I've got one eye on the 275 milestone but still a ways to go yet. I'm trying to avoid grubbies too and the ones I am working on are slow burners to say the least.
I think you'll hit 300 before I reach 275

Story feels a bit like Greedfall so far...that's a plus in my book.
I’ve started Avowed. About 3 hours in. So far got to say I’m really enjoying it. Love the combat - especially the spells - and the world exploration. Story isn’t doing anything for me but everything else is a lot of fun. Great artwork and graphics not too bad. Frame rate not so great but it’s not spoiling it too much. It definitely has its hooks me. Can’t wait to get back to it.

I will say I've had a bunch of hard crashes, so hopefully that gets patched out soon.

More Avowed for me. About 8 hours in. Best game I’ve played in a while. I think because I don’t play many RPGs it feels like a refreshing change. I mean I have played the likes of Fallout 3/4/NV, Mass Effect 1-3, Skyrim, Fable 1-3, Outer Worlds but that was a while ago. Avowed though absolutely loving it. Not one crash or bug yet either. It’s not a perfect game - it could do with some polish in certain aspects - but for fun and world immersion 10/10. Prefer it to Skyrim even if Skyrim might be technically the better game.

Sigh...maybe it's time I gave up gaming and became a useful member of society ;)

Maybe I'll join Trump in trying to destabilise the world, probably more fun than I'm having at the minute ;)

Technically better after 6 months of patches then. I was more meaning if you steal, attack some random NPC, stab a chicken nothing happens in Avowed - no consequence - not very RPG in that sense. Plus the enemies are not very varied.
My Avowed character fancied a bit of fried chicken. He was surprised to see chickens are invincible but walking mushrooms are not. Crazyness.

I need to crack on, on the plat front. I started the year well but have slowed down quite a bit.
I see Dragon Age: Veilguard (or should that be Failguard) is already a PS+ Essentials game. Obviously shoe horning pronoun nonsense worked out well for them in terms of game sales. Marginally better than it did for Concord I guess.

Was surprised to see Veilguard on PS+ already. Was half tempted to go back to it, as there's not really too much wrong with it, gameplay wise. but I dont know.... felt it was a little uninspiring. Think it's one I'll find to be very dull unless I'm in the mood

Not really in the mood to go back to the Warriors Abyss PS4 plat attempt either, I'll leave that one a few months at least. So yeah, think there'll be a hawing sooner rather than later

I am wondering if my Xbox is on its way out though - I'm still having the occasional hard crash. If others are not, it doesn't bode well for my video game future.
I’ve played around 13 hours of Avowed, Error. Not one single crash for me and otherwise no bugs whatsoever. Like you really enjoying it.

I've only been waiting 12-13 years, what's another 4 days?

Now what...don't think I'm really in the mood for Monster Hunter or Two Point Museum at the minute, so I'm drawing a blank. Even reinstalled A Plague Tale Innocence, I'm that desperate ;) Had a look at how far I'd got in the PS4 version, and looks like I'd not even got to chapter 4 before dosing off. Might have a look at a trophy guide, and if it's straightforward, then maybe, maybe......maybe get bored after 6 minutes instead of 5 ;) That said, I've not many other ideas for alternatives

Ping! Aliens: Colonial Marines
Yes, the 2013 GOTY contender on PS3 ;)
This is another one where I saw a PSNP session and joined not expecting much. However, I found someone from the UK to coop the campaign on Badass difficulty and not knock out most of the 80 odd challenges in the game. Strangely the servers are still on for this and work perfectly fine so we were able to boost the MP stuff. It was the only way to be sure.
Myself and this guy are now looking at cooping Sniper Elite 3 on authentic difficulty to potentially bag another 'plat from the dead', although I'd still have plenty of work on misc trophies.

The campaign is fully playable in coop too which is always good.
The sound design was top notch, mainly as all the sound effects and music are pulled straight from the films. There is no better weapon sound than the pulse rifle and no sound more likely to scare me than the motion tracker detecting something xenomorph shaped.

No crashes for me with the game.
One crash for me now after around 17 hours. I’m nearly at the end of the campaign, probably only another couple of hours to go. I might even play it again - I’ve loved it. Although I might try DragonAge on ps plus first.

I did change the game to performance mode which has cut down on crashes significantly.
I’m not a see and do everything kind of gamer. I’ve done some side quests and companion quests and near the end of the campaign after about 20 hours - probably underestimated how much I had left. I hope like most open or semi-open world games you can continue doing side quests after completing the campaign, as I normally do that if I’m enjoying a game, I go back and do a bit more.
