DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments As I suspected, one trophy left in CyberTD, made quite a few attempts at it, but can't seem to get it over the line. I'll try a few more runs but think I'll be moving on sooner rather than later.

message 3352: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments I hope you can get it Deck. Its a bit of a sickener when a single trophies blocks the path to a plat.

I've now got one eye on the trophies for Remnant 2. Most look doable but a few look like a ridiculous grind (although may be made easier with playing future DLC) and a couple I don't understand the requirements for despite reading up on them.

I played a great Indiana Jones style dungeon last night. Spikes coming out of the wall to dodge, puzzles to solve involving markings and stones and walking across an invisible path like in The Last Crusade. Bagged some sweet loot at the end of it too.

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments Resi 4's VR mode is out tomorrow, so if the last CyberTD trophy doesn't pop tonight, I'll leave it for a bit and try again in the future.

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments Despite having too much to be getting on with as it is...I may have just hated Warhammer 40000 Rogue Trader & Have a Nice Death

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments Damn autocorrect...hawed not hated ;)

message 3356: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments I switched my Remnant 2 playthrough back to the campaign last night and tackled the final boss again. Whilst it was still tough, levelling up in adventure mode definitely paid off as I was able to take and do more damage and defeat it.

I've still got quite a lot to do to even consider getting the plat, including re-rolling the third world and doing the other half of the story there. A lot of misc trophies are side the story areas I didn't see there first time around.

message 3357: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments Can anyone explain what Rogue Like means? I here the term a lot but never know what it means.

The new, free GoW Ragnarok DLC is a 'Rogue Like' experience apparently.

R(ob) (r_uk) | 886 comments Mod
Yea don't know. I googled it and I got back: dungeons, procedurally generated and perma death.

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments Doubt this is the official meaning but roguelike tends to mean you will fail but get something to make you stronger next time you try.

And the difference between roguelike and roguelite is slimfast or eating a subway every day...probably ;)

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments Ping! CyberTD (PS5). Don't know how, don't know when (think it must have been when I left it running on endless mode while I grabbed a cup of coffee) but pretty satisfied with that one. Will probably attempt the PS4 version sooner rather than later

message 3361: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments Cheers guys I think I understand now.

Nice one Deck. I'm pretty sure that's an ultra rare plat on PSN Profiles.

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments Not happy....went to install the vr mode for Resi 4 but it says can't install....thought I'd try reinstalling the whole game....won't let me do even that now. I can download other games no problem, even the ps4 version of RE4 but not the PS5 version. I'll try again later

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments Managed to get Resi 4 and the VR mode installed on Saturday morning. Only played a wee bit so far, but it's 3 thumbs up from me. Makes a huge difference.

Not got stuck into it properly yet as I want to polish off a few other games first. Saw there was a free PS5 upgrade for Lord of the Click: Interstellar Wars, so platted that pretty quickly. Making good progress in Cyber TD (PS4) and would expect to have it done in the next day or two. And after that, want to finish off Dredge before making a start on RE4 VR

message 3364: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments I played even more Remnant 2 this weekend. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a game enough to put this much time into it.

Managed to knock out a few ambiguous looking trophies, although there are still 2 or 3 that could be plat busters.

I've started a re-roll of the third main world and looking forward to cracking on with that as there are quite a few differences in this play through compared to my first for this world. It apparently has one of the toughest bosses so hope I can get past that.

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments I'll have to get back to Remnant 2 myself at some point. Kind of glad Bulletstorm VR has been delayed because my to-do list is getting scary.

message 3366: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments I've deleted a few games off my to do list as I'm just getting no where with it. I am now wondering if I'll live to regret binning off Sponge Bob Square Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom in years to come though.

Morning all. I didn't game at the weekend as I was away. I did manage to play some MW3 MP which I have a love hate relationship with - I like the maps, I have some OK games, very rarely some good games and a lot of bad games being slaughtered. Still I punish myself but one thing I've adapted to a lot better than in the past is sniping - I could barely get a kill sniping in previous CODs but I'm actually doing OK now I've persevered.

Anyway. I just thought I'd say I really like the look of the new Avatar game. It gets good but not stellar reviews but boy it looks right up my street. I'm very tempted to get this at christmas with my PSN vouchers instead of AW2.

message 3368: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments Yeah that Avatar game does look good. I'm not desperate to play it but I definitely want to get it at some point next year.

message 3369: by Error (new)

Error | 408 comments More Remnant II for me as well. I'm really having a great time, but wow, what a hands off kind of game. They just kind of plop you down in the world and say good luck. I spent a decent amount of time lost in "The Labyrinth", which is basically a hub world for the other major game worlds.

Equinox - Did you struggle at all figuring out how to get through the Labyrinth?

message 3370: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments Hi Error, yes I did. I kept seemingly going round in a bit of a circle for a while. From what I remember you open a massive portal and you can see the destinations changing behind it. You have to jump through during one (of about four or five) destinations. It's a bit of trial and error, although that sums up the entire game in a way.

I've been having a blast with Remnant 2 as well but I encountered a bugged trophy tonight and its completely taken the wind out of my sails. The trophy guide I've semi had my eye on says there are no glitched trophies which is false. They said playing in coop can be dodgy but I've only played solo.

The trophy that's caused the issue is Maxed Out (aquire the max number of trait points, which is 60). Hopefully you have better luck with the achievement on Xbox Error.

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments I see PS are a bit early again with their yearly wrap up stats. As I suspected, Elden Ring was my most played game again this year, just a mere 295 hours. Still plenty of hours left in 2023 to build on the plat count though ;)

message 3372: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments Yeah I thought it was a bit early. My most played game was Horizon Forbidden West. I can't remember how many hours for that particular game but my overall total hours were 497.

Hi Everyone

Finished two games in the last couple of weeks.
Deliver Us the Moon and Deliver Us Mars.
They´re both adventure/enviromental puzzle solving games that i really enjoyed playing. 2 is a direct sequel to 1 and the story is pretty good and thrilling.
It doenst have action or shooting but i was 100% ok with it.
Great visuals, great story and good gameplay.
I give 8 to Moon and 7,5 to Mars.

So, is it time to start our finished games list for 2023?

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments According to my PS stats, I've played 261 different games this year, don't think I'll be able to remember them all to list them ;)

haha. But how many have you actually finish?

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments Well 3200+ hours and over 2000 trophies, so probably one or two ;)

message 3377: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments 3200+ hours??? That's over 133 entire 24 hour days.

Btw, because of the whole The day Before debacle i watched quite a few reviews bashing the game and for some reason started getting interested in that type of game.
I mean, exploring a city, finding lood, killing enemies and stuff like that.
Suddenly i realized i had a huge itch for...The division. Watched a few videos and went for it bit couldnt find a decent sale for the first game.
I did find Division 2 for 8 bucks on the X and hawed it.
I created my account and explored the initial map for a bit although the game doenst let me free roam as im on the first mission.
Im going to properly start it tonight as i have a feeling im going to enjoy it despite never have had a slight of interest in the past.

Anyone here plays or played it?
Any tips for a noob?

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments On one hand, 3200 looks excessive, but on the other, it's less than 10 hours a day, which, believe it or not, sounds about right

message 3380: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments It's 8.75 hours per day. When are you eating and sleeping haha

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments Fair enough it's likely some of the hours will just be with the PS running and not all gaming. All those cups of coffee probably cut the time played a fair bit ;)

message 3382: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments Good news everyone, my trophy may not have glitched after all. Apparently the requirement for unlocking it may have changed. It was originally acquire 60 trait points but with DLC (even if you don't own it), you now need to acquire 85 instead.

Thought I'd let you know in case anyone was worried ;)

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments Twas keeping me awake at night ;)

Not unlike the CyberTD trophy that was causing me headaches. Thought I'd get through the PS4 version pretty quickly and was....but that one trophy has me scratching my head all over again.

That´s a good juicy list mate.

How´s Forbiden West?
Been trying to find a good sale for it but so far no luck.

message 3388: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments It's really good mate. Better than Zero Dawn. Don't you have PS+ Extra? It's available on there?

Sadly i dont.
I have Gamepass and i really dont need another subscription that does the same but worst.

I´ll keep waiting.
I dont mind actually cause by the time i manage to shrink my backlog a bit ther will be a bunch of games that will end up on sale.
Stuff like Forbiden West, RE4 Remake, the latest FF, Ghost of Tsushima, Hogwards Legacy, the new Avatar, etc.

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments Probably easier to just list the plats..I mean a games not finished until it pings right? ;)
There may be a few with x2 by the side where I've platted both PS4 & 5 versions.

Lord of the Click:Interstellar Wars x2
CyberTD
Persona 5 Tactica
Spider-man Remaster
Spider-man 2
EA WRC
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 x2
River Pirates
Hyper 5 x2

Persona 5 Royal
Borderlands 3 x2
The Smile Alchemist x2
Gran Turismo 7 x2

37 plats so far this year and a maybe a couple more on the verge

Equinox80 | 666 comments Alright show off ;)

message 3392: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments I actually got 29 plats which is more than I thought. Although a few of those were grubby.

I've noticed if you go back into the Wrap Up, it refreshes and updates your stats so may be worth a look on the 31st.

Hi all. Got my wrap-ups too.

362 hours on PS5. 2 plats ;-)

108 hours on Series X. 2366 gamerscore.

PS5 Games completed:
Assassins Creed Mirage
Call of Duty MW2
Death Stranding (I honestly think this is one of my favourite games of all time)
Ratchet and Clank:Rift Apart
Star Wars Jedi Survivor
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Horizon Forbidden West
The Last of Us Part 1

PS5 games in progress, or binned off:
Warframe (I'll never finish this, it's never ending)
Sackboy (taking my time)
Humanity (binned off)
Wreckfest (binned off)
PGA Tour 2K23 (binned off)

Series X completed games:
Starfield
Planet of Lana
Forza Motorsport
Warhammer 40000 Darktide
Redfall (binned it off)
High on Life
Atomic Heart

What I want to know is how on earth does Deckard find the time for 3200+ hours of gaming lol. That's like a full time job.

Some observations from my side:

I don't game as much as I used to but it would still be under 1000 hours even at my peak.

PS5 is now clearly my favoured platform. I think this is because I buy third party games on PS5 (HDR is much superior on PS5).

I've been catching up on PS5 exclusives through PS+ Extra.

I never buy third party games on Xbox now, only those that come on Games Pass. In fact I haven't bought a game on my series X this year. All games pass. And I expect this will be my future gaming on XBox.

DeckardCain's Sandals (deckardcainssandals) | 2105 comments Gave the Tekken 8 demo a go and enjoyed it. If it was £20 cheaper, I'd be tempted, but these days, I'd not spend long enough on it for it to be spending £65 on it. Same with the recent Mortal Kombat - I'll definitely give it a go...just not at the current price.

Temporarily given up on the PS4 CyberTD plat, the last trophy just doesn't want to pop at the minute. Dredge is looking pretty platable though, just a couple of trophies left and it's been a nice change of pace

message 3397: by Equinox80 (new)

Equinox80 | 666 comments Dredge is another on my radar but also on the wait for PS+ list.

I tried playing Remnant 2 in coop with random last night. It adds a lot to the game and after a few attempts, found someone good to play with. I tried to add them as a friend afterwards but they must have been on Xbox through cross play as I couldn't find them on PSN.

I was going to buy the Avatar game for £50 in PSN vouchers and £20 of my own. Then I discovered Ubisoft+ is on XBox for £15 a month and can be canceled at any time - and includes new releases. Kinda makes sense play it on Xbox for £15 saving me £55 - I'll easily complete it in a month.
