You can read the group book at any time during the month and at your own pace. This is the pace the group will be using, but if you read ahead or will be giving spoilers, please mark them (click the "some html is ok button"). If you have any questions a mod or another member can help you.

Leslie Dauer-Creek | 320 comments Just started the book on Kindle (sample) and was intrigued enough to check this out of the library.

Laura ☾ | 1102 comments I've just finished this and, while I did like some elements, overall this was just alright to me somehow.

The narrative just didn't draw me in as much as I would have liked, mostly because I found it very very slow-paced.

Then again, I also wasn't as fond of The Great Gatsby as a lot of other people, and that may have been part of the problem!

I would have to agree, I did really like The Great Gatsby but I didn't find my enjoyment of the original book to be enough to keep me engaged

Jen K | 1547 comments Started this yesterday, I missed that it included a bit of magic. So far I like Jordan. I read The Great Gatsby years ago so I'm not entirely sure what to expect but I still don't really like Daisy or Gatsby.

Jen K | 1547 comments I really liked the character study of Jordan and didn't mind the slow pace. There was a lot going on between the world building and the retelling that could have been smoother but overall I enjoyed it.

Katie (love---katie) | 576 comments I didn't think I would have time to get to this before the end of the month, but I had some extra time so I'm going to squeeze it in! I haven't read The Great Gatsby in several years but I am excited to see Nghi Vo's spin on the story.
