Also set-up my 360 and PS3 again for any new release drought times so I can play a bit of Nostalgia. Strange going back after all of these years. I played Call of Jaurez (it was already installed on my PS3) and Max Payne 3 (already installed on my 360). Actually both pretty good fun. In terms of hardware everything is working except for the rechargeable 360 battery packs - both seem dead, so I've had to resort to AA. And one thing that struck me is how bad the PS3 controllers are. I have three of them and the sticks on all of them (at the ball) have far too much movement in them being able to pushed right down and pulled right up. I guess it's how they are but they all work.
Im guessing most folk on here have played Ghosts of Tsushima. Is it as good as they say? I noticed I could play it for 'free' via Extra but its never really grabbed me.
Wouldn't say it's anything to rant about but it's solid. I enjoyed it well enough anyway

Cheers guys. Yeah its the OTT PScentric reviews that were a bit of a worry. Plus anything remotely related to Japanese culture seem to earn extra marks for no other reason.I'll add it to the strong maybe list.

Plat for Death Stranding took me 112 hours on PS4 & 120 hours for the Directors Cut on PS5. Ghosts of Tsushima plats were 54 & 57. I'm not exactly efficient though, if the plat times on the net are to be believed
I've been very unsettled gaming wise the past few days. Seemed to have spent as much time looking for something to play as actual gaming. Currently seeing if Remnant From the Ashes reclicks, we'll see how long it is until im eyeing something else
I've not tried Death Stranding yet R. To be honest I don't think its for me but then again, there is a part of me that thinks I should try it.I'm not a huge Kojima fan so if its a Marmite game, I can't help thinking I'll enjoy it as much as Marmite itself ie not very much at all.
I've got less than 3000 kills left on Space Marine 2. I'm going to miss it when I'm done but will definitely pick up DLC if it happens.I've got Little Nightmares 2 lined up for afterwards. Not really my thing but suitable for spooky season.

I thought the same about the game before I played it. Playing as a courier didn't seem my thing at all and then I played it, gave it a few hours and I was hooked. Maybe worth a punt but I know you don't like incomplete trophy lists so understand it's a bigger risk for you.
Yeah I really should try DS and GoT considering both are well thought and wouldn't cost me any extra to play.As you say, the trophy thing comes into play for me. As soon as you unlock one, you're commited. I am trying to get away from that though as its ridiculous and not very healthy.
I am getting an urge to go back to a couple of previously played games too. Rise of the Tomb Raider and Metro 2033 Redux.
Given up on Remnant again. Don't have the patience at the minute. Got fed up after dying a couple of times in a boss fight. The boss is fine, ive beat it before, but it's those annoying suicide bombers that I'm just not in the mood for. Really no idea what I am in the mood for though
Ping! - Space Marine 2What a game. It pretty much lived up to the hype and met my expectations. Good PS360 era, Gears of War-esque fun. Will leave it installed and pick up any expansions if and when they come out.
Is that Remnant 1 Deck? That's another game I really ought to play given how much I liked the second game. Talking of which, I might start the last bit of DLC tonight rather than start something completely new.
Yeah, the first one. I do like the game, and from what I've played of the 2nd, think I prefer From the Ashes, but think I need something a bit more stress free at the minute
It's a fun wee game but £9.99 is probably the max you'd want to pay.

I think I remember why I gave up on Remnant the first time. Spend hours grinding for upgrades to your weapons/armour, only to realise that by upgrading them, you are increasing the enemy level as well. What is the point in having a stronger weapon if the enemies health pool is increased to match it? Did they really need to add that on top of the usual normal/hard/nightmare difficulty scaling? Think after I realised that, I'd lost all enthusiasm having wasted countless hours....and of course wasted quite a few more hours this time around before remembering ;) Let me be overpowered damn it ;)
Sorry couldn't resist. The first games sounds a lot harder than the second, which has hard enough.
It's probably not much different in difficulty, I just want to be lazy. Can't be arsed trying harder
I know you're waiting on the PS5 Pro but Space Marine 2 sounds like exactly what you need. Play on easy and just mindlessly blast some Tyranids to oblivion. Very little thought required on the lower to medium difficulties.
Yeah, i was enjoying Space Marine 2 but I'm questioning my sanity as it is at picking up a Pro, so will need something. Think I'm going to stick with Remnant for a while, maybe start a new game and grind out trait levels and only gear when i have to, don't think that'll increase the difficulty as much

Yeah, I'm going to have to have a look at a Pro enhanced list because I'm struggling to think of much. I think they'd mentioned Demon's Souls apart from that....

Since going back to Remnant I've stuck 12 hours into one character and a couple on a new character yesterday. And yeah, looks like a lot of the 12 hours was a bit of a waste, the new character is already further and the difficulty is about the same, despite having a much lower gear level
I started the final DLC for Remnant 2 last night. The Dark Horizon.It seems a bit meatier than the other two expansions, with a new area instead of using existing maps. Definitely a change of pace after SM2.
Tempted to give Remnant 2 another go myself to see if it's any easier than the first game. Was enjoying mindlessly grinding an area then resetting the world in the first game, but it's a bit ridiculous that my higher level character at the same stage of the game can get one-shotted, where the lower level character survives. Puts me off trying to progress completely
I only bit I really struggled with on Remnant 2 was the first proper boss and the final boss of the game. Its tough in other places but they were the main stand outs.I'm playing the DLC on Survivor (easiest difficulty) and its probably too easy if anything. I dont think I'll knock it up though as I don't want to be too challenged.
I also notice an Indie games sale got added to the PS Store fairly late on yesterday. Theres a couple of tempters there, including Jusant.
The Indie game sale can't be any worse than the Essential Picks one...I mean how is 15in1 Solitaire Essential? Did the guy who made it rack up colossal gambling debts and really needs the money?

Gave the Horizon Zero Prawn Remaster a quick go, and yeah looks the part anyway. I'll give it a play on the Pro next week to see if there's much of a difference

Edit. Just checked on my PS5. Yea I own Horizon Zero Dawn (don't know how) but not Forbidden West. So confusing as the PS App says I own both outright on PS4. Anyway Zero Dawn added to the Pro list now as I can play the expansion DLC (for £10 on the Pro as I will need to upgrade to the remastered version first).
I think even if I'm eligible for the £10 upgrade, I'll probably pass. I think they're decent enough games but I don't want to revisit them.I played more Remnant 2 yesterday and immediately regretted saying I was finding it too easy. I got pummeled by the final boss (which I seem to have got to remarkably quickly) so doing more side dungeons to level up my new Warden drone thing which at the moment boosts my shields.
I'm also back to chasing 80% completion on PSNP. I'm now on 79.99%. One more bronze trophy is all it will take.

Can't remember what game it was but there was definitely one other that the PS+ version and the normal version saves were incompatible

Are you only buying the upgrade to play the Frozen Wilds DLC? Not the main game?I wonder if the trophies can be autopopped? Probably not with this save file compatibility issue.

No the trophies don’t auto pop.
Not sure if the save files are a problem or not. Guerrilla games have said in a blog post they should work so perhaps what I read in forums is incorrect. I guess the only way to find out is to buy the upgrade.
I had a save for it in the cloud, but it was weirdly only 7 hours in, not sure why the plat save didn't upload. So at that, decided to start from scratch in the remaster. Not too bothered though, it's been long enough since I've played it that I won't mind a replay too much
Wonder if they'll regret having the remaster on the Pro Enhanced list. It looks great and runs smooth, I'm wondering how much more they can get out of it. I'm another that thought game wise it merely was OK, but it's deffo worth a tenner for the upgraded visuals imo
I remember when the complete addition of HZD became available. I loaded it up to do The Frozen Wilds DLC and got battered by the first lot of enemies I encountered. I remember having really good armour so was a bit confused as to why. I gave up on it really quickly but something think I should give it another look.
It didn't help there was a gap of several years between finishing the base game and starting the DLC with no reminder tutorial.
99% unlock rate on PSN Profiles. I feel I did a few too many plats like that over the last 12 months so have passed on that one ;) I might save it though for when I'm trying to quickly get to a milestone.
Instead, it'll be no surprise to hear I played more Space Marine 2. The sensible thing to do would be to grind out the remaining kills when they update the game with horde mode. But I need that dopamine hit now so I'm going to try and knock out the remaining 6000 aprrox kills over the next few nights.
