I've made decent progress on Hot Wheels 2 and got more into it. I'm onto the 5th and final area of the main campaign and got the win a race hard difficulty trophy (which presents a genuine challenge) done yesterday. Should finish this over the weekend, if not before.

Which console are you playing it on?

More Hot Wheels for me last night. 75% done of the 5th area done so hopefully can more or less finish it over the next few days.
I'm remember getting the total drift distance trophy on the PS5 version was quite a grind. The PS4 trophy list doesn't track progress either so will be a little worse this time round.

...queue major Bethesda glitch/bug ;)

I've done most things on Hot Wheels 2 now but the 100 podium finishes isn't unlocking when it should. My stats show I've done 120 races now and I've won nearly all of those, even half the online races I did.
The other stats menu for each class of car though suggests I've only got 91 podiums across the five classes. Hopefully that will unlock tonight by hammering the shortest race another 9 times. Don't remember it being a problem on the PS5 version.

Morning all
My football team (Sporting Lisbon) won the league last night!!
So i expect you sharks to come and take away our best players and probably our coach. :P
Gamingwise i took a chance on Dead Space Remake and so far i have mixed feelings.
Visually it looks stunning for sure. The sound design is top notch but what i played so far is the same game i played many times before. I also find the game too dark for my taste. I get it adds to the immersion and using the flashlight is mandatory but it also makes the layout a bit confusing cause i cant see shite.
I dont know...i´ll keep playing as probably im yet to encounter the good changes of the remake.
I´m also been replaying Dead Island on the X and i say this again. Its a hell of a game. Been having a blast.

haha. Dont get me wrong. I love Dead Space but ive played it 4 times before and i couldnt shake the feeling that i was doing the same thing.
But im very early on though. Im still fixing the tram so a lot is about to happen.

This is the same team that over turned a 4-0 defeat in the first leg of last seasons play offs.
They push their fans to the limit but keep coming back from the dead.

Jesus.
Im glad i havent updated F4 yet as i was afraid it would break all the mods i have currently installed (Series X).
Seems like its currently a mess.
Its not a new game. How hard could it be to properly test the update BEFORE releasing it?
I think Bethesda lost it along the way.

Last trophy is for drifting 500,000 cms and having done everything else, I'm currently at 403,000 meaning I'm going to have to approx 60 odd more races.
This was a grind on the PS5 version but seems worse this time round for some reason.

Might read up on it, see if there's a good track to use.

Played a little of Cyube VR. It's not far off Minecraft in VR (not that I've played Minecraft enough to judge). Tutorials could be a bit better explained and occasionally a bit fiddly, but pretty addictive. I'll mess about in it till I decide what's next.
Thinking maybe giving Doom Eternal another chance. Had a blast in the reboot when it was out, but just couldn't get into Eternal, felt a bit too much of the same....which is a bit of a daft thing to say about Doom ;)

I'll have to go back to Survivor at some point but it was definitely a criticism I had of Jedi Fallen Over. You just don't get rewarded for exploring

Yep it only gets more intense. I guess it's the way Doom is supposed to be but the game is unrelenting. I vowed after Eternal not to play another Doom :-).

The only thing I really cared about in the first game was changing the color of my light saber. You can do that right from the start here, so there's very little drawing me to explore. There are dozens of boxes just in the linear path anyway. Story is entertaining though. Plus Cal Kestis can now grow facial hair; he's wearing a Rambo headband and sporting a a thick cowboy mustache for me.

Morning all.
Jedi Survivor dropped on Gamepass not long ago but i dont feel very excited to play it despite having really enjoyed Fallen Order.
Im just not feeling in the mood for punishing games at this point.
That´s why i stopped playing Elden Ring some time ago. :(
Anyway, i´ve been finding out that AA games are the one´s that really give me a good time. I´ve been playing Elex 2 (58 hrs into) and im loving how the game treats the player. Despite its numerous flaws (just like Elex 1) it also treats the player in a mature way when it comes to its rpg mechanics and im realizing that i apreciate this more then whatever graphics and shallow gameplay AAA games deliver these days.
I just get so immersed that i lose track of the times when im playing,
If anyone here likes the first Elex please try the sequel too.

Jedi Survivor is not even remotely punishing - it depends on difficulty setting but even I found it easy on the easy settings :-). And better than the first game.

Really?
I thought it would be harder then the first one.
That makes me happy. :)
I still have nightmares with that fight on some top of a tree in the first game...

Knock the difficulty down and it'll be a breeze. I can't play frustrating games anymore :-). There are a couple of parkour sections that might take a few attempts but combat is mostly pretty straightfoward on easy.

Yeah, I´ll do that.
I cant take very hard games too these days.
I was loving Elden Ring at some point but the feeling of going back to it every night was stressing me out.
Dont even know how i handled the final boss fights in Resi 3 Remake so well...

Ping! - Hot Wheels Unleashed 2
Found a quick way to grind the last drift trophy out.

Honestly I do like the look of the From Software games but unfortunately I know due to difficulty they are not for me. They look really good though. I recently played a long frustrating Codex (single player mission) on Warframe so I could unlock some stuff for the multiplayer (to use with mates) and although it was well done the frustration ruined it for me.

Also played a wee bit more of Lords of the Fallen and think it might keep me going for a bit, with some interestingly sounding modifiers. Though it does have me wanting to go back to the original a little

That said, Elden Ring is the only proper From game I've managed to finish (though I do seem to do OK with other soulslikes). Could more than likely manage Dark Souls 1-3, Bloodborne & Demon Souls with a bit of patience/determination but Sekiro and Armored Core (to a slightly lesser extent) are well beyond me. Elden Ring was probably the most relaxing of the lot

Probably the key word for me is patience.
Its something im lacking these days and puts me off when i know that i need to find the pattern to kill some boss or to advance a certain section.

Yeah, it's better. I've stumbled across a few obtuse sections where I just didn't know what to do/where to go, but far less that Fallen Order. I agree. That was the worst part of that game for sure. Survivor I found relatively easy to just play along the main campaign path without much frustration. There are five difficulty settings and the default is right in the middle. Dropping one notch would make combat trivial, methinks. I've died once to the second boss (before I figured out block/parry) and once falling down a hole too many times because I couldn't figure out the parkour path.

I dabbled with one of the Dark Souls games, (i think it was Dark Souls 2) and it just was not for me. I got as far as undead berg - so hardly much into the game at all, and it wasn't the actual difficulty of the game that put me off because that wasn't too bad, and the combat was great, graphics, atmosphere, all good.
It's the lack of checkpoints, and the loss of all resources when you die (which I know you can get back if you make it back to where you died previously)...but yeah, it was just the punishing systems in the game which totally put me off.
And I know those systems are basically the whole idea so I must be the type of gamer who likes regular checkpoints and auto-reloading to just before where you died, as if nothing happened and just have another go with no consequences no matter how many times you die.
