What have you been playing: before the forum was deleted?

This heat hasn't made me happy at all - don't even feel like gaming cos I just feel too worn out all the time. I've left Halo Infinite for a while after trying to defeat the first two Spartan Assassins. I always get one quite easily, but the second one on the hoverbike keeps killing me and I have to start all over again!! Hope this isn't a gamebreaker for me, but I have a new strategy to try at the weekend (thank you YouTube) so fingers crossed.
Thankfully the heat has died down a little, but I hear we've got more on the way in August. Ugh!

Hi AG.
Yeah, the heat has been terrible here too.
Lots of fires all around. Its really bad.
I got covid in the middle of a heat wave and it was terrible.
I never knew if i was with fever or it was just the heat affecting me.

I had thought I'd give God of War one last chance but no, deleted before it had even finished installing. Even the thought of playing it is a chore. Ragnarok is a definite no for me now, I'll wait for it to be on PS+
Now getting dat itch to play Uncharted 2 Remaster. It looks like you only need to speed run 3 chapters.

Is that tovarus and hyperius? Yea they were tough. Can’t remember how I beat them but it took me several attempts. Think one of them I luckily cheesed as he was stuck in a room on a platform, he couldn’t hit me, and I kept on shooting him in the room as he couldn’t escape as I was constantly shooting him. More luck than by design. Other than this boss fight there was two others that were tough, one being the final boss but think that was the easiest of the three that I would classify as a little tough. All other boss fights I had no issue with. All doable on normal difficulties, especially if I can eventually do them albeit after a few deaths.

I don't play video games too often-
I'm more so a 3DS and Horror Game junkie lol

Also played quite a bit of Danganronpa S, which I quite like. Has me considering replaying the other games
Morning all. Not played much of interest over the weekend. Played a bit of COD and BF2042 multiplayer. I thought i'd try something a bit out of my normal gaming taste and played Matchpoint lol. Let's just say I am really bad at this game. Even on the lowest difficulty setting I'm being mauled and then I tried one online game and managed to win one point the entire match. So that's the end of that. No wonder I gave up on FIFA about 15 years ago. FPS I'm fine with, anything sport related - in a video game at least - I'm terrible. Although years ago I did enjoy a bit of Tiger Woods - maybe I liked it because I could take my time.
Hi everyone
Reached the 75 hr mark on Dying Light 2.
I have 4 main missions left and i will do whatever its in my power to stick with them so that i can finish the game already.
I shamefully rehawed GTAV for the X...

Played a wee bit more of The Witch Queen as well, and it's growing on me a little. Still not sure about some of the changes Bungie have made but still a mostly solid shooter.
Think I'm going to have to find something meaty to play alongside as I don't seem to be able to concentrate on them for long.

Tried another 'not my usual game' game. It's called Unpacking. I heard good things about it, looked crap to me, but thought I'd give it a go. Basically have to unpack boxes into your new house lol - put stuff away, arrange it, put it in the right place, and once you're done that house move is done and then you move onto the next house move several years later and do it all over again. It's actually a little nostalgic as time moves on so does the decor, the advancement of home technology etc. Done the 1990's and two moves in 2004 and 2007 - I think it was. And it's a relaxing chill game. I like it :-).

Still playing Wonderlands and still enjoying it. I must be getting towards the end of the main campaign but have loads of side missions to do so might concentrate on them tonight.

Kind of interested in Rimworld.....
Might reinstall Borderlands 3 and polish off the DLC to stave off any temptations
If you play the BL3 DLC again Deck, would you be able to possible help me with one of the side quests in the Western themed DLC. The quest is called The Quick and The Quickerer and it glitched on me as an NPC is supposed to do something at the start but doesn't. Thought if I joined someone else's game whilst they did the quest, it would register as me completing it too.

Had a little blast of Shredder's Revenge. Fun but I got bored fast.
Really can't decide what to play. I'm tempted to stick with PSVR and finish the whole backlog. Round it out with Saints & Sinners and No Man Sky.
Can't believe Sony are charging full price for TLOU Part1. I hope it absolutely bombs. They are being proper arseholes these days. I'm not buying Ragnorok either. Callisto Protocol will be my only day one new game this year. That might not even happen as I'm expecting my first child 1 week before it comes out.
Hope you all are having a grand time.
Get all your gaming time in now Ron ;)
Hi everyone.
Havent been posting all that much due to work.
My colleague is in vacations so its that time of the year when i barely have time to breathe.
Anyway, i finished Dying Light 2 last time with 82 hrs.
I think everyone should give it a try as its an amazing game.
You can get lost in the open world quests and challenges or just exploring and finding stuff along the way for hrs and hrs.
That itself it pretty fun and addictive but when you decide to go for the main missions, then there´s a ton of thrill in the set pieces they created. There were a couple of missions that i consider amongs the best i ever played in a game.
I also love the "humanity" and personal touch the devs added to the game in constrast with DL 1 where all felt a bit supeficial.
There were some genuine touching moments in there and some really really hard decisions to make if you get invested in the story and the world.
In conclusion, although i have DL1 regarded as one of my favourite games ever, i think DL 2 is even better in pretty much every department.
Its a realyl great game.
I give it a solid 9/10 (and 8,2 ME Andromedas)

Knocked off all the find all fauna on planets trophies in NMS pretty quickly and easier than expected (well apart from one planet that took over 2 hours for the last animal). The extreme survival trophies look to be the most time consuming (and tedious) but reckon I can stick with it for the plat so I'm not tempted to revisit ever again. Some of the improvements are decent though.
Gave up on the Borderlands 3 idea, pretty sure I'd start a new character and give up on it before I'd get anywhere near the DLC. Maybe at some point in the future but atm happy playing through D2 and NMS

I've been getting short bursts of gaming time in the evening recently so went back to Shredder's Revenge. Really nostalgic. I did get bored initially but short bursts keeps it fun. There's only really one part that's very frustrating. Probably replay it to get a few more achievements and that'll do. Don't fancy maxing out with all 7 characters. There's an achievement for finishing the final boss without getting hit which seems extremely challenging.
Probably move onto that new gamepass game which looked like a painted movie.
Despite me thinking Sony are being buttholes recently I kind of like their new PS plus and am considering it to play Returnal and FFVII Intergrade. But by the time my gamepass sub runs out Ragnorok will probably be on there!

Morning all. Finally completed all of the Alan Wake DLC campaigns. Really enjoyed it and still one of my favourite games of all time. Also completed Unpacking - nice little chillout game with a very subtle but nice story. Also got full gamerscore - as if i care lol. I guess next it's Metro Exodus Sam's Story DLC campaign. Also games pass now has both Watchdogs 2 and Ghost Recon Wildlands. I played Watchdogs 1 and to be honest it was OK nothing that really floated my boat so not sure I'm excited to play 2 - it's seen as the inferior game from what I've read. And Ghost Recon I loved back in the day but the linear games. I've never played any of the openworld Ghost Recons. So I might give Wildlands a go. I could replay Mass Effect 2 but I fancy something new. My wishlist of released games is looking a bit bare.

Decided while I'm in the mood I'd try and knock off the PS4 versions trophies as well.....but forgot I'd not played it on the PS5, so no saved game, and none uploaded to cloud, so have to start from scratch. Think I'd still rather try and get the 2 plats while I'm in the mood though

Still enjoying Wonderlands. I've been trying to clear all side missions before finishing the main story but think I'll just finish the main story tonight.
The plat is looking very doable but with a silly grind. For one trophy you need to upgrade every thing to max which costs approx 306 million credits. I'm near the end of the main story having done loads of side missions and I've earned approx 4 million.

After that jumped around games a bit. Finally picked up the Modern Warfare reboot (the one that's not the original or remaster) but bloody hell they made the digital version a bit of a hassle to install. First pick what you want to install, fine, not a bad idea. Picked them all, as I'd probably give the MP and spec ops a wee go but mostly focus on the campaign. Hours later when it was supposedly finished installing, couldn't connect to the server first time so kept in in offline mode with the intent to start the campaign.... of course it said no, the campaign pack was actually not installed but then brought up a menu showing that everything was installed. Connected to the server and guess what? It said they'd installed nothing at all..... what the hell was it doing all those hours and why ask what I wanted to install in the first place if they were going to ignore it? Fine.... clicked on the single played to download first - 10gb wont take that long..... Had a look 10 minutes later it had jumped to 20gb, and finally jumped to 23gb.
Kind of lost a bit of motivation to play it after that, but from the little I did play, it definitely felt a bit more interesting that the other unfinished CoD's I've sitting about.
Not really sure it's 100% what I'm in the mood for though
Congrats Deck. I managed to plat NMS a few years ago but didn't like it. It was the fauna trophy that made it even worse for me. Would always take me ages to find the last animal.
You must be near 200 plats now?
Played a bit of Wonderlands over the weekend. Finished the main story and only have one side quest left (although not sure where that spawns). Then it's time to grind the end game content for money so I can max all the upgrades.

The fauna trophy in NMS is a wee bit easier now but yeah I still had quite a few planets I found most of the animals immediately but one or two just wouldn't spawn. And it was the one that put me off attempting the plat when it was first out
Yeah I'm starting to think what plat 200 should be even though it's a little way off for me (at the rate I get them).
It'll show as a milestone forever on PSN Profiles so want to make it a decent one.

If it takes less time than I expect I'll consider knocking out the PS4 version too, but more likely I'll probably give Two Point Campus a go after that. Enjoyed Two Point Hospital and don't think it's hugely different from it.
MOrning all
Still in working hell but i´ll be on vacations in two days. Thank god!
Been playing Death Stranding for the last days.
Its a difficult game to understand in terms of concept and what is going for but i cant say im not enjoying it.
I get the vibe of the whole thing and im willing to go with it and take it as i think the developers wanted me to.

I'm bouncing between a lot of things right now (Octopath/Hades/Flight Simulator). I decided to give Sea of Thieves a chance, and surprisingly I enjoy it a lot. The simply act of navigating between locations and sailing itself is very relaxing. I'm just playing solo which seems very doable. Tried playing with randoms for a bit but it was easier and more fun on my own.
I also finally did the thing where I fly by my home town in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Very much surreal. The details were incredible for such a small rural area. The golf courses and sports complexes were visible and true to life. The landscapes retained all of their characteristic features. Very, very cool tech involved with this.

Tempted to pick up Cult of the Lamb. Always thought I'd make a decent cult leader. Only problem is no followers.....or compelling ideal......or charisma.....and I'm generally not pleasant to be around.... plus I don't like deceiving people. Apart from that it's a perfect job fit
Morning all. Went for another left field game this weekend. Started to play Recompile. It's a kinda puzzler, come platformer, come shooter in a Tron type world (without any bikes or vehicles). I actually really like it but I nearly binned it off twice due to difficulty - mostly in the combat where the enemy at first seem fine but then soon start to be OTT overpowered. Took me about a dozen attempts to get past three enemies in a gang and then when I hit the first boss fight it then seemed virtually impossible. So I went on youtube and discovered there is a power-up to slow down time - which I ventured off to find - which now makes the combat too easy but hey I'll take it. There are some logic puzzles too that aren't well done - a tad confusing - but I managed them in the end (by trial and error more than anything). So I've had a bit of a love-hate experience with this game but I'm mostly loving it - the world is superb, so atmospheric, as is the music. By no means a perfect game but I'm really enjoying it now.

Instead, I reinstalled Dragon's Dogma and played it all weekend. If the sequel is at least as good as the original, it will be an all time great (for me).

Still no 2nd D6 ping yet, by rushing through the rest of the game, it'll take a bit more preparation to polish off the final battle. Hopefully should pop later

Solo have just completed Dead Space through backwards compatibility. First time playing it since about 2010 when the plat pinged on the ps3. It's as fantastic as ever. Have also re-bought Dead Space 2 :)
Have sold my ps4 after moving all my game data to an external HDD and my saves onto a usb stick. Got £150 for it, with 2 controllers all cables, 2tb hdd installed, a handful of games and all boxed. Not too bad considering it was the original shape (not the half glossy launch model though).
All ready for a ps5 hopefully later this year/early next. Have already ordered a 1tb ssd for the ps5 because it (WD Black with heatsink) was £99 on amazon so snapped it up.
Thanks for the heads up on the 1tb ssd Phil - that is a bargain price. Just bagged one myself. Does that make me a Haw now?
Will put it away until I get a PS5 which could possibly be this year.

And stuck a good few hours into Cult of the Lamb now. Doesn't really do anything special but it's a solid, fun and at times stylish wee game. No complaints about it here.
Also had a couple of races in Grid..... had a look at how far I'd travelled on the PS5 and it's a little depressing how far I still have to go. Still enjoyed the drive and will have a go now and again but really don't have great hope for me ever getting that around the globe trophy

Since Hades is leaving game pass I will likely switch to that.

It was called "Broadcast" and i had to reach the top of a huge skyscrapper to mess with some antenna.
Somehow the developers managed to mix most, if not all, of the game mechanics into one single mission and it was amazing.
I did it all, sneak, fight, puzzle climbing, activate power points with a very cool cable mechanic used to activate powerstions in the world, dive underwater, fight/escape Volatiles, get super scared, etc etc.
It took me aprox 2 hts to reach the top and by the end i was so excited i had trouble going to sleep afterwards.
These guys truly put a lot of effort to bring some humanity into the game in contrast to the first one.
