I was able to read 18% (81 pages) so not half bad. This is the first movie I've shown all year.

It was this book. I do like it but at first I was a bit confused because I didn't know it was about shape shifters and werewolves. LOL

I had a difficult time concentrating with a movie blaring in my ears and I was also working on a few letters of recommendation and yearbook pages. But I was happy getting read what I did. I'm finishing up Ch. 5 now and then I'll post.

Okay, that was an all day on again, off again to read 5 chapters. LOL But I finally did it. :o)

Aden (view spoiler)[ really confused me in the beginning. At first I thought he had multiple personalities, then it sounded like there were zombies involved. Finally in Ch. 4 (I think it was) he became a wolf. At least I think it was Aden. I guess I'm still a wee bit confused. I'm like, "oh my!" I really like him for some reason. (hide spoiler)]

Mary Ann (view spoiler)[seems to me like she's the one who Aden's been looking for. I like how she was able to calm him just by her presence. I also was glad to see that she can stand up to the punks. (hide spoiler)]

Shane (view spoiler)[is really a jerk so far. I don't like him. It was especially mean when he threw the snake at Shannon. (hide spoiler)]

Tucker (view spoiler)[is not my favorite character either, but I don't hate him, at least not yet. He was in cahoots with Shane so he's probably not a great guy. I don't think he and Mary Ann are right for each other, so I think I see a relationship between her and Aden coming up. (hide spoiler)]

I feel bad for (view spoiler)[Aden and that he doesn't really know his folks. It sounds like he was dealt a so-so to bad hand in life. (hide spoiler)]

The wolf (view spoiler)[scene where Aden was in him was freaky. I can't imagine what poor Mary Ann thought, but it appears that she ska-doodled. Can't say that I blame her. (hide spoiler)]

This book is taking me a long time to read it for some reason. I mean aside from trying to read it while I had a movie blaring in my ears! I'm reading it on my Kindle app and it takes me 3-4 "page" turns before I am on a new page and the same with percentages. That is discouraging.

sadly, I'm not liking it at all. I don't think the kids talk like regular kids. And i don't really like or understand anyone. they are all just acting odd

Like Mary Ann. She's MAJORING in disorders and psychological issues. How can she just be taking this all in stride. She isn't trying to diagnose him or even what she's seen....

Yeah, the weirdest thing to me is how Victoria (view spoiler)[ is a princess and her father is KING and yet Aden still wants her to bite him. I mean even if there were a real world full of all these spirit/paranormal beings, I can not even begin to fathom someone wanting to be bitten and assume HE will not get addicted to the feeling. Finished Ch. 20 and I'm just in such disbelief. LOL

I really thought I might give this two stars before it was totally meaningless in its plot, but I'm with you. It's a one star for me for all its absurdity and incredulous story line. I thought that the book was okay. Considering it was 440 pages I felt that more should of happened. At times with all the voices going on between Aden and Mary Ann it was a bit much.


I'm sorry none of us cared much for this book but thanks for reading with me anyways. At least we know we weren't the only ones that read this and didn't like it. I don;t know about you guys but it always makes me feel better when I'm not the only one who doesn't like a book.
