I expect anything that isn't retro or small-time indie to at least have online check-in, if not always online these days. I certainly don't like it, but I'm at least fortunate enough to have fairly reliable and fast internet. I can always dig out the old Wii with a bunch of virtual console games if I have to.

So got stuck into Diablo 2 last night and love it all over again. Think I might regret picking the necromancer first though, my minions are great against standard mobs but lasted about 2 seconds against the Act 1 boss. And I don't know how many years since I last played it but I found myself doing the same slightly daft things all over again - insisting on kicking every barrel even though I know they are likely to explode, filled half my inventory with charms that probably only have marginal effect and leave no space for much other loot, and filled my stash with low class gems - despite knowing that by the time I get the horadric cube better gems will be dropping and all the ones I collected combined will amount to very little.
It'll definitely be my go-to game for the foreseeable future but think I might see what they've done with Death Stranding on PS5 first. I've a strong suspicion that it's not been long enough since I finished it to play it all again, so will be back to Diablo sooner rather than later

The original Kotor is going to be released for the Switch in November.
Thats a great game to have in there.
Was very tempted by Lost Judgment myself but it's likely to be months before I get around to picking it up, too much to play, too little time at the minute. Did enjoy the first one.
I had a friend who I was all set up to coop Diablo 2 with...but he can't find out how to retrieve his 15yr old battlenet password. I guess it's tied to his Xbox login, so he can't just create a new one. I've read a ton of complaints online about the battlenet system, and how they've handled online with this remaster period. It can't actually be that difficult though, right?

In all the years it's been going I don't think I've ever heard anything positive about Battlenet. I'm playing Diablo 2 offline so haven't had any issues but don't think anyone would be too surprised to hear others are.Playing a bit of Death Stranding directors cut as well and there's a weird Valve tie in now. I've been driving around in a Half-Life themed truck, wearing some Gordon Freeman glasses and delivering companion cubes for some reason.

While im still playing New Dawn (which im probably near the end) i also finally and properly started Divinity Original Sin.
I took my time to read everything, tutorials, skills, logs etc etc and the game stopped to feel like a very complicated mess for the first time.
I spent 30 minutos creating my characters and 10 minuts after i was hooked.
I just want to finish New Dawn quickly so i can sink myself in that game. Its been a very long time since i played a hardcore rpg and i guess i really missed it.
Divinity was one of those games I wanted to like but ended up being too awkward for it's own good. Divinity 2 plays a bit better and I lasted longer playing it but still lost interest in it eventually. One of those games I'll say I'll come back to at some point, but some point never seems to arrive

I used to love this type of games.
I played all Baldurs Gates, Arcanum etc and i always had an amazing time.
This one looks very similar and the amount of skills and options seem pretty good.
Besides, im getting a bit burned of playing the same type of games over and over and i truly need a refreshing game at this point.
Hi all. I've lost my gaming mojo big time of late.
I'd tried to carry on with the challenge maps on Wolfenstein TOB last week and got no where.
I thought I'd try again yesterday and managed to get through another 3 with relative ease and felt like I'd got a bit of mojo back. I'm not sure whether to try the 2 I've got left tonight or wait for the weekend again. I tend to be more sharp in the day.
I've also got an urge to go back to AC Brotherhood and collect the remaining flags. If I get a good feeling playing that again I might try and go for the 100% synch trophy as that is the only barrier to the plat.

Just about to start the mountain area and can't say I'm particularly looking forward to hiking up it again. AC Brotherhood didn't do much for me last night other than remind how bad the controls are.

Probably a year or two back, I tried giving the Ezio collection another playthrough and yeah, the controls made it pretty much unplayable. Made me wonder how I got through them all back when they were released

I was trying to reach a couple of the borgia flags and he just kept jumping when he wasn't supposed to and falling to his death or instead of jumping up, he'd turn 180 degrees and jump backwards.
I just though going for the 100% would be utterly rage inducing as quite a lot of its timed or stealth. The dodgy controls aren't made for speed or stealth. I'm not giving up forever but defo not the right game atm.

They're still enjoyable games. It's just from a trophy having point of view the controls aren't fit for purposes.
Thankfully AC2 is still a nice plat but Brotherhood has a 100% synch trophy.

Still plugging away at Blasphemous. It's very solid, but really makes me want to revisit other games in the genre. As I mentioned, this might be the game that gets me to finally finish Hollow Knight. It also has me wanting to play through Bloodstained again. I left that game 99% with 1 missing achievement that glitched. It still hurts but maybe I'm ready to give it another shot.Divinity Original Sin is one of my favorite games I can't seem to finish. I have a LOT of hours into it.

Good news - it looks like WRC 10 has updated it's anniversary mode timesBad News - In the rally I'm stuck on, I'm still 10s off the required time rather than the 30s before. And that's me driving pretty well.
Makes me a little more tempted to try, but still not sure how I'd be able to knock that amount off
Had a quick go at the rally this morning, had an almost flawless run and was feeling pretty good when I scraped the time by less than a second......then they went and followed that rally up with the same race, in reverse, at night, in a worse car and give you an extra 2 seconds to finish....Probably doable with a bit of effort but more stressful than I'd like. I'll think I'll keep chipping away at it now and again though

I'm half tempted by the new Hot Wheels game but looks like one that would drop in price fairly quickly.
Played Wolfenstein again last night and managed to knock another of the challenge rooms out. Only one left but could be tough. It has a high points requirement so will mean stringing a lot of head shots together for points bonuses. I'm not great at kills with skills etc so will be tricky but doable hopefully.

I had a few rallys this morning and think the WRC 10 plat is back to looking very doable again. The next few races I didn't drive anywhere near as smoothly and messed up more than a few time, yet still managed the times. Plus the anniversary rallys I managed to do in the career seem to have counted too. I've only done 5 in the actual anniversary mode but the game is saying I'm up to 9 out of the 12 needed. Going to try and see if there are any other stumbling blocks over lunch. But I'm optimistic that the patch seems to have made a good difference.
Ping! WRC 10. The rest of the races were pretty straight forward. A couple I had to try a few times, and a few were still very tight timewise, but overall the patch did the job. It's still challenging, but the times seem to be more fair for the average racer.

So, FC New Dawn kinda ruined itself for me last night.
I got to the last mission where i have to defeat the two twin bosses.
Keep in mind that, up to this point, im finding the game really easy (im playing in normal mode) and i havent had any situation difficult to handle for a long time.
So, i reached the final mission and started to attack one of the bosses and my damage output was near zero. I died 4 times until i faced the fact that there was no point in keep trying. Its like trying to kill a level 20 boss while im level 1.
I though that the problem, despite not being a problem until now, was that im using tier III weapons and the bosses are Tier IV.
So i went back, scavenged and re-liberate 6 or 7 outposts so i could get enough ethanol to unlock tier IV weapons and raise my companions also to tier IV and a bunch of other upgrades.
After 1 hr of doing this i went to the guns shop to get the tier IV weapons and realized i didnt have enough of a specific crafting material to make ANY of the IV weapons. I mean...any of them.
Awesome.
So i have two choices now: either i to this side missions called Expeditions and play more 3 or 4 hrs of a game that i really dont feel like playing anymore or...i´ll buy them with real money as microtransactions.
See? That´s why i hate MT in games. This was done deliberately to force players to spend real money because it only becomes an issue at a point where you´re all pumped up to finish the game and you dont want to go back and play for another 2 or 3 hrs.
I lost all excitement to play it but i have to do it because my ocd needs to finish it.

You probably did the Expeditions. I just read that the crafting materials i need can only be found in Expedition missions or bought with real money.
Since i skip them entirely because they were...side missions...i dont have any.
Thats a stupid decision, imho.

Since the PS+ offerings are so bad, I may have hawed Lost Judgment. It's all Sony's fault, honest, I wouldn't have hawed it otherwise......cough
I can't say I remember any MTs in New Dawn. Can't comment on the last boss fight, as I got as far as the last mission and simply lost interest. I think I was having a Far Cry overload at the time, with the FC3 remaster pretty much straight after playing FC5 and its DLC.

I need to accept this and do the expeditions. Im just disapointed cause i was really in the mood for Original Divinity Sin and now i have to play New Dawn for another 3 or 4 days.

I never felt any need for MT up until the last mission mate.
That´s why its ridiculous. I was breezing everything up until now and suddenly i cant even take 5% of the bosses health. :(

I'm really starting to get the itch to pick up a Series X. I have the money set aside at this point, I just don't know where I can actually get one. Trying to watch out for when stock drops to purchase online is dumb. I've never had to work this hard to give someone my money in my life!

I had the money aside to buy the PS5 but eventually gave up and bought the PsVR.
After that i completely lost interest.
If i had to chose i´ll probably would go to series X before the Ps5.
Onto Act 3 in Diablo 2 but wow my necromancer is hard work. The boss at the end of Act 2 kicked my ass so many times, it took about ten minutes after I finally beat him to loot all my corpses that I left behind. Don't know whether to re-spec, seriously grind, or start again with a new class. He's fine most of the time but the end of act bosses so far he's been hammered. Never really used the necromancer back in the day, mostly stuck with the druid or paladin, so kind of want to see it out but it looks like it'll be tough going.

Finished the boss final fight (which kinda sucked) just to enter a final final boss fight (which also sucked) and finished the game.
I think the boss fights were a bit pointless tbh, but i usually dont like them so its just my personal taste.
Overall i thought the game was pretty good. Not great but it was very enjoyable. I specially liked the more colorfull world mixed with the post-apocaliptic vibe.
In the end i concluded the same i always conclude after playing a FC game. It was good but it could be a vastly more interesting game if they risked it a bit more.
I give it a 7.5 out of 10.
Off i go to Original Divinity Sin now!

I only played 1 hr of the first game but i´ve been wanting to continue playing it ever since. Had to rush New Dawn because of it.
