This weekend I had an overwhelming urge to replay COD WW2. I bought it on release in 2017 when I was still excited by COD and ended up being disappointed with it. I was comparing it with World at War so it was never really going to shine aside that masterpiece. I played the campaign on veteran difficulty this weekend and apart a couple of sections, it was fairly plain sailing. It was actually better than I remember.
I'm going to knock out a few ultra rare trophies from the campaign before moving on. Definitely won't be going after the plat with all the zombie and MP related stuff.

Afternoon all. I've really not been gaming a huge amount recently as I was away for most of last weekend and in all honesty I've been struggling to choose my next game to play. I did download - actually, correction - I think MS might have force downloaded MW3 to my console as I don't remember doing it as I never owned MW2 or 3 on Xbox. Anyway, I have played a bit of MW3 MP on my Series X over the weekend. I did decide on playing the Sam's Story DLC on Metro Exodus and I am about 2/3rds of the way through a 6-7 hour campaign. It's really decent - not played Metro Exodus in years and it's quite an old game now - but its still a really enjoyable game and looks amazing with its current gen upgrades. Once I've completed Sam's Story I'm back to not knowing what to play lol.

Yea I bought the dlc in a sale years ago. I first played the main campaign in 2019, the first dlc in 2022 and the second dlc now in 2024. Still a cracking game. I do have loads of ps plus games I’ve never played but I’ve trawled through them and they don’t appeal. Same for PS Plus extra and games pass games.

And just one trophy left in Asphalt Legends Unite, which will likely do my head in well before it pops. After that, I might make a start on a Metro Exodus replay and it's dlc
Anyone here going to buy Star Wars Outlaws on release? I’m tempted if nothing more than to have something I’m interested in to play. I could play it on Ubisoft+ on a month subscription but I might buy it instead as then at least I can take my time with it being open world. I’ve been watching game play previews and it does look like it captures Star Wars pretty well. The only thing I didn’t like was the insta-fail stealth if you raise an alarm.

Still have to work up the motivation to go back to Jedi Survivor (which I'm really in no hurry to do), so I'll definitely not be picking up Outlaws till it's cheap
I'd normally be the same - Outlaws seems a defo play but buy in a sale - but I'm struggling for a new game. Still got to wait a month saying that.
On the insta fail - it seemed that way in the preview but it also seemed on the face of it quite forgiving. Can't be sure until I play it.

It's a bit too close to Space Marine 2 in terms of release window and I'll opt for that instead. I've got a few games from the backlog I want to get to before that though so not much point in buying anything else.

And Ping! Super Woden GP 2. Fun wee game. No complaints other than I'd have happily played on if there were more trophies.

Did plat the PS4 version of Super Woden GP 2 though

Ma mates!!

As a game its terrible. All the things you'd usually judge a game on are bad. Like really bad. But it's about the story which is strong stuff to say the least and despite knowing a lot on the subject, I learned a few facts too.
It's free on the PS store.
Thanks Equinox. I'll take a look. As long as it's engaging with the story then I'll give it a go. Gives me something to play lol too.

Add coop and a second horde mode and it'd be great."
The Order 1886 was really good.
I had a blast playing.
Sad they never made a sequel to continue the story.
Finished Ni No Kuni 2 last night.
It was great to play it despite not as good as the first game.

I really enjoyed The Order. One of my few plats ;-). The insta fail, QTEs and the abrupt ending (Sony probably to blame for pulling funding maybe?) really spoiled it but other than that it was really good in open game play.

Also got to the 3rd boss in Darkest Dungeon 2 a couple of times....and got annihilated both. It's 2nd phase hits ridiculously hard, I think I know how to take on the fight, but it's still a lot easier said than done.
Hitting brick walls everywhere it seems at the minute...talking to them too ;)

Going to take a break from Darkest Dungeon 2 for a while. Unlocked all the characters and did their stories, and have unlocked all the trinkets etc so it's pretty much just trying to get to the bosses in the right condition now...which is a lot easier said than done. I'll definitely be back to it at some point.
And given up on Bleak Faith already. By the time you reach the first boss, you'll have 2 healing potions and one regen max (you can farm the healing pots but can only use a maximum of 2 in battle). I could beat the first boss comfortably with one or two more but no they've made it more difficult than necessary. Between that and farming exp not being a viable option, I don't have the patience at the minute. Do think there's a decent Souls clone in there somewhere though.
And speaking of Souls, I think another Dark Souls Remastered attempt is on the cards.

I remember the first time I beat the Taurus Demon, well OK it was gravity that beat them rather than me as they fell off the bridge. And other times in the past, I've spammed the plunging attack to beat them. But after fighting them again yesterday, they really are pretty tame, with most of the difficulty provided by the environment. The Knight in the underpass just before them as well, I used to avoid them like the plague and only attempted the fight if I was feeling very brave.
I've still managed to die a few times though, mostly in a ridiculous fashion. Fell for the drakes trap again as well. Was sure they usually more aggressive so crept closer and closer. Then, of course, next thing you know 2 pairs of claws are each side of you followed by cremation.
Still relaxing while playing a Souls is hitting the spot nicely
Hi all. Still not gaming much. I played the Light in the Darkness 😉. Yea game play wise it’s very basic but I liked the story, the characters and aesthetic. Only took a little over an hour. Also completed Metro Exodus Sam’s Story which is a very decent meaty add on campaign. Only complaint in the last couple of hours I had a few bugs - which plagued the game for several months after launch so thought it would be bug free by now. I had black screen once - I had menus and sound but otherwise no in game graphics. And then I couldn’t replace air filters - just did nothing. After a game reboot both times back to normal. Still very good dlc and took a good 6 hours. That’s Metro put to bed.
No idea what to play next. I’m tempted by Demon Souls remake if it’s easy. 🤣

I did have a go on Metro Light Last (PS3), first played circa 2014, and unlocked a couple of misc trophies but it feels quite clunky and don't have much motivation to spend much time on it.
It's an utterly meaningless stat that only I'll look at but it's become a bit of a mission now. Just 0.21% to find and then I can start Immortals of Aveum which is what I really want to do.
I might have a look at the DLC's for GoW Ragnarok and TLOU II Remaster which are free or I own.
When not obessing over pointless trophy stats, I've always been watching all the previews of Space Marine 2 that came out yesterday. It looks very good indeed.
Yea Space Marine 2 looks very good. Might get it instead of Star Wars Outlaws which I could get for my birthday instead.

I do like the look of Outlaws but I'm not completely sold on it.

I'd need to do insanity level difficulty too. The difference being on Andromeda, you actually go insane from all the bugs and chronic facial animations.

More Dark Souls Remastered. Not made huge progress. After defeating Quelaag, I couldn't decide which direction to go, so farmed some large titanite for a while. Think I've had this problem before, I've too many directions I could go and can't decide which - Demon Lands, Sen's Fortress, Darkroot, Catacombs, back to the Asylum, New Londo Ruins, Valley of the Drakes, Glassmoon's Folly, R's Lament, Transgression of Equinox (dont think those last few made it into the final version for some reason ;) ). Probably other places as well
