So her kisses never had magic omg, he just thought it was funny. Savage 😂😂 LaLa is a fate??? She’s the Unwed Bride, really thought it would be Marisol lol. I don’t know yet if Tiberias is evil or not. He does feel like a villain, maybe even together with Marisol. I also wonder what the amulet was that Apollo was wearing, could it be a magical item? I remember it from the Fairyloot fanart I once recieved, so I feel like it must be important. Maybe he’ll come back to life, and it’s something of Legend’s? Idk😂😂 grasping at straws now.

Wtf a vampire??? Since when is that a thing in this book????? That seriously came out of nowhere wtf is this bullshit. That might be a bit too much for me, it doesn't really fit in this world in my opinion. I still love LaLa a lot, and her fate is so tragic :’( Poor thing. Ah yeah so Marisol did have a book on nasty spells. I’m sure there’s some reason for it, but I just distrust her. I love the badass outfit that Evangeline is wearing now :’)

Aaaaah so the soldier guy is another Fate, Chaos! That mask must be torture for him; not to be able to give in to your urges for centuries. Damn. I’m sure it’s going to come off at some point and he’ll bite everyone in sight. Scarlett could probably get it off; I’m guessing the Fallen Star put it there and the dagger she got with his powers can get it back off? Also, am I too crazy to think that Tiberius is a vampire too? I mean, he did disappear for a looooong time. Jacks is still cute, Chaos is.. well, chaos. (hide spoiler)]

Chaos told you about the bloodlust🙄 And now he’s a fullblown vampire you idiot. But Jacks saved her :’) He loooooves her hehe. Oh shit Jacks is a vampire now!! Don’t let him feed omg. But he’s still protecting her :’) Oh my he’s talking about Tella. Poor baby :( Man I love Jacks, and I still think Evangeline is his REAL true love. I mean, Tella was dying before she wasn’t, and I feel like his real true love wouldn’t feel like she was dying at all. I can’t wait for them to finally kiss.

My oh my, the scene in the graveyard was hot. I love Jacks so much. And of course he’s the reason why she’s here in the first place :’) Evangeline really can open every door hmmm? Then she should use her blood on the one in the library. So cool. It definitely feels like Marisol and Tiberius are working together. I don’t trust either of them one bit. And Apollo’s body has gone missing??? So that means he isn’t dead?? I still think the amulet stone thingy brought him back to life idk.

THE UGLY COINS AND BLUE RIBBON IN JACKS HIS DESK OMG :’) The blue ribbon is from Tella’s dress, isn’t it??? And the coins are definitely luckless coins. Why can’t we just know the end of the Ballad of the Archer and the Fox?? Dammit!! Marisol definitely seems to have made the potion then.

This sounds like the worst plan in history, seriously. And the water is already enchanted, so why would you put the antidote in a bottle that already has enchanted water??? That doesn't seem smart??

What a bitch. I hate Marisol and I don’t believe Evangeline would just forgive her like that. And now she has the AUDACITY to be mad at Evangeline???? Chick what you did was way worse wtf? I expected him to have been working with Marisol, but not necessarily that he was the one who killed Apollo. Although he tried to kill Evangeline lol so he messed that up. But I don’t think he did it; he only poisoned the wine, but not the oil on Apollo right. He’s working with the secret group that’s trying to prevent the arch from being opened, AND we finally got the whole prophecy. Now I only need the end of the Ballad and I’ll be happy.

Oh my Apollo IS still alive!! Still don’t think he’ll be very happy to see her lol. Shit I need to keep reading but we have to wait so long for the next book😭😭 I hate that she now thinks that Jacks is behind it all - he probably is - but she finally started to like him :( We were making progress and I couldn’t wait for them to kiss, but then this happened :( we didn’t even see him in the end :(((((( I wanted a happy reunion dammit :( He’s still so darn cute :’) Even though it might’ve not been Marisol behind the love spell on Tiberius, I still dislike her a lot.

Oh my there was a little bonus scene in the back of my edition of the book, where Julian appeared as well!!! So happy about that :’) They wanted Evangeline to lure Jacks out so they can take him prisoner. I wonder if that’s going to come back :0 (hide spoiler)]
It definitely feels like this is going to be a trilogy, not a duology right? Do we know how many books there’ll be?

Seeing Scarlet and Tella again was lovely. Sad that the curiosity shop is now closed.

Finished it I did love it and cant wait for the next book (view spoiler)[ I dont think Tiberius actually killed his brother. The tears are supposed to only effect women and they were in the wine which didn't appear to be touched. Plus it would've made him a crying mess and actually killed him which obviously isn't what happened.

Marisol is not a nice girl. Very jealous and should've tried to talk with Eva sooner. Then again Eva should've picked a different time to come clean about the fates also.

Jacks is well Jacks. I wouldn't be surprised if he did put Apollo into that state as he needed her to become a fugitive and everything also plus like she said he does become a good bargaining piece.

Im listening to this one and I'm hooked. I have only read Caraval and feel like it is not really needed to have read the other ones to enjoy this one... I haven't felt lost or in need to read the other ones first.

Chapter 2: (view spoiler)[It only took me 10 minutes to really get into Garber's rich and descriptive prose, and I love it! Evangeline and Jacks are already interesting, and yikes, what did Jacks do? Turn everyone into stone is quite dramatic, but if you're familiar with him in Caraval, it's on par with what he's done there. This is going to be an interesting romantic suspense/drama with just that touch of fantasy to keep things moving. (hide spoiler)]
