Tell us your bookmark ideas here! As for me, I NEVER FOLD PAPERS, IT'S LIKE A CRIME TO ME. I just use a piece of paper, or memorize the page/chap number most of the times :)

I was using a price tag for the book I just finished. And yes it is definitely a crime to fold the pages of books!

I use a unused tissue, or a make a bookmark, laminate it and then use it….

I get a ton of books from my local library, so my receipts are really long. I just stick them in the top book in my stack and use those most of the time!
I also use random candy wrappers if I don't have a receipt on hand:)

I have made/bought some cute bookmarks in the past, but I end up loosing them, or never having them in a convenient place. I respect those who always have the coolest bookmarks in their books, I never have the patience to find one lol!! ;)

I use a magnetic bookmark. Basically you can attach it to a sheet, does not fall out of the book so you don't miss it. It has two side and each side have a holographic horse picture.

I usually use non-sticky post it notes...sometimes I write notes for the book I'm reading on them, sometimes they already have my grocery list on them. If I'm feeling really fancy I'll try to match the colour with the book cover lol.
I'm always meaning to get a nice bookmark but never do.

I completely agree, folding pages is destroying the integrity of a book. NEVER, EVER DO IT!! There are plenty of other bookmarks!

Folding pages should be a crime. I love bookmarks, especially one I have in the Book Depository Bookmark Series "Problems Only Readers Have". It has a girl on the front smelling a book. She says "Ahh yes. I'm picking up deep Bronte base notes with occasional accents of Shelley, And a a floral Austen afternote - mmm ". This is Number 2 in the series!

So, I basically just use whatever I can find lol. Right now I’m using a piece of paper towel! Sometimes I use spare paper I find around work or at home. I also lose my bookmarks all the time so I just kinda figure it out! I definitely don’t dog ear the pages though, that’s illegal in this house

Oh my gods i always feel weird…. because whenever i go to a bookstore i have to buy the bookmarks that are magnetic and you put the page in between them. I don’t know how else to describe them but they’re my favorite thing ever. I hate always losing actual bookmarks and feel weird with random papers so these are amazing for me. and the take up very little space !!

every time i buy books at a bookstore i HAVE to buy a bookmark as well. but other than that i kinda make my own bookmarks like i look up pictures on pinterest, print them out and laminate them 😂

I have a friend who has to have a bookmark where the tassels match the book cover.
