I spent a daft amount of time in Death Stranding gathering materials to rebuild the roads and a massive network of ziplines, so i could reach any of the settlements without touching the ground. Took a long time but probably helped with the 2 plats overall

Yeah Glass, worked great, by the end I could get anywhere without going near the BTs. Then again by the end, you're well enough equipped that you don't need it as much. Definitely helped with the delivery related trophies though
You guys are making me consider playing Death Stranding. Something I never thought would happen.As it is, I've become slightly obsessed with trying to get the last DLC trophy on Remnant 2. Its a stupid amount of work for just a silver trophy but I've put too much into it to back out now.

I play Darktide. It's another great Left 4 Dead squad/mission based game. It's not quite as magic as Vermintide 2, but is more oriented around shooting so it should scratch that itch.

Yeah, despite their nonsensical transport route, it turned up yesterday evening. Downloading stuff at the minute, so haven't really played it too much. Did give Demon's Souls a wee blast and yep, looks marginally better ;)
Did Jedi Survivor really get an upgrade? There are areas if you look into the distance, it still ain't the greatest. To my eyes anyway

I’ve been playing HZD Frozen Wilds and really enjoying it, bar the puzzles. Looks graphically amazing.
And Blops 6 is upgraded now too and it looks a lot sharper in 120hz - before it was pretty soft looking resolution wise.
Space Marine 2 is looking a lot sharper and smoother now. In terms of before & after differences, it's winning so far

Even without it's a lot smoother. After Jedi Survivor, I was starting to think I'd paid £700 for an SSD upgrade, but Dragons Dogma 2 looks much better as well. Looks to be a bit hit and miss overall, Silent Hill 2, I think supposedly got enhanced....but I don't see it, not that it's bad, just minimal visible difference and still not buttery smooth
Although maybe Silent Hill 2 hasn't been patched yet, might just be on its way
Overall pretty content with the Pro. Varies from game to game but generally good stuff from what I've tried

After playing the Pro for the weekend it’s a step up for sure but if I had to be completely objective it’s not worth the money especially if you’ve already got a PS5. I’m a sucker for new tech so I’ve got no regrets. Actually I’ve transferred my old PS5 to my living room OLED TV and to be honest that’s a bigger upgrade so I’m very tempted to waste yet more money replacing my gaming TV with an OLED.
I think I'm probably having as much fun seeing what's improved and how much, in the enhanced games. Until Dawn Remaster is much improved, Dead Island 2 is looking great now, FF7 Rebirth had some framerate issues but now seems to be perfectly smooth. I'm definitely happy with having higher and more stable framerates, it makes a huge difference in a lot of games. I'll likely spend a few more days just testing things out before getting stuck back into proper gaming.And other pluses - another new controller to replace the dodgy ones I'd been using (how long will this one last), the extra HDD space is a luxury when you were making do with the original PS5 one, and my old PS5 was having fan issues and was getting pretty loud, the Pro seems almost silent in comparison

Saw a pile of Pros laying aroung in several retailers this weekend.

Definitely depends on the game - some are significantly better, and some you look at and think the developers are having a laugh claiming it's enhanced. I've been playing a bit of Planet Coaster 2 and Until Dawn Remaster while I download other "enhanced" games to check out the difference. I think if they'd have priced it closer to the basic PS5 and given that a slight price cut, people might be more tempted

Finished the Until Dawn Remaster and enjoyed replaying it. I still think it's really overpriced for what is, they could have smoothed out some of the originals clunkiness. And it just didn't look right on the standard PS5 to me, without the Pro I don't think my eyes would have put up with it but yeah, generally enjoyed the replay. Managed to keep 3 of them alive this time, from memory I think only one made it the last time
I've just bought and cancelled the ps5-pro with disc drive bundle TWICE.very.co.uk, 20% off for first purchase if you spread the cost (interest free), so the whole bundle came down to like £640...which is excellent considering the console is £699 alone and then the drive is at least £99 if you can find it anywhere. On very it was a pre-order for delivery by 29th Nov.
I messed up the order first time and ordered at full price so quickly cancelled, but second time did it properly but then immediately knew i really didn't need it, my phat ps5 is still an absolute beast, can't justify, wife will kill me, etc etc. so cancelled again after about 5 mins lol
I will get one eventually, but will stick to my guns and wait until it's on sale when ps6 is on the horizon etc...or if ps6 has a disc drive (or optional one at least) then i'll just get that instead. I just want the best possible console which can still play discs.
You're probably wise holding off Phil. When you look at how the Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster runs on the normal PS5 for example, it's obviously still more than capable
On one hand I'm pretty happy with the Pro and no regrets. On the other hand, I've looked through all the games I own and reckon the vast majority will see little/no difference.

My main aim for getting a Pro is that I've been very disappointed in a lot of games being sub 1080p (often being 720p) at 60fps. If PSSR and the Pro GPU extra grunt can at least make these games look noticeably more crisp I'm happy with my purchase.
Finished off the campaign in Space Marine 2, only had a few missions left apparently, and yeah it's definitely got that PS360 era shooter playability. Couple of mildly annoying boss types but overall decent fun. Not going to chase the plat though, at the minute anyway.And I said earlier I reckon the majority of my game collection, I'll see little benefit on the Pro....but stuck on Dark Souls 2 and it looks great (significantly crisper anyway) so maybe other games it'll have more of an effect than I'd thought
Bloodborne is looking decent as well, framerate is still the same but otherwise a nice wee boost on the Pro
I think I'm going to have to stick my PS5 back on and reinstall Resi Village and compare it to the Pro. I remember thinking when it was first out that it was a really good looking game for the most part, with some areas better than others. Started it up on the Pro and wondered - I remember it was good...but was it this good? I do think I'm going to have to pick a game and stick with it though and stop the comparisons, before I drive myself crazy

Still playing Mass Effect 2 LE.
Im near the suidice mission and finishing the game.
Not sure if i play ME3 right after or go to another game.
I have so many games in my backlog that i block when i have to decide which one.

Go straight into ME3. You can never have too much ME. Unless its ME Andromeda of course ;)I've been grinding away at the last DLC trophy for Remnant 2 but I can't get the required dungeon to spawn in N'Erud. Its really frustrating as I'm getting every other one each time I reroll adventure mode and I'd been fortunate with all the other spawning when needed.
I only need to play about 5 minutes before I can see its not the right one and reroll but I've spent about an hour + trying to find this last one. On the plus side, in quickly running through the starts of these "dud" runs, I've collected nearly all the alloy crafting material I need so won't be much grinding afterwards.
I wonder how Andromeda looks on the Pro.... have a feeling there's no you tube comparisons on that one ;)

I was expecting a Black Friday sale to be up on the PS store this morning but can't see anything. A bit disappointing as I was looking forward to having a look to see if there were any bargains.

Andromeda is not as bad as everyone said.
Compared to the games that have been released for "modern audiences" lately is actually a masterpiece. haha.

You know what PS sales are like though, January sale before Xmas and that sort of thing, their timing is usually bizarre. They usually have a couple of sales going on at once but at the minute it's just really the November one, so half expected something

Yeah because there was no new sale on Wednesday I assumed that meant there was one starting today. A couple YT channels I follow also had a few pointless what to expect on black Friday videos out this week too.
If Dragon Age: Veilguard is on a decent sale I'll grab it over the holidays. Can't think of anything else I'm too interested in at the moment.I might have to re-download Andromeda just to see if I deluded myself or if it is, in fact, the great game I remember.
