Yea the DIgital Foundry review of MGS Delta performance and resolution wise is not glowing. In performance mode it gets no where near 60Hz and its base resolution is sub 1080p. And same old crap PSSR upscaling on Pro. A case again where the Pro version is actually worse than the standard version - crazy. Otherwise ignoring all that it’s basically a good remake completely overhauled and modernised so I think it’ll still look vastly improved and still a great game. For me it’s one to get in a sale. The day one patch may well fix a few of its issues but remains to be seen.
I’m looking forward to Gears too. Played it on 360 and the Ultimate edition. I’m even looking forward to the multiplayer even though it can be a high bar to being competitive.

Get a win in every online game mode made worry as I was never going to win an every man for himself deathmatch but TDM counts as a deathmatch.
There are a lot of hard looking and grindy trophies but it doesn't look impossible.
I’ve played a couple of hours of Gears. Enjoying the campaign again but the multiplayer is far above my ability level and I’ve already had enough. I don’t understand how people can zoom around the map so quickly. I got some kills but rather than getting better it just got worse and worse. Just the campaign for me.

Probably got to around the halfway point in the campaign. As remasters go, they maybe could have done a bit more visually, but it does the job. And it's still as good to play, so no major complaints from me

Even on casual, managed to die in seconds the first few attempts. Yet the time I succeeded it was the opposite, despite not doing anything majorly different. There are a few end bosses out there that are worse, but he's probably in the top 10. Definitely dont feel like attempting an insane difficulty run at the minute ;)
Overall though, still good stuff

Was kind of tempted by Viewfinder at one point, so might give that a go for a change of pace. The other 2, shockingly enough....I hawed years ago and was even playing a bit of Stardew Valley the other week.
But up next MGS3 for a bit of snake eating....which sounds like a definite 18+ rating ;)

As it is I started Aliens Fireteam Elite. It's not bad, a bit rough around the edges but enjoyable in coop. Unfortunately I'm playing it solo more than I thought I would be. The plat is difficult and really grindy but I've made a decent start.
As far as 3rd person coop shooters go, I think I'd rather be playing Gears though.

I’ve not been gaming much recently. On Act 4 of Gears of War Reloaded. Taking it exceptionally slowly only because my gaming mojo has gone a little. I’m not that excited for Ghost of Yotei (probably get it when cheaper) so not much on the Horizon for me except for Battlefield 6, Outer Worlds 2 and Keeper (which looks amazing). All out in October.

I've enjoyed the game for the most part and think it'll be one of those games that's better when played on the harder difficulties. With all the prep I'm doing, I should be ready for what's to come. Plus the two guys I'm co-oping with, have already run a few missions on the top difficulty so that'll help.
I’ve finally completed Gears of War Reloaded. Still a great game, visual upgrades look great and holds up well by today’s standards bar the cut-scenes which are clearly unchanged from the Ultimate edition. 9/10 on the r-score-o-meter. I’ve binned off the multiplayer as the skill level is far too high for me even though I’m pretty good at FPS multiplayer shooters. I have no other currently released games lined up to play so I’ll have to do some searching. My back log consists of Callisto Protocol, or a replay of Blops 6 campaign but on PS5, or replays of Horizon Zero Dawn or TLOU2 (but the PS5 remasters).

I played Forbidden West on the og ps5 on balanced mode, and it seemed fine, smooth, all good, but Zero Dawn on pro-balanced was visibly a bit choppy, so went with pro-performance and it's silky smooth, and I can't notice any downgrade in the graphics compared to pro-balanced (nor pro-quality for that matter) so all good.
For sure it's gorgeous. I love the Horizon games, I know they're not for everyone but they're probably my favourite open-world games, maybe tied neck-and-neck with the RDR and GTA games - and Skyrim lol.
I’m struggling to motivate myself to replay HZD or TLOU2 again. I found HZD a real chore in the latter half of the game and TLOU2 I really loved but it’s a really long game - took me about 30 hours to complete it. I suppose I could play either/both to the point I’ve had enough as I finished them both before so no biggy if I don’t complete them a second time.

I never picked up Borderlands 4 as I was still heavily involved with Aliens Fireteam Elite. I'm glad as BL4 seems to be riddled with performance issues so by the time I get to it, these issues will have been patched out and it'll cost less.
I've played nothing but Aliens for weeks now. I've got all but one trophy left which I'm deliberately delaying so I can make it my #275 milestone. I've got Jusant and Viewfinder to do first but I keep jumping on Aliens to help others with their insane diff play through. I'm definitely ready to move on but will miss having such a big coop game to play.
I've no idea what I'll play after Jusant, Viewfinder and Aliens.
And there was me thinking I was the last one standing.
I was struggling to find a game to play so I reluctantly thought I’d give HZD remaster a go fully expecting to get bored and bin it off after 30 minutes (having played it before back in the day). And before I know it I’m hooked and loving it. I’m near the end of the campaign and I’ve probably enjoyed it a lot more this time around. Not going for trophies but just a main line campaign play through. Looks gorgeous too graphically on the Pro.

I never played the original Gears of War but played 2 & 3 for hours on my 360. I'll almost certainly get this Reloaded version soonish.
