What have you been playing: before the forum was deleted?
Had Herr Jones in the basket a few times before thinking better about it. I'll wait till it's dropped below half price I think. If I hawed it now, I'd probably have my eye on something else by the time it's installed knowing me.And came to the conclusion CoD would be a daft purchase when I've 3 or 4 of them left unfinished. I'll stick to TunA or SalmoN ;)

Andromeda is great! I highly recommend it. Can see why others have called it a masterpiece....Erm by others I mean just the one ;)
I'm pretty sure I can hold off any needless hawing until Death Stranding 2 later in the month...probably....maybe....stranger things have happened....;)
Apparently if I drop my weapon stats below 200 on The Division, the game shouldn't match me with op psychos. I'll just get my behind kick by the AI instead ;)
Am going to be pulling the trigger on a ps5Pro in the next couple of days.I have sold my ps5 on ebay (bundled with a 2nd controller, 3 games, WD_Black 1tb ssd and rear-usb powered cooling fan) for £350...all packaged up and ready to post tomorrow.
As soon as the funds clear I will be buying the Pro from Very, having never bought anything off Very before, I will be taking advantage of the 20% off first purchase offer. That currently brings the price of the Pro down to £519, and then -£350 means I'll be spending £169 to upgrade.
(of course I have already spent £100 on the disc drive, and have bought a cooling extractor fan and Glistco skates to upgrade the horizontal placement orientation. Will also pick up black side panels once Sony get around to releasing those, and at some point a back up/spare disc drive!!)

I’m looking forward to playing Death Stranding 2 on Pro, should look amazing.
Gaming wise for me just cracking on with Doom the dark ages. On chapter 15. I’m enjoying it and some of the levels are really big and engrossing. Xbox Games Pass has been consistently excellent since last year so my Pro is not getting much of a look in at the moment. DS2 will change that however.
Enjoy your new Pro Phil. I think there's only me left on a base model 😢I nearly started a new character on The Division just for the DZ. You can't really downgrade your characters so I'd read this was an option to not get matched with op scumbags. But with only two zones left it felt like busy work.
Thankfully Capt Twat-tastic and his cronies gave themselves the night off so was able to do what I needed to for that trophy. Someone messaged me about boosting 20 rogue agent kills so ticked the two trophies off relating to that. Then he needed some revives to which I duly obliged and then he helped me hunt down the remaining named elites I need.
After experiencing the worst kind of gamer, tonight I was paired with the best kind.

Congrats on The Division ping. Sounds like one you'd be pretty satisfied with, despite/because of the frustrations, and sounds like you've had a few satisfying ones of late.
Thanks Deck. Yeah I was happy to get both Division games over the line. I'm not sure why I stopped playing them before as they are great. Probably not understanding the dark zone MP stuff and assuming it was too daunting.Its the year of the clean ups for me. Starting with COD Ghosts in Jan, I've cleaned up over 40 years worth of unfinished games ie the time between unlocking the first trophy and plat. I'm going to see if I can make it 100 years worth by December.
Was trying to plat Fantasy Life i, but think I'll knock it on the head for now. Knew it was likely to be a grind, but it's a bit too much of one for my current patience. Might go back to it if nothing else clicks and mindlessly grind away

FBC Firebreak launches via PS+ on the 13th. Are you interested in that Deck?Did you get Clair Obscure: Expidition 33? Its a lot of folks GOTY contender and looks up your street but I don't think you've mentioned it.
I've looked at Clair Obscur a few times, but looks like one I'd have to be in the mood for, which I'm not sure I am at the minute. I'll definitely pick it up at some point but not one I'm in a big hurry for.....he says, as he considers whether to add it to the basket.... ;)FBC Firebreak...loved Control and Firebreak looks decent, but I can't see me sticking too many hours into it. I'll be giving it a go but can't say I'm really hyped for it
Im going to look at the trophy list for FBC Firebreak and unless the trophy list is ridiculous, I'll pump quite a lot of time into that.I'll see if I can squeeze another trophy clean up in the meantime. Or what I'll actually do is try and knock out a couple of simple/easy games. Get the numbers up after some mega slogs of late ;)
Could be wrong, but it feels a little like they've tweaked the solo player in Nightreign a little.....I'm still rubbish though ;)
Was half tempted by Deltarune as I thought Undertale was alright...but not sure if it has any trophies

Nah, I don't tend to watch those. I generally just catch up on the games that interest me the next day.
Yeah, Nioh 3 and not much else, and even it had me a bit worried.Stuck about an hour into Clair Obscur and mixed feelings a little. It's a bit too slow paced and cinematic for my taste early on, but still interesting enough that I'll continue with it at the weekend.
The only thing to half get me interested during the State of Play was the 007 game. And even that didn't look particularly great.It seems like everything these days has to have a novelty art style or be set in feudal Japan (an era/setting I have zero interest in).
No wonder I just keep going back and cleaning up old games.

Changed my mind about Nioh 3. Gave the Alpha demo a quick go and, few tweaks, but it looks like more of the same. Which is fine by me
The Bond game looks a bit dated to me. I'd say last gen but not sure it would look out of place on the PS3/360. Might end up being decent enough fun, but from the video, not one I'll really get too excited about

The game picks up when you leave Luminere and it is mostly fighting except when you speak to your companions in camp and after boss fights.
Good to know. Was a little worried it would be one of those you spent more time watching than playing
Played a bit more of Clair Obscur yesterday evening, and yeah, maybe not a contender for goty, but a pretty decent effort so far. Does more right than wrong
I may have hawed the Lies of P dlc...partly influenced by the free update of difficulty settings. Probably/definitely could have gone back without the dlc but liked what I'd played enough to go for it....just need to find space for it and the other dozen games I'm trying to squeeze in before Death Stranding 2 ;)

Gears of War Reloaded on PS5 in August 2025I'm not sure if this is just the first game or the trilogy remastered.
I think it's just the original remastered. Surprisingly reasonably priced though
I didn't see the price but its good if you think its reasonable. I'm interested but probably won't jump in day one like I did with FH5.I've also just seen a trailer for a new A Plague Tale game. Looks very different from the first two though. Not a rat in sight and the main character in it looks to be a side character from Requiem. Will keep an eye on it, if only to learn what it actually is.
It's still £39.99 but plenty of others would be charging 20-30 quid more for their remasters...cough...Sony...cough....;)
Yeah that's not bad.Has anyone got any interest in Mindseye? It's a bit of a funny looking game but is essentially a single player, 3rd person shooter, open world game. The lead protagonist looks like the long lost twin of Lincoln Clay from Mafia 3 too.
I fired up Sonic and Sega All Star Racing yesterday and thankfully some good samaritan answered my call on PSNP and I got all the online trophies done in about 20 mins. Will be playing this for a bit but also thinking of starting Jedi Survivor as well. I recently finished watching Andor (S2) so in a bit of a Star Wars mood atm.
I've had a few looks at Mindseye, but unconvinced at the minute. Maybe pick it up cheap if it turns out not to be terrible. Think it's one that could go either way
And with Death Stranding 2 around the corner, I'm a bit wary of getting stuck into anything....which is a bit daft since I could probably get through more than a few between then and now
I think I'll do the same with Mindseye. If its sp only, the price will drop quickly.
More Sonic Racing for me last night, working my way through the missions. All need a AAA rank and I'd forgotten how frustrating some of them can be. And there's 64 of them too 😬

I’ve pre-ordered Death Stranding 2, with some PS Store credit I got at Christmas, and thought that would be my next game in a couple of weeks time. And then I looked on Games Pass and there is a remastered version of Warhammer 40k Space Marine 1 (from 2011) in 4k 60fps - just released - and after initially finding it a bit dated, after a couple of missions it’s really got its hooks into me. Great level design and really fun combat, and I’m already nearly half way through the campaign. For some reason only released on Xbox and PC, no PS5 version.
I'm tempted to pick up the deluxe version of Death Stranding 2 for the early access, because I'm really struggling to settle on anything at the minute

Yeah the extra tenner doesn't really add much apart from the 2 days early. There were similar bonuses for pre ordering the first game, and don't think i touched them. I'll make a decision closer to the time, if I'm still struggling to settle on anything, I'll likely bite.who knows, maybe FBC Firebreak will click tomorrow and I'll not want to play anything else. Doubt it, with its MP focus, but you never know
Didn't realise FBC Firebreak was only free on PS+ Extra....there's that idea out the window. No interest in upping my sub
I find Extra worth the upgrade from Essential but Premium is an absolute joke, even more so these days. On that tier you get one crappy PS1 game per month on top of Extra. I don't know who in their right mind would pay for that.I'm downloading FBC Firebreak now but not sure when/if I'll get to it. I spend more time on my PS3 of late.

I reckon Firebreak will be free for all sooner rather than later. Hope it doesn't encourage people to upgrade their subscription, don't want Sony getting ideas..The Division 2 had an update there....said it required 96gb free space to be able to install....thought it must be a pretty major update but no, the actual install size was only 6gb....
I had a wonder round the dark zone (DZ) on The Division and managed to start extracting gear from the 6 zones I need to do. Was 10 seconds away from doing the 6th and final one (I think) and this op toss pot comes along and downs me and takes my loot. He then just started following me round the map and attacking me so called it a night. I'm not sure how sad your existence needs to be to go round ruining people's games to get your kicks. Ive not experienced such online twattery since the late noughties COD era on Xbox 360.
Played a bit of FH5 instead. My 'crew' on The Division reckon they might be ready soon to join me in the DZ so can hopefully finish what I couldn't do tonight.
