I’m looking for a new book to read :))

Well, I think the series are more interesting than the book
It's actually a rare thing, when the series turn out to be better than the book -but that's the case)
The Darkling was sooooo much better in the series than in the book

I'm reading the series right now. I won't say they are super amazing or anything, but you can give them a try. This series is a cliche and too generic for me though. I heard the TV series is better but I'll start on it after finishing the books!

I started reading the books to get ahead of the TV show. Almost always the books are better than the shows. I read all the books plus the Six of Crows. I prefer the books to the TV series though I like the series. There is so much more going on in the books and you get to understand what the characters are thinking. They are very different. The TV show blends books from her other series. I like seeing how the show brings different elements to life. So far I give the books 4 stars each. They are well-written. I love the characters & the world they live in. I just wish the amplifiers could be obtained without killing. : (

The books are very meh tier. The show just ranks a bit more up than that. It manages to mix Shadow & Bone but also Six of Crows well together. The books also tick off a lot of YA Clichés so if you like that you do you, but if you don't...... Buckle up! The second book is very good at the beginning, but it also has about 200 pages of filler. The third one was an improvement and i kinda did like that one.

I fully agree with the last comment. It’s not really fair to compare the books to the series because they are taking material from another book that happens during the sameish time line to add more drama to the show. I felt they kind of matured the books in the show as well as they read very YA. The first book was super fast read for me, second dragged and the third has been pretty fast as well. I am not mad I read the books and i plan to read six of crows also.

i just read the first one and i loved, but i dont have sure if its for everyone...

I really enjoyed this book. More than I would ever imagine.

Somehow it got me out of a long time reading slump. If you wanna know, what I thought of the series without getting spoilers you can check out my reviews :)

For me, it wasn't :(
But I did enjoy Six of Crows a lot more! And now I want to read Nikolai´s books too.
