The big confrontation occurs at Peter Morgan’s cabin between Dax, Holland and Beau Kirk. We also learn that Gemma is really a Secret Service agent dispatched by Gus to protect Holland. Your thoughts about this scene?

It was exciting. Gemma took me by surprise. I was sure she was part of the conspiracy, although I did think she was the woman who yelled when Dax and Holland were on the balcony. The more I thought about, I thought Holland would recognize Gemma's voice.

Beau was a jerk. I wonder if that is why his wife left him. Holland was betrayed by everyone important in her life except Gus. I hope Gus turns out to be what I expect in the next book.

After losing so many people in her life, it seems like it would be incredibly difficult for Holland to lose the person that had been her role model.

[Anita]

I never thought Gus was Secret Service! That was a surprise. Holland loved her uncle and was devastated to find out he was just a corrupt cop looking for a big payout. I was a fantastic scene.

[Sharon]

I didn't think Gus was secret service she works for the WH press crew. She used her connections to get Gemma assigned to NCIS.

[Anita]

I meant Gemma, sorry.

Beau’s wife left him because he was “a difficult man,” according to Holland. I’ll bet she also knew he was corrupt.

I was surprised that Beau was willing to kill Holland. Gotta say I wasn’t unhappy he didn’t live. This man was destructive and destroyed a man’s life and career.

This was a great scene.

I had my suspicions about Gemma early on and they were solidified when a woman called out to save Dax from the sniper. I understood that she was on Dax and Holland's side but not that she had been hired by Gus.

I loved that reveal.

It never occurred to me that she would be secret service. And what a delight that Gus had sent her there. What a true friend she is.

I loved this scene. It revealed so much. Not that Beau was a big surprise. Something about him always bothered me. But willing to shoot Holland...nope, didn't see this coming.
