Igor is probably Tyler's best album to date. Every single song in the album has meaning to it and excellent production. "Earfquake" is about Tyler's feelings about his love and he can't do anything without it. He begs for a person to stay with him or his heart will be broken. In "I Think" Tyler feels like he has really fallen in love but he is unsure of how to make this feeling known to his partner. In "Running out of Time" Tyler feels like his is running out of time to make his partner fall in love with him back.
"New Magic Wand" portrays conflicted emotions and how we are able to move forward even in the darkest of moments. In "A Boy is a Gun" Tyler compares the love he has for his partner to the love gun owners have for their guns. He is aware that loving his partner is dangerous and unhealthy as it would be with owning a gun. Despite that, he feels safer when he is by his partner. "Puppet" is about how being someone's puppet in a relationship is interesting as it feels detached, even the song itself feels as if Tyler was zoning out while he raps.
"What's Good?" brings a perfect beat switch from the previous songs as it's more energetic. "Gone, Gone / Thank You" in the beginning is mainly about Tyler's love being gone in which he is almost in disbelief of. In the second half of the song Tyler feels like he wasted his time and to save himself from that happening as well as getting hurt he doesn't want to fall in love again. "I Don't Love You Anymore" is a pretty straightforward breakup song. "Are We Still Friends?" is about Tyler coming to the reality of his situation and he wants to just be friends with whoever he was singing about in the album. All in all, this album is a representation of Tyler and his evolution as an artist. I rate this album a 5/5.
