring.
- a book that takes place on Huawei or any other tropical island.

4) Hyacinth

- a book with a main character who is very tall.
- a book with a Greek God as a main character.

5) Gardenia

- a book with a MC who has a close-knit family.
- a book with a character who cannot/ is forbidden to love. (hide spoiler)]

Scoring:-
Prompt Scoring: 2 points for completing a prompt of regular flower and 4 for a rare flower.
Bouquet Scoring:-
- Small Bouquet: 5 flower stems--- 4 points
- Medium Bouquet : 10 flower stems--- 10 points
- Large Bouquet : 15 flower stems--- 16 points
- Specific Flower Bouquet: 4 points
- Bouquet Orders: Will be specified according to the order.

Review: 2 points extra.
Page Count Scoring: For every book above 300 pages-
301-400: 2 points
401-500: 3 points
501-600: 4 points
601-700: 5 points
701 and above: 7 points

Bouquet Order #1

It's the Wedding Season!
Create a wedding appropriate bouquet, with minimum requirements as:-

1. It should have at least 4 flower stems, and not more than 8.
2. There should be one rare flower in the bouquet.
3. One lily stem is a must.

Completion date for the order: Not later than 20th July PST.

Create a singular post here, which should include all your reads (book logs) for this bouquet order.

Points: 10 points for 4 stems, and 15 for 8 stems. If the stems are more than 4 but less than 8, 1 point for every stem.

Bouquet Order #2

A business organization wishes to celebrate and honor women in their company. Their requirement is a beautiful and cherishable bouquet.
Create a bouquet, with minimum requirement as:-

1. It should have only 4 flower stems and not more or less.

Plan to add the flower stems based on the company's preferences as below(in decreasing order):-
1. Roses- 3 points per stem
2. Gerbera- 3 points per stem
2. Lilies- 2 points per stem
3. Carnation- 2 points per stem
4. Orchid- 1 points per stem
6. Peony- 1 points per stem

Add a rare flower stem for extra 4 points.

Completion date for the order: Not later than 30th July PST.

Create a singular post here, which should include all your reads (book logs) for this bouquet order.
