Welcome Dennis. I don’t think anyone here plays Apex. Call of duty 3 that’s an old game. I actually liked it back in the day but we’re talking 15 years ago. I don’t suppose the multiplayer severs are still live.
Hey guys, I’m trying to encourage the few remaining active Shelf Rot members to come over here and post rather than posting over there anymore. There’s really only a few members left but I figured getting everyone in one place can only make things better in the long run. I’m not sure if they will yet, but maybe…Hope that’s alright with everyone here.
Don't see any problem from this side Sega-sama, the ones left here seem to be able with my daily Elden Ring updates, complaints about ME Andromeda not being the game it should have been etc. Think the troublemakers have been expunged and the dregs have rallied...almost literally, Equinox and myself make up half the forum, lots of rally experience there....
Driving that is, what else Equinox gets up to is none of my business;)

Hi all. I was invited from the Shelf Rot forum. I actually used to belong to this original forum, but thought I'd been kicked out for being a lurker, I never imagined the whole forum had been kicked out. Right now, I'm floating between Tin Hearts, Avatar, Starfield, Star Ocean Second, and Robocop plus taking a break from Act III of Baldur's Gate. I'm glad to be back.

Yep, we are as resilient as cockroaches with as many legs and only a third as creepy ;)I liked what they did with Star Ocean The Second Story, the combat became a bit of a chore towards the end for me these days, but they kept it true to the original
I think I've changed my mind on making the PS4 version of Elden Ring plat number 250. I lose all motivation to replay games once all the trophies are in the bag, and it's pretty much been my go-to game when nothing is taking my fancy since it was released. So I think I'd probably regret it. Still a fair bit to go in the current playthough and I'll play it as though I'm attempting the plat, but at the moment, I think I'll have a separate playthrough for each of the endings needed for the trophies. It's not one I'm likely to get tired of, I reckon it'll be a contender for my most played game of 2024 to add to 22 and 23.
And turns out my Tesco grocery yearly wrap-up wasn't as interesting as the PlayStation and Spotify ones...strange that ;)
Hi all, old and new.I've got that thing where I just can't be bothered to start anything new. Even Requiem which I've been looking forward to starting ever since finishing Innocence. Doesn't help that I feel shattered all the time but maybe a little break can be a good thing.
Take your time with your 250th plat Deck. I need some time to catch up ;)

I wish I could say it was premature aging but I think I'm just actually old now.
Age is just a number...an ever increasing one that causes the creaking you are convinced you hear to becomes audible. I've enough energy to game but apart from that definitely feel I'm running on empty more often than not. Glad I avoided the whole parenthood thing...think my hypothetical kids probably agree ;)Makes the Subterranean Shunning Groungs look appealing ;)

Pinged Horizon FW on Friday as hoped :) polished off the Kappa cauldron back on standard difficulty and it was great fun! Fantastic game, and as brilliant as I thought Zero Dawn was, FW was even better.The only thing I found a bit cheap was how a lot of the enemies (I read this online and agree with the statement) 'bumrush' you and knock you down all the time - the Tideripper especially was awful for this, it's massive and just bellyflops on top of you and rolls around and you can't get off the floor for ages lol. But the world, the story, the acting, the animation, outfits, skilltrees, weapons, Aloy...all fantastic!!
Bit of a break now before Burning Shores. Something shorter!! Maybe AC Mirage? Or something more linear - recently bought Dishonoured 2 off the store, may give that a go?
Getting towards the end of Elden Ring again relatively speaking. Still quite a few hours left, but basically just the haligtree then on to the end

I did download Alan Wake 2 - my next game - but in the end I wasn't in the mood for any more gaming over the weekend.
Managed the Haligtree pretty well (for me, at least). The only fight that caused me a real headache was the help Millicent one for the unalloyed needle. First time they all attack her, and it's over in seconds. Next attempt, they all target me and don't fare much better. Then back to targeting her....didn't have any problems on PS5. Managed it eventually and the Malenia fight was a lot more straightforward this time around, and nowhere near as frustrating as I'd feared.I reckon I'll just go ahead and plat it this playthrough. I've pretty much everything in place, just a matter of uploading the save at the right point for all the endings
Seems I was a bit daft with the PS5 version of Elden Ring. I'd uploaded the save near the end of Farum Azula and played though to the end a few times to get the plat. When all I needed to do was upload it after the final boss to save myself the stress....which I've just done for the PS4 version. Ping number 250 - Elden Ring (PS4).Wasn't expecting the plat so quick, so now I've no clue what's next.
Congrats Deck - I'll probably never get that one once, much less twice. I've played Souls games more than anything else over the past decade and still have never had 100% on any of them.
Cheers. It wasn't one I was expecting to plat when I first played. Especially when the only other From game I'd managed to finish was their VR game Deracine. Might revisit some next since I'm still in a souls mood
Congrats Deck. 250 is one hell of a milestone and a good game to reach it with.
As suspected, after finishing Elden Ring without a plan on what came after, I've not been able to settle on one game and have been jumping between half a dozen. Think I might stick with Bloodborne, but it'll take a while to get back used to the controls. Found myself trying to block on way too many occasions
Latest urge is replaying Titanfall 2....

Yeah tried to get the becomes the master trophy in Titanfall 2 earlier...failed miserably but have to say it runs great on PS5. I think it'll be a good palate cleanser
The Becomes The Master trophy in Titanfall 2 just doesn't seem possible. Tried it about 20 times, watched videos, read tips, but no...Best I could manage was 39 seconds, I don't see me making up the remaining 6 seconds. Might keep trying on and off but will need regular breaks as it's making my hands sore from gripping the controller too tight
That's better than I've managed Deck. I've only ever tried one proper session of trying to get it but after getting better and better times for the first 10 attempts, it quickly becomes a case of diminishing returns.About to start The Crew Motorfest.
Yeah, I've come to the conclusion it's not going to happen. I can just about scrape the time needed by the skin of my teeth if I ignore all the targets, so having to kill all 15 looks well beyond me. Managed to get the time down to 38.2 but think that's as good as it'll get

For the first 2/3 of Alan Wake 2 it was on course to be my favourite Remedy game. My enthusiasm dulled a little towards the end for a few minor reasons, but overall definitely enjoyed it
I'll eventually get to AW2 as it sounds interesting, but haven't played AW1 yet, nor finished Control. By the time I get to it, it will be at a good discount.

Yea I can't say I enjoyed the first and only boss fight encounter. It was OK but sometimes I just hated him disappearing and reappearing as I often couldn't see him.

That's definitely something I thought during Alan Wake 2 - love Remedy but they can be pretty terrible at boss fights.
For some reason, I've gone back to Torchlight 2. Enjoying replaying it mostly. It'll keep me going until Bulletstorm VR later in the week at least

I myself just finished a game that i never thought i would be willign to play...Redfall.
Truth be said, although its not a masterpiece or even a great game its actually pretty fun in the state it is now.
Its basically a looter shooter in the style of Borderlands in a much smaller map and tone that it doenst get either very dark or very light.
It started to get really addictive after a couple of hours and i actually glad to have given it a chance.
It took me 43 hrs to finish it and i had nearly zero bugs which is a massive improvment from the state it was launched.
its a 7/10 game for sure.
Deck...this is our Andromeda for 2024. :P
If you asked a lot of gamers what their most memorable games were of the PS360 era, you'd expect the Mass Effect series to feature in more than a few. Andromeda though, its only remembered on here as the butt of a joke, and that says it all. Not really heard or seen much of Redfall, since I've given up on my xbox I've not really paid any attention to their exclusives

I gave up on Redfall on the Benny bill boss fight in a circular room. It was a good few hours into the game. Perhaps the worst boss fight I’ve ever experienced.

Hello all - If I can beat the final boss of Remnant 2 I'll put that one away. It's time to move on although I could easily re-reroll a few more worlds to see what happens. I've learned that the events on each world can change dramatically. So, each world, and each time it is played is basically it's own self-contained adventure. Truly great stuff.Slow progress with Nier: Replicant. It's great but I have to take breaks on account of the overall weirdness.
Tried out Path of Exile...that game is not even playable. It constantly stutters and pauses, even on Series X. It only took a handful of deaths due to freezing during combat for me to uninstall.

Oh yeah. That´s the first major boss.
That was a bit annoying but there´s this boss called Bloody Tom later on that made me literally threw away my controller as i was dying over and over and had to check a video and still died over and over. Really poor design on both of them.
The other 2 bosses in the game were actually well designed (but nothing special) and very doable.

Some of the combos in the melee pits were awful to try and get right. And I have no idea what I did differently on the occassions I did them right compared to the dozens of times I failed at them? And in the actual game fighting machines etc I never use any of them - just always hold R2 for a charged heavy hit, then fire bow to detonate the glowing blue circle or score a critical hit with R1 if the opponent has been knocked down.
