Happy Pride month everyone! I thought it would be the perfect time to share “what Pride means to you” or how you plan to show your pride this year! I cannot wait to hear what this special time of the year means to everyone!

I think Pride is a time to show off all the colors of the rainbow and be your best gay self. Although I’ve been out and proud for a really really long time now, I can still remember my first Pride celebration and how comforting it was for me as a young person to see how many sorts of gay people there were and how it encouraged me to be my unapologetic self. These days I’d rather spend my time with my dog or a book but I always make time to show up for Pride and show my true colors for today’s youth.

Nice one, but sadly to me it doesn’t mean anything, it means another day/month in the closet, i want to fit in/belong, but one day maybe! I’m really happy for those who are celebrating out there enjoy your month!

All of us have been where you are at one point in time. So hopefully you understand that we see you. We hear you. We feel for you. We were you. Those of us who are celebrating this month are doing so with the hope and the promise to help build a world where you can celebrate with us. We’re fighting for you​ and others like you to create a future where it will be safe for you and them to be proud, too. Well, I hope most of us are.
