Completed Terminator Resistance. Really enjoyed it. Great world design, maps, terminator nostalgia, gun play and with some really good linear sections with massive scale in parts. 8/10 on the r-score-o-meter. I can’t believe IGN gave it a 4/10. And I really enjoyed Infiltrator Mode playing as a terminator. And I got the platinum trophy ;~).
Now I’m struggling for my next game. I have a kinda nothing really grabbing me back log. So it’s one of Callisto Protocol, Dead Space remake or Immortals of Aveum. I played Dead Space back in the day. Anyone have any thoughts good or bad on the other two? Is Immortals rock hard?

Immortal - I was playing it on easy, and wouldn't say it was difficult. The enemies take a wee bit much off your life bar per hit but I hadn't died much, very close on occasions but nothing frustrating. There was one level I wasn't fond of, managed it fine but lost a bit of enthusiasm after that. I do plan on returning at some point so it can't be that bad. The start is a bit slow but once you get going there's worse out there.
The Dead Space remake is defo worth a play, absolutely no complaints from me on that one

Thanks Deckard. Yea Dead Space is very tempting as I really enjoyed it back in the day but I was thinking of playing something I haven’t played before but from what you say perhaps I should play Dead Space.
Yea Terminator and Robocop are both excellent games and I really enjoyed both and both are better than most. Kinda old school but no bad thing for me.
Seeing as I have games pass and ps plus extra nothing has come on either service in months I really want to play. The basic ps plus has been better than either.

I decided to stick with this over the weekend and glad I did. Hit another difficult bit on Sat night that I just couldn't see me getting past, only to do it first try with ease this morning. I mopped up trophies for 100% locations, finding all secrets etc and then needed two attempts on the final boss.
Was great to see this plat ping after seven years and two weeks. I do like trophies (as you may have noticed) but nothing beats going back to an old, previously abandoned game and cleaning it up. It always bugged me sitting at 25%. I'm not really sure why I gave up on it all those years ago as its a good game.
On #238 now and one step closer to #250

I've been watching quite a few YT vids about how and why AA gaming is doing so well atm. RoboCop and Terminator are always brought up as good examples.
There have been some absolute crackers of late that have destroyed some recent AAA offerings. Remnant 2, Helldivers 2 and Outriders have been some of my favourite games over the last 12+ months and all AA.
Hopefully the AA scene carries on like this as its the place for single games these days.
Yea completey agree Equinox - not everything has to be AAA especially now they take so long to develop. Remember when we would get a AAA trilogy in one console generation. Now we're lucky to get one AAA game for the big hitters in one console generation. And the thing is Robocop and Terminator and are really good games but might not have that AAA graphical polish - but to me they still look good, but more importantly are fun.
Over the coming months I think there are only two games I'm interested in. Still Wakes the Deep (AA) and Starwars Outlaws (AAA). I cannot think of anything else I'm itching to play.

Only other game I'm hyped for is Space Marine 2. Not sure who makes that and if that is AA
Yea Space Marine 2 for me as well but no idea when it comes out since they delayed it. I might play Outlaws on Ubisoft plus on Xbox as they put all new games on there and only for a £17.99 month subscription - see if I can complete it in a month.

Great game. A real adventure. 9/10

I'm really looking forward to Space Marine II. It's slated for 9th Sept.

Finished the campaign then booted up a ng+, installed a mega board into the auto-9 which enabled both full-auto and no reloading as well as a huge damage boost, basically maxed out all the skill trees and just powered through about half the game again in just a couple of hours to sweep up the last couple of trophies I had missing from my first (proper) playthrough.
Brilliant little game. A few performance hiccups here and there but still fantastic fun and for my money the best FPS gunplay since Killzone 3.
Now back to HorizonFW to finish off Burning Shores.

Have you played Terminator Resistance from the same developer as RoboCop? Both games are good but I'd have to say my favourite of the two is Terminator.

I have done almost the exact same - reinstalled off the disc and bought the season pass on sale - but it's nothing to do with the show, (will watch it at some point but haven't got round to it yet) it's because of the current gen upgrade being released tomorrow.
It's still not clear to me whether the upgrade will just be a patch to make it look and run like current gen game (e.g. like Day's Gone or God of War 2018) or a full conversion to a free-of-charge native current gen version (e.g. Resident Evil 2 and 3 etc). And if it's the latter then what occurs with the dlc? Will it be a free goty edition? Will find out tomorrow i guess.

I'm not sure what the upgrade will be. Probably the first of those two options you mentioned is my guess.

Finally got round to completing the best trilogy in gaming.
I actually feel I deserve the plat after that walking section.

Started as the character with a bucket for a weapon, I can't seem to resist picking the most underequipped character in souls types for some reason

To me it looks like a patch for the PS4 game but it detects if you're playing on PS5 or Xbox Series and you get the performance upgrades and options.
Tbh I'm still as unsure as I was before reading the article.

I've not started anything new yet but I did start a lengthy solo mission in Warframe - as I play with mates and they want me to unlock related content for the PvE part of warframe from this mission. I'm really not enjoying it as it can be really frustrating.
I did consider the Fallout 4 DLC too but only if I can transfer my save file. And I looked at RE4 remake as it's on sale on the PS Store but after a bit of research even on lower difficulties it's still a really challenging game so that's put me off.

As I couldn't play Fallout 4, I started the PS4 version of Hot Wheels Unleashed 2. Not really in the mood for it but will be OK completing a handful of races every night over the next week or so.

How´s everyone doing?
Everyone´s been playing F4 i see. lol.
Im loving the show but i honestly havent felt the itch to replay any of the Fallout games. Probably cause im currently playing Elex 2 (really enjoying it) so the itch is kinda scratched.
Plus, im afraid the new update screws all the mods i have instaled so i havent even updated the game yet.
I also finished RE 3 Remake and i honestly dont think is as bad as everyone said.
Its a very solid Resi game. Maybe not as good as RE2 Remake but pretty good imo.
I finished with 10 hrs so its double the time i was expecting based on the initial reviews.
I do have a HUGE itch to play Far Cry 6 or Avatar Frontiers of Pandora...I´ll probably start FC 6.

Awesome mate.
How good is it?
I really enjoyed the first one.

It's more Dragon's Dogma. If you liked the first one, you will like this as well. It's really just a more refined take on the whole basic premise from the first. I'm really hoping for a DLC similar to the original Dark Arisen version with Bitterblack Isle.
Cool.
I´ll get it eventually.
Have you watched the Dragon´s Dogma show on Netflix?
I found it surprisingly good.

I really enjoyed Resi 3 when I played all the remakes / modern (from Resi 7 onwards) games last year...although it was the 'worst' of the Resi games I ploughed through...but that's only because Resi 7, 8, 2remake and 4remake are all awesome, and 3remake is just really good lol.
I did think that 3 was the best of them all graphically though, and yeah, a really fun blast. Took me about 8 or 9 hours I think. Great 'little' game.

I will be getting Terminator Resistance Enhanced in the near future!!

I still havent played Resi 4 Remake but i have it in my backlog.
I feel the same way as the Dead Space Remake. I know they´re probably as good as everyone says but i´ve played both Resi 4 and Dead Space so many times (i think 4 times each) that im reluctant to play the remakes. I mean, how diferent can they actually be? Will i get bored halfway through because i know the stories so well?

haha.
I hated it until the moment i stopped thinking i was playing a Resi game and changed the chip to a simple action game. Thats when i started having fun.
I remember loving Chris´s campaing cause it was a hell of a third person shooter.

Dead Space remake is one of the absolute best games I have played on ps5 - better than any of the modern Resi games (Resi 2remake being extremely close). I have played it multiple times and got the plat - and I'm a Dead Space veteran, played the original multiple times on ps3, got the plat back in July 2010 (almost 14 years ago! my first ever plat!) and have played the 360 version on my X1S.
For what it's worth, it's the same basic story as the original, but there are subtle changes and lots of gameplay tweaks to bring it up to current standards. Any Horror/action/sci-fi single player gaming fan owes it to themselves to play Dead Space remake, whether you're familiar with the original or not, honestly, knowing the original inside-out doesn't detract at all from the remake.
However, the best horror game I have ever played is still Alien Isolation.
