An | 27 comments So ever since Meyer announced she has two books up her sleeve for future release in the Twilight Saga universe, and that one of them is from Renesmee's perspective, I can't stop being exciting about that arrival.

I've been dying to find out what happens with Renesmee and Jacob ever since Breaking Dawn ended. So much was left unfinished. Is Nahual a contender for Renesmee's romantic affection? Will Renesmee end up hating her family when she learns (inevitably?) that her father, best friend, and grandfather all actively pursued arranging her death? Can she bear to romantically love Jacob when she learns Jacob loved her mother? How does she navigate life and her identity while being weaker and slower than the rest of her vampire family yet stronger and faster than her human family? How will Edward and Bella raise Renesmee given their vast cultural differences and who will become the primary parenting decision maker among the couple? Will Renesmee remain with the Cullen clan, or branch off on her own?

Therefore, I was quite surprised that I read recently in this article that many fans are not down for a story from Renesmee's POV.

Among everyone here, would you be happy to have a book from Renesmee's POV?

Noonecansinkmyship (Tissa) I'm not all the excited about reading Jacob and Renesmee's relationship. I think it's mostly because the ship came out of nowhere and I don't really have any attachment to the ship. I like watching Bella and Edward play family more. :)

You do mention some great questions though and if the book does come out about it, I think I might pick it up. So not that excited haha. I think it's partly because I know that although Jacob can live for a long time, he's not immortal like Renesmee and the rest of the clan so their time together would be limited. It's like having a ticking bomb over your head while trying to enjoy doing your favorite hobby or eating favorite food. You know it's good, but you also know it won't last cause your gonna die lol.

Zoe I heard about those releases too but that still is quite a while isn’t it?
I’m so looking forward to that book. Excited how the relationship between Jacob and Renesmee develops

Makiyah | 9 comments I am nowhere near looking forward to those books. The author is disgusting for even making such a concept come to life. I'd much rather a story about Leah and how she finally overcomes heartache from Sam. Or a Sam and Leah lovestory to get a better understanding of her betrayal, etc. I'd rather a book for each Cullen character and goes deep into their lifes as humans and then vampires. That'd be cool.

But, even if that were to happen, she's a terrible writer. But her books bring comfort.

abigail (abigailntz) | 1 comments i am interested in seeing what the future holds for the cullens and seeing edward be a dad but i don’t care to read about renesme’s relationship with jacob. to me that whole thing was stephanie’s bad way of making everything perfect and happy and almost trying to make up for the crappy way jacob was treated by bella. perfect and happy was never what twilight was & it was never how the story was supposed to end. even renesme being born was too “bella gets everything she wants” to me.

Yes! How come Bella randomly realizes she's in love etc. and then suddenly vampires can have babies and the baby is Jacob's "soulmate"... it sounds disgusting... I wish Breaking Dawn focused more on Bella, Edward and Jacob's dynamic moving forward. As maybe even have another book. So many questions were left unanswered.

Ron | 0 comments I am probably in the small ship that actually loved Jacob and Renesmee. I never viewed Jacob's imprinting as creepy or weird. To me, it was as much a spiritual connection at the beginning, much like it was with Quil and Claire.

I could view Jacob as everything he said he was, "a friend, a brother, a protector." He was everything Renesmee needed.

If SM were to write a story for them I would so be on board!

Tamsyn (tamsynchaffins) | 2 comments I am DYING to read her story, I love Renesmee and I think she gets a really raw deal in the fandom, (like yeah I get it most of us hate the name but do we really have to bully her by calling her literally every other words that begin with r as much as we do?) I NEED the love triangle that will be Nahual and Jacob, (I'm personally team Nahual so far!) And if I have to rebuy the white set to get the white editions like with Midnight Sun, I am going to RAGE!!

Also, I just want to point out that Renesmee has strong potential to maybe have her power evolve into some sort of mind control and if SM doesn't go that route I am going to be one very salty donut.
