What have you been playing: before the forum was deleted?
Finished the post story erm story in Monster Hunter Wilds. Most of the rest of the trophies look way too much of a chore, so I'm really done this time.Not heard anything about Jurassic Park Survival, recently or...ever for that matter ;)
I've not heard of Jurassic Park Survival either. Then again, I still haven't seen any Jurassic Park or World film though so not something that'd be on my radar.Split Fiction (front the makers of A Way Out and It Takes Two) has reviewed very well.
And I'm still playing Monster Hunter Wilds, mostly because nothing else is really tickling my fancy. Just knocking off some of the easier looking trophies, I've no intention of going anywhere near the 100 MP hunts, or reach Hunter level 100
Thought I'd try and get through the Tekken 8 story....after a couple of game over's very early on,... on easy....came to the conclusion - I'm not very good at this ;) For all the accessibility options games have today...can they not make easy modes....easy?Don't particularly fancy a weekend of swearing at Monster Hunter Wilds, but struggling to find anything else at the minute
I've started Sniper Elite 3 in coop on authentic difficulty. We're using a glitch to make it easier (you get a HUD and aim assist). You also kind of get a checkpoint if you both die but its still really hard. We've managed 3 out of the 8 missions so far without too much trouble and we're hoping to finish the other 5 off over the weekend.
I'm that desperate, Andromeda is back installing ;) Along with a few other proper games ;) Mafia, MGSV, Infinite Wealth (PS4), Alan Wake Remaster l, One Piece Odyssey, Chained Echos, Sea of Stars, are all contenders....to be played for five minutes before looking for something else
I've had Mafia installed for years and even bought the disc version in 2020. I don't know why I've still not got round to it.
Are you interested in Atomfall Deck?
Yeah, one I'll probably pick up at some point, probably day one if/when i can't find anything else to play. Looks pretty interesting but one I'd expect to be rough around the edges
Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Had it not been for Forza Horizon 5 coming out next month, I would have probably picked up Atomfall day one.It might be one where a few patches are needed though, given the scale of the game. Definitely one I'll get to this year though.

I watched the Borderlands film last night. It wasn't great but was nowhere near as bad as was made out. I thought it did an OK job of capturing the vibe of the games.
Funny I was looking at the Borderlands film about an hour ago and was thinking do I or don't I.And Tekken 8...when I'd played the beta, I'd thought - this is a pretty satisfying fighter...but the little I played when I'd picked the full game up was - it ain't the Tekken I know. Getting near the end of the story now and I've mixed feelings - good solid fighter but it's Tekken and it's not.
I...might stick with Tekken 8. Trophy wise, it looks OK, most can be done single player, and the MP don't gave to win...though might have to have a closer look
And that's mainly because I fluked the perfect victory trophy in the one online match I've done. Lost 1-3 but the one was great
Changed my mind, win a player match, I'd try.....if I could get a match ... so the chances of getting a match are low and the chances of me fluking a win are even lower....so no, not gonna think about the ping
Yep, no, me being daft..for a change or as usual... think I'd been playing with easy controls in Tekken 8...maybe, they've not explained pretty much anything., so hopefully I can pull off the 10 hit combos I used to...lol good luck with that
For a fighting game, Tekken 8 is looking weirdly platable. Drunken boxer Deckard managed to get all the online trophies somehow, the rest should be pretty doable. Kind of game I need to play alongside something else and play in short blasts but feeling optimistic about an unexpected plat eventually
Also reinstalled Darkest Dungeon 2 as there's a free update coming on the 18th. Great wee game, if you like the type. Not one for platting though, for us mere mortals at least
I've no intention of playing them but I read that Tekken 7 was/is very plattable and that Tekken 8 was in a similar vein.I used to love Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat on the SNES but I could never get on with fighters once they went 3D.
I used to stick quite a few hours into fighters, but that gradually became less and less, and there came a point where the cost vs time played wasn't seeing eye to fist. Might have to have another look at 7 if it's doable, I'm not a competitive guy but really enjoyed the MP last night
Loading screen of ME Andromeda - Ryders actions have consequences, choose wisely....yup he/she ruined Mass Effect and consequences are I'm very wary of any new ME, despite rating the first game as one of my all time favs ;)
Clicked on the MP on Andromeda....game crashes. Start as it means to continue - one big teain wreck ;)
6 out of 8 SE3 missions done on authentic difficulty now. We were on a roll but both had to go unfortunately. Hopefully we can quickly back into it tomorrow afternoon.
Ping! Tekken 8. I'd seen on a website they'd said the plat was a 3/10 for difficulty....I found it pretty frustrating at times, quite a few fights I had to replay and towards the end was cheesing the fights rather than playing properly. Still, overall enjoyed it and pretty happy with the plat

And i see that Death Stranding 2 has got a release date of the end of June. Sooner than I'd expected
I finished SE3 on authentic difficulty yesterday. The game glitched towards the end of the last mission with my coop partner getting locked behind a door that only swings open to spawn extra enemies during the final. It made the last dash to freedom very tense compared with the rest of it.That's the heavy lifting done in terms of the plat. One more potentially annoying trophy left but otherwise, its mainly just a case of mopping up collectibles.

I played Indiana Jones on Xbox and it’s an excellent game. I wasn’t aware of a new Robocop game.
The Robocop game Unfinished Business is a standalone expansion to Rogue City from what I've read. Hopefully it'll have a separate trophy list.

I'm thinking like Wolfenstein The Old Blood etc. It'll deffo have trophies, but will it have a plat...?
Sounds good though - sounds to essentially have the same plot as the 2012 film Dredd, with the addition of some flashback missions to Murphy before he was Robo.
71 games installed and not sure I want to play any of them. Shin Megami Tensei V is a maybe it'll stick, other than that Monster Hunter and Redacted are being messed around in rather than playing properly
I managed to get the awkward trophy done on SE3 last night. It involves blowing 3 things up at once and would have been much easier in coop but managed to do it first time playing solo.Tonight, I will try and do another awkward trophy which I'd forgotten about. This involves getting most of the way through the mission without being seen. Should be OK on cadet difficulty, hopefully.
TVs....have gotten beyond frustrated with my Philips PUS8897 'The One'...what's most frustrating is the picture is great, it can do 120hz in game mode, VRR, all the good stuff, but it's just the operating system is so glitchy and rubbish.It's like you plug something new in and something already plugged in just stops working. I bought a freeview play box with a built-in hdd so I could pause/record/series link stuff (you can theoretically plug a hardrive into the tv via usb but i tried it and the TV seems useless at it so abandoned that) and it caused everything else in the other 3 hdmi's to suddenly be not recognised.
Anyway I'm sacking it off, try and sell on Facebook or something. Have temporarily reverted to my old Samsung 'Crystal UHD' which works great (yay!) but is a bog-standard 4K tv, no jazzy gaming features, 60hz, pretty dull picture.
Am now seriously looking at LG C4 OLED 55". Can get for £899.98. Should I pull the trigger?
R is our resident TV expert. Unfortunately I don't really know about TV's and definitely not enough to offer any worthwhile advice.I have however, pulled the trigger on Fantasy Tower Defence for 57p. I'm looking forward to giving this a blast after my latest long haul plat hunt (which could still go either way).

Still played Dragon Age. Absolutely loving it. Superb game and dare I say best looking game on my Pro.

I reckon Veilguard will be one of those I don't ever see eye to eye with. Not quite Mass Effect 1 vs Andromeda but not far off. It's definitely looks superior to Andromeda but compared to DA Origins, it's one I can't help but feel disappointed in. Says a lot about Bioware these days, supposedly a return to form, but still a fraction of what they once were
I must admit, when I first saw Veilguard I liked the look of it. I've never played any other games in the series though so not sure how it compares. It looks a bit like Mass Effect but with magic instead of guns and biotics.I can't look past that pronoun nonsense though. The clip I saw was nauseating but maybe that was the only reference to it.
It's not the worst game in the world from the 7 or so hours I'd played, just the difference between what it is and what I want it to be is leagues apart
I might add it to my library at the very least. I don't know if you guys saw the PS+ Extra games announced yesterday but I think it might be the worst month ever. I'm not too bothered as I have a nice little backlog to keep me going until FH5 but still.

As for ps plus extra. I’m thinking of lowering to essential when my sub expires. Seems to me most games on essential are better than on extra. Games pass on the other hand has been excellent consistently especially in the last 6 months.
99% of the time (what I'd played at least), the dialogue wasn't any different to most other games, but there was one conversation/dialogue choices that they made a right mess of. They probably stuck a considerable amount of time and effort in, yet still got it badly wrong.
And it's a fantasy world that's full of slavery and racism, so why they've decided to go down that route doesn't make a heap load of sense

I'm starting to get nervous that it's been canned. I haven't read that officially but there's rumours and there hasn't been any updates for a while, nor any leaks or anything.
