23%(view spoiler)[I am really liking this book so far it is a great gender bent Beauty and the Beast so far. I really like the characters especially Merit she is interesting has strength of character and does things her way. As for a few of the other characters Tevin's parents are garbage I like his siblings and cousin as for Merit's mother I dislike her only thinks of what she wants not her daughter. I am liking the plot it starts with Merit refusing to marry and being cursed moves to Tevin and telling of his con artist family and his terrible mother that traded herself for her son so things have happened and they have struck a deal to find Merit a husband so her curse will be broken. So overall I am enjoying this book will continue soon. (hide spoiler)]

I still love the characters especially Merit and Tevin also his cousin and brother all are so well written. I love that the romance is slow burn but I can really see it looking forward to where it goes from here. I am loving the plot they have moved on to finding suitors going to balls to carnivals getting closer all at the same time I am liking where this is going the story is really interesting. All of the characters are so interesting and fun to read about some are still very dislikable but that takes nothing away from the story. The plot is great the plan to end her curse by marrying one of the suitors is close to the end Merit has many doubts of course her and Tevin just get closer all the time there are somethings causing things to go the way they want it to Latimer his mother. The characters are amazing I was highly entertained by all of them the strong willed Merit the charming Tevin and his amazing siblings and cousin as well as the people surrounding Merit. I loved the plot it moved on to Tevin going with Val and others to stop the wedding of Merit and Latimer things happen in a forest they get to the wedding get caught escape and crash the wedding and it has the perfect happily ever after this is now my favorite Beauty and the Beast retelling.
