Yeah, I'm guessing this would be the first one to really have some crossover. ZA 4 -Shadow Princess is supposed to be read right before Vicious Fae.

Do you wonder why Gabriel always has his wings out? Even in ZA he does.
I came across a sentence in Savage Fae that I think might be the reason, but it was very situational so I'm not sure.
He said he wanted to keep his wings out in case he needed to make a quick exit.

I've been asking myself that question since Cursed Fates and that's the closest I got to an answer.
What do you think?

So I haven't wondered that yet. I do feel like he answered that in the first book?? I'll need to go back and look to see if I can find anything.

So I had a theory that for this to work the boys had to be Nebula Allies, but I am beginning to think that Ryder and Dante are in fact Astral Adversaries and that's part of all of their intertwined tests.
The only one I am still not sure what are his test is Leon. Maybe we didn't get to them? Or he's just passing with flying colours and it's all about acceptance and cooperation for him? However there's still the bit about Gareth.
But it seems the tests for Gabriel, Dante, and Ryder are much harder and challenging.

Ch 19-25 I'm actually glad that (view spoiler)[Gabriel finally knows that she is Gareth's sister. I'm curious what he is worried about though. I'm starting to suspect that it's one of the teachers that are involved in his death: King, Nightshade or even Greyshine. (hide spoiler)]

I'm also wondering how long it's going to take Dante and Ryder to want to get out of their current deal and make a new one. Elise is.... well learning. She stopped being annoying on the Gabriel front.

Is it possible there is no foreshadowing or hints on who the real killer is? I've learned so much, but I still have zero clues who killed Gareth and all my theories are hitting a wall.
The only one I have the most belief in is my initial Bryce one. Although so many things can still point out to the other ones too.

I'm very curious how everything will play out in the next book, but I'm going to follow the list and jump back over to ZA with book 4 :)

The silver around the eyes...it makes me question everything about Zodiac Academy. If Darius and Tory and Darcy and Orion aren't elysian mates I'll be sad! Is the silver there?! I'm somehow already feeling like I need to reread the books because I'm likely missing little tidbits. (hide spoiler)]

Brittni, Elysian Mates get the silver rings when they get their divine moment and IF they accept to be together, if not, they get black rings around their eyes.
So in ZA since up to where you read there are no divine moments then there are no silver or black rings.

So what you are reading is a vision that Gabriel saw in regards to Elise and him. The silver doesn't happen until they have their Divine Moment (which they haven't had). If they choose to be together they become Elysian mates. If not, they will be Star Crossed.

FYI, you haven't missed anything in ZA. No one has had any Divine Moments.

I don’t know what it is about this book. I’m enjoying it but not as much as the zodiac academy. That said, it took me a minute to get into the first book of ZA and then I couldn’t stop. Did either of you feel the same way? It’s just not grabbing me the same way.

Yes. It took me a bit, but you really start to root for the Kings, some more than others. Elise took me a bit to warm up to, but I enjoyed the break from ZA once I kept going. By the end of the second book, I didn't want to jump back to ZA. The struggle was real lol

Yeah I think I did and part of it for me was because I was trying hard to disconnect from ZA, plus it starts slow while we're trying to understand the entire context. Also the emotional damage and tension in ZA is on a different level so I kept comparing in the beginning.
But then I just kept going and couldn't stop.

But if you think you're done and got all the stubbornness with Tory and Darius's in this universe, hehe, think again

Ok. Good to know. I’m just over half way through and I’m finding it pretty slow. I’m definitely comparing a lot but trying not to. Definitely going to push through. I’m having a hard time warming up to Elise. She’s not bad, I’m just not sold on her.

I felt the same way with Elise, so you are not alone there! The guys made the books for me honestly. I can't wait to see which one(s) you like! :)

Are we getting our pick of the kings? I love them all, but I think I have a sweet spot for Ryder, and well Gabriel has had a piece of my heart since Cursed Fates in ZA, so

I love the others but I mean if I HAVE to pick... and that's why we love "why choose"

I love them all, but I'm a huge Ryder fan. And now that I've seen Gabriel in Shadow Princess, he's close up there. He is totally different in ZA than he is in this one for sure. But I love how he is with the Vega twins and how he was with Lance. There was definitely some foreshadowing as well, which is why I'm loving reading these in publication order. It just makes you want to keep going and not stop. Self-control is a real thing in this universe!

The character development for Ryder and Gabe is impeccable, and that's one reason Gabriel is so different in ZA.
You'll love reading the start of Gabriel-Lance friendship in Vicious fae.

I saw some of your past comments on this and I also IMMEDIATELY thought of Caleb being her sibling because they mentioned her father being a powerful vamp and the physical characteristics are similar.

Also curious about Gabriel being related to the twins. I mostly thought this because of the harpy connection to their mother.

It's interesting that she's feeling a pull to ALL of the kings. I kind of assumed she wouldn't once she became mates with Gabriel but she's had moments with all of the Kings. (hide spoiler)]

Order forms have to do with genes/DNA but also the stars and zodiac, rising signs, their entire birth chart basically, their houses, their angel numbers or duno what they're called in this book, if there are any celestial events happening etc etc
so probably Dante had someone in his ancestors who was a dragon probably

No I think it's confirmed that (view spoiler)[both Lionel and Catalina are Xavier's parents. Plus Xavier is a very strong pegasus one of the biggest known and strongest, that definitely has to do with his heritage. Well unless we discover something else later (hide spoiler)]

Based on Shadow Princess, I am (view spoiler)[definitely questioning who Xavier's dad is. When he was telling Darius about how his mom came in and was crying and she whispered that she wished she could tell him, I immediately thought that Lionel isn't his dad. Since we clearly know that Lionel isn't faithful, I'm guessing she wasn't faithful either. (hide spoiler)]

As far as I've read I don't think it's confirmed that they're his parents. All Lionel said when questioning (view spoiler)[who to use for wielding the fifth element was that Xavier was definitely pure blood. I actually kind of wondering if he may have a different mother or something. I don't know though. Lionel was never faithful and that much was clear. That's why I kind of wonder who else he's slept with and just left behind. (hide spoiler)]

I feel like I've read so many fantasy books with insane twists that my mind just goes wild with theories now haha. I just assume the most insane plot twist is likely at this point.
