Also ughhhhhhh I hate King and I’m literally dying wanting to know who the hell it is. I was a bit worried diving back into this after so many books later,I know it’s not been long since I read the last one but still lol. No matter because I was sucked back in in no time. I feel some type of way about her new family, mostly her aunt. I don’t know if she’s truly trustworthy, dumb, or just a smart council schemer because she’s already lied to Elise a few times on some things. She magically drugged her to tell all and now almost seems to be using Elise for the publicity. She doesn’t seem all that concerned about King and it’s annoying because she really does have the power to help.

Hope King’s not like her new uncle or something, that’s be lame. I don’t think it’s the aunt but then again I also don’t think it’s someone who is a current council member anyways. At this point I still don’t know what to think and I’m almost loving Elise and her mates doing some family bonding so much that I wonder if I’ll even feel some type of way when King’s identity is finally revealed. I mean I would hope it’s super shocking and mind blowing but goodness this storyline needs to end already…. And Gareth, I need answers. He better not be dead after all this 😤🤭😮

Finally I gotta say I love that this hellhound seems bonded to Ryder. So cute but too bad she’s not always there when needed, just occasionally lol. Damned animals with their own responsibilities and superior intelligence 😝😝 (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[I’m literally so sad to be done. Feels like I spent so much time with these characters it’s going to be hard letting them go. Im devastated over Gareth really being gone. In one respect I get it, we already prepared for him to be dead from the start but that small smidgen of hope took over and the pain Elise is feeling is real.

I hate that there’s a few threads left open as far as Gabriel’s backstory. And Rory being in jail for sooooo long. I don’t understand why Lionel got to live. After as his conniving evil ways I wanted blood and for a second it seemed like that’s what fate wanted. I mean Gabriel even said thousands of atrocities would be stopped with his death but alas….. 😢🥵😢🤬

I really loved the extended epilogue. The guys as fathers, I mean I couldn’t ask for more especially their over protectiveness of their daughter. Gabe having the sight I’m sure made the years very interesting for them all.

I am def all about more of Rosalie though, seems like maybe she’ll get a harem too, Rory and maybe Ethan? I dunno I’m all about it though because she was a pretty awesome alpha in the making and how could I not love and appreciate a badass female heroine. This book was by far my favorite and I really loved this series even if some of these plot line dragged on to the ends of time lol (hide spoiler)]

Gabriel is definitely very different from what I know of him.
The introduction of the others was interesting. Ryder particularly piqued my interest.

I already know the answers to some things about Gabriel and what chapter 13 offered us plus the future since some answers or clues were available in the other books in ZA.
I should have definitely waited to read in order lol 😂 but I am sure with us both we'd have figured things out.
Now I am just concerned how things will go to shit 😂

Concerning how the book is going so far with Gabe specifically, (view spoiler)[he is definitely different from what I know of him and his mood and character are sooooo different. But I guess that's what happens when someone is hiding and scared for his life from the unknown?
I didn't feel enough heat between him and Elise before their encounter and I guess that was on purpose. They wanted us not to understand Gabriel before this. But from their sex it's also obvious they're Elysian Mates.
I mean they say Elysian Mates are so rare but this universe surely has enough mentions of couples who are that I came across so far.
Note, Elise's name was never mentioned in the ZA books up to book 5. So that only makes me wonder 😂 (hide spoiler)]

Another thing.... Lionel Screw-Him Acrux has been mentioned enough times in this book to make me think he'll have a role to play and that only brings dread.
But I hope this series doesn't only make him out to be the main antagonist for everyone even tho he's a horrible horrible horrible horrible person.
