Scarlet Nexus wasn't bad, quite liked it. It's nothing special but nothing to complain about either.
Avengers, can't say I'm a big fan of the game. There's nothing in particular that I could pick out for being wrong but for some reason every time I try to get into it, it takes very little time for me to lose interest. Lacks something for me
Picked up Phoenix Point over the weekend and it's a pretty awkward XCOM clone. Want to like it but early on it get's in it's own way a bit too much. Might be one of those that grows on me.Mostly Death Stranding for me over the weekend though. Done a fair bit of the heavy lifting (literally and figuratively) so shouldn't have much to do post game. Probably going to stick with it now till I get another Stranding ping

Been playing two games.
Original Divinity Sin is hard as hell.
I entered a cave, started a fight with a group of orcs and i managed to win by the skin of my teeth while losing all my health potions, scrolls and other stuff i had to use to keep the party alive.
Its a slow burner for sure but im enjoying it and im sure that, if i stick with it, im going to fall in love in a week.
Im also playing Styx which is a stealth game i have for probaly 5 in my backlog.
I started and imediately started to have a great time due to how it reminds me of the Thief games. It has a similar vibe and mechanics which made me feel at home after 5 minutes.
Its clearly not an AAA game as its a bit rough around the edges but im having fun which is what matters in the end.
Hi allWell, I finished Death Stranding and despite earlier misgivings, it wasn't a bad game. I was more interested in the story than delivering people's lost cargo and so just breezed through the main story missions, there was too much going backwards and forwards that annoyed me.
Weird thing, now that I've finished, I miss the sound effects. I keep expecting to hear "LIKE!" any moment and the scanner noises etc. Does anyone else get that when they finish a game?
Now just waiting for Far Cry 6.

I definitly want to play that game despite not having a clue what to expect or if i´ll like it.
I loved Death Stranding first time around but yeah, there's definitely a fair bit of back and forth and some sections of the game seem to drag on, especially if you've an eye on the plat. This 2nd playthrough, though I'm still enjoying it, it is a bit more of a struggle.Can't say I'd miss the sound effects but after some puzzle games I'll start seeing the puzzles everywhere

Didn't realise Alan Wake remaster was out so soon. Another addition to the to do list.
And a slightly less impressive Ping! than wolfie TOB - Car Demolition Clicker. One of those games that all the trophies pop within an hour, except that last one which takes months.

Also put my orders in for christmas and birthday games - Far Cry 6 and Alan Wake Remastered. So they'll be christmas or early next year games.
I know most people don't play Xbox on here but I've recently discovered (or paid attention to) Microsoft Rewards. Basically for just doing stuff on my Xbox - playing games, earning achievements, the occasional quiz I'm earning a massive £5 per month for doing what I mostly do normally. Got £5 to spend on the XBox store in each of the last three months. It's become a bit of an obsession for £5 lol.
Haha, they all count. I'm thinking of picking up a cheap copy of The New Order now and trying to do that one as well.

Finished Blasphemous. Very solid mechanically. I really didn't get into the story whatsoever. The religious themes were not really engaging to me, but seem well done. Any way, solid retro metroidvania. 7.5Started up Xcom 2. I trying my best not to get people killed, but the body count is rising, lol. Very cool and very challenging. I don't think I realized how involved the campaign is; base building and management stuff too.
Thanks for the opinions Deckard. I realized I don't even care much for Marvel stuff to begin with, so Avengers is scrapped from the list. I really liked Code Vein, so Scarlet Nexus is still a go at some point.
Finished off the story in Death Stranding and since I did most of the time consuming trophies during the game, I've only got a few left to do. Still probably take me a good few hours but post game should take less time than what the PS4 version took me. Should have it pinged in time for FC6
Not happy. Literally less than 5 minutes away from a 2nd Death Stranding plat and the game keeps crashing. Stuck over 115 hours into it and barely noticed even a graphical glitch with zero crashes. The when I have just one, not difficult, thing left to do, it constantly crashes as soon as I get the reward. I thought I'd found a workaround but no, crashes every time I try to fabricate the last item needed in the Directors Cut or when I try to save once the blueprint is in my possession. Overall I did enjoy playing it again, though there was definitely a bit more of me thinking - he's just a courier does he really need to know all this?Got tired of all the game crashes so made a start on Alan Wake. And that cheered me up. Going to play that alongside erm Far Cry 6, Diablo 2, Lost Judgment, Phoenix Point. Pretty sure there aren't enough hours in the day. Can somebody sort that out?

That also happened to me with Zombi on the PS4. I realyl enjoyed the game but the very last mission bugged and the final cutscene didnt trigger. I literaly was one cutscene away from finishingthe game and i coultnt. I still have that stuck in my throat.

No, I've finished it already, that wasn't a problem. This was post game trying to get the plat. It's only a tiny part of the Director's Cut that's causing a problem. They've added a race track for some reason and one of the races is bugged and is causing the game to crash (for me at least). All I need is to finish this one race to get the last thing I need to fabricate, but no, the game crashes every single time. It's just a little annoying, having stuck so much time in, that I can't plat it until it's fixed

Played a little FC6 and, to me at least, it has more in common with 3 & 4 than it does 5. One slight worry - I've not played that much but some areas have too much wildlife. I've fought at least 30 alligators, countless mongoose, don't know how many wild hog, and a load of coyote. Think I had a similar issue with one of the other games in the series and felt the spawn rate was a bit off in some areas - at times you can't seem to go 5 seconds without being attacked by an animal. The alligators are probably the worst offenders, I killed a group of three, then in no time another 3 turned up, then not long after another 6. One is bad enough! In general though, if you like FC I can't see too many reasons you wouldn't like this one

Having 6 of them run after you at once isn't a lot of fun ;)

After FC 5 and New Dawn i confess i dont feel like playing 6 at all, atm.
Last night i had a great session in Divinity Original Sin.
After 1 week of playing like i didnt know what i was doing, last night was the first time i actually felt like i did some measurable progress in many departments and got really immersed in what i was doing.
Im pretty sure tonight will be the oposite though. haha.

Divinity is a game where sometimes a single battle feels like a whole game on its own. I remember one big battle with a single enemy that took about 3hrs (after a couple tries). Probably why I stopped playing at a certain point. Some day I'll finish up!I'm feeling the same way about Xcom 2, even though I really like it. I was playing a mission the other day infiltrating a warehouse with derelict robots and an AI. I feel i'm doing great, somehow surviving this "difficult" labeled mission early game. Escape the facility, down two crew members, only to find a new super boss waiting for me. Get my crew wiped a few times, realize it will not be possible for me to complete the mission. My 2hrs of game time on a work night were totally wasted. I've since learned this was a DLC, and will be steering clear until I complete the traditional campaign.

Divinity's combat is awesome but unforgiving. A true CRPG if I've ever played one. I've been thinking about dusting it off myself. I still know exactly where I left off...mines and poisonous spiders. Truly horrifying.
Stuck a good few hours into Far Cry 6 now and, apart from the one area with too much wildlife, it's been fine. Enjoying it though video game agoraphobia might be setting in. After playing the PS5 versions of Ghosts of Tsushima and Death Stranding recently, another open world might be too much. I'll have a look at the map occasionally and think I can't be bothered. Probably done about a third of the map so far so at least I can see I've made a dent so it's not so bad.Playing Phoenix Point alongside it and it's definitely grown on me. It can be clumsy and awkward and has it's problems, but it does some things better than XCOM and has a few decent ideas.

I think i´ll ease a bit on Divinity for a while.
Im enjoying it but damn, its a very tiring game. Progress is really slow and currently, i dont know what to do.
My party is level 4, i cant go outside the initial town cause my arse gets wiped out by mobs. I dont think there´s anything left to do inside the town so im a bit lost atm.
I seem to remember the same thing happening to me Glass. I was enjoying Divinity, then as soon as you leave the town the difficulty seems to ramp up considerably. Even when you manage to win, it's taken a lot out of you and makes you think if the rest of the game is like this, it could be too much of a hassle to be bothered with at the minute. It's probably one of those that they will be a point when your group can cope fine with most things, but they could have been a bit more gentle when you leave town. For me, Divinity 2 was better in that respect, progression seemed more smooth which made it more enjoyable

Yeah. That´s how im feeling atm.
I know that i´ll eventually reach a point where my party will be good enough to handle the mobs but right now its not and the game doenst tell me where to go and what to do.
I tried to venture ouside 4 or 5 times and died everytime. And its not just dying, Its the amount of time spend in each fight, micro managing everything only to realize after 15 minutes that im better of to reload and not start it at all.
I did managed to win a fight against 3 zombies right outside one of the gates but i finished it having to use 2 of my 3 ressurect scrolls and spent almost all my health potions.
But no way i can handle fighting the 5/6 enemies in the other mob groups.
In the end, im not sure if i rather play a more quickly rewarding game in my limited gaming time.

So Far Cry 6.... Done about a third of the story but have done probably about 3/4 of bases, checkpoints etc and I'm not sure if I'm enjoying it or not. Don't know whether it's open world fatigue, or the setting, or it's simply not what I'm in the mood for, but I'm struggling a little for motivation. That's maybe not completely right - I am enjoying it, just not as much as I think I should be. Might leave it and come back later and see if I've more enthusiasm but have a feeing it's going to leave an overall feeling of being better than 4 but not as good as 3 or 5.

you´re probably just tired of the formular atm.
After playing FC5 and New Dawn, as much fun FC 6 probably is, im really not in the mood to play it. I ´ll probably get the itch when it goes on sale.
I've just started FC6 and I'm probably one of the few people who is happy that the formula hasn't changed much. I don't like people messing about with my favourite games, if I'm buying it, I want it to be the same as before, otherwise I might as well buy a different gameHaven't got very far yet, about to free the fuel depots (or I might just go for a wander!).

I too dont mind they keep the same formula in FC.
They are always the same but also always a blast to play.
We always know what to expect and if the mood is right its a great game.
Yeah, I'm enjoying going around attacking the bases and stuff well enough, so don't think the general FC formula is the problem for me. I think it's probably more that the story and characters aren't really doing much for me so far. Then again, I've spent most of my time wandering and avoiding the story as much as possible, so that could change too
I'll probably pick up the season pass for FC6 at some point when it's down in price, because it sounds fairly interesting - each dlc is from the viewpoint of the bad guys from 3, 4 & 5 plus FC3 Blood Dragon (which I wouldn't mind playing again)

I played more Divinity last night and ended up doing a play in the local open air theater. lol.
I also found a soldier from the Legion that i missed interely and she has new quests for me.
In the end, i started wanting to go outside to the area i now know its the correct for my party level and after 2 hrs i didnt put a foot outside.
So Xcom 2 has its hooks in me now. Second time around I'm handling things much better, with no squad deaths, and only a few injuries. This still involves restarting a few times on average, but I'm enjoying it much more. Completing a scenario with a flawless rating is quite satisfying. Also, I've discovered how deep the character creation options are. I've taken to customizing all of my characters, and feel much more invested in their fates, lol.Couldn't resist hawing Return to Arkam with Asylum/City. It was $5 and I didn't even finish City back in the day. So I started that one up and made it through Penguin's Museum. Still a very fun game, but not enough to pull me away from Xcom at the moment.

Even though you know your squad is replaceable, it's always annoying when you lose one member. Definitely remember rage quitting once or twice when I thought "I'm pretty much guaranteed to kill this alien before the end of my turn" only for the soldiers to sense my overconfidence and decide to miss on purpose, with an end result of losing one of them. The chance to hit percentages did my head in sometimes. Have always liked the type of game though
I don't think I had played this type of strategy until trying Empire of Sin. It wasn't as deep, but a blast and probably prepared me a bit for Xcom.Yes, I have the ultimate Xcom 2 collection, which is every bit of DLC/expansions ever released. It sometimes throws events at me which I'm not really capable of taking on, but I'm starting to identify them. I'm still a bit overwhelmed by the game, honestly. Really enjoying trying to get more comfortable though.
Sounds like Phoenix Point is worthwhile too. I'll keep it on my radar.
