Spoiler alert! Any ideas about the split at the end?

I'm re-reading all the Jack Reacher books and found this book to stand out from the first 10 books.

First, Reacher has shown he's competent in Math since the onset of the series, but I don't remember him being such a nerd about math in any previous books.

Second, the 65 million dollars split at the end feels kind of wrong. After all the expenses and trusts for the 3 families of his fallen friends, there's only 400K left? Seems a bit wrong. I mean, 10 million per family already seems reasonable. That would leave 35 million left.

Maybe it was hard to clean that money somehow and Karla Dixon had to spend like 5 million to clean it...no idea, but I think that's excessive. Come on, even 1 million is reasonable for Reacher and his crew.
