Shanna_redwind | 72 comments I read through the Book/Not a Book section, and I just wasn't sure. Maybe it's just that it's late and I'm tired.

Is a novel length completed story written in a blog considered a book?

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments I would wait for rivka (head librarian)to comment on this one.

I personally don't think blogs are considered published by GR standards, because then we would have to consider any short blog post a short story ( fiction or non fiction) and then evetryone will be adding their daily blogs as stories but that s my opinion.

I remember writing some thing similar in another thread but cannot find it to see what else was written about it.

Looks like it can stay, we have allowed short stories on blogs to remain so a full length novel should get to stay

Does the author define it as a book? Is it a single item on the blog, or a series of entries?

Shanna_redwind | 72 comments She has several novel length stories and a few novella length ones, each one with a dedicated blog. The story is in a series of entries, each one of which she calls a chapter. The only other posts on each blog are a few that go across all of her stories detailing updates to the stories. There's not many off topic posts like that, and she's not doing that anymore because she has a separate blog dedicated to updates to the stories and her life.

Not all are finished, but I was wondering about adding the ones that are finished. I personally consider them books, but I wasn't sure about goodreads.

I'm not sure that the author ever uses the phrase book. She just calls them stories.

They sound pretty borderline, at best.
