Add A Sentence Stories

This is a pretty simple game. So pretty much, someone will say a sentence, then the next person will add a sentence that goes with it, then the next person will add another sentence, and so on. Eventually, we will end up with a story! It has to be appropriate and follow the rules. If we end a story, then we can start a new one!

A group of three capybaras are relaxing in the slow-moving Thu River.

[claire, Creator]

But abruptly, one of the capybaras stops.

[Ruby, BOTM & Nooks]

It hears a noise and quickly encourages the other two to listen closely.

[Ruby, BOTM & Nooks]

Vic, the level-headed capy, ignores it saying, "Who cares about some noise? You know we are safe here in this part of the jungle."

[claire, Creator]

"But I'm scared," says Allen, looking around.

[Ruby, BOTM & Nooks]

Vic scoffs, "Why on earth are you scared? You know as well as I do, there haven't been any reported attacks here in moons."

[claire, Creator]

"But what if this is the first?" asks Allen.

[Nicole]

The group goes silent, pondering Allen's question.

[claire, Creator]

"That's not very likely," replies the third capybara, Kyle.

[Ruby, BOTM & Nooks]

All three of them come to one of the several underwater grass meadows of Thu.

[claire, Creator]

"Vic, can we please just hide here until we know for sure it's safe?" asked Allen.

[Ruby, BOTM & Nooks]

Vic bids his indifference, "You do what you like, I'm not your mother. I'll be here munching this delicious grass while you're over there cowering."

[claire, Creator]

"But what if it's a jaguar?" asks Kyle, suddenly becoming afraid.

[claire, Creator]

"Papi!" cried the three capybaras, turning around to face Steve, "You're finally home!"

[Ruby, BOTM & Nooks]

"Sorry to be so grim, children, but you all really ought to be more vigilant out here in Thu," says Steve worryingly.

[claire, Creator]

"Papi, we missed you so much! How was your trip?" asked Allen.

[Ruby, BOTM & Nooks]

"Oh, the trip itself was nothing to worry over, but it does make me more concerned about the future of Thu river."

[claire, Creator]

"What do you mean, father?" Vic asked.

[Ruby, BOTM & Nooks]

"I'm afraid the deforestation has been steadily coming up along Thu. It's nowhere near us yet, but we must start thinking of what to do soon."

[Nicole]

"We...have to leave the Thu?" Allen asks somberly.

[claire, Creator]

"Where's your mother? I need to talk to her about it," said Steve.

Allen gave a worried face "We thought she was with you."

[claire, Creator]

"We started our journey together, but she had to come back, for your baby sister was coming soon. Did she not make it back?" asked Steve, worried.

[Nicole]

Panic rose into their hearts realizing their mother was missing.

[claire, Creator]

"Baby Charlotte was coming?" asked Vic, excited to hear about the birth of his sister, but also scared because she nor her mother were anywhere in sight.

[Nicole]

"If rose was coming we need to find mother, and fast," Steve says standing.

"I will find her. I am the fastest swimmer and runner."Said Kyle.

Kyle said defendant "Well someone's gotta and i mean you weren't volunteering to go anyways." "Dad,what do you think we should do?"

[claire, Creator]

"Boys, calm down. I can go. You just stay here. Rose and Charlotte will be with us in no time!" Steve said, not quite confidently, for he was still scared he wouldn't be able to find his wife, Rose.

[claire, Creator]

Allen replied, "Dad, you just got back! Please don't leave."

[claire, Creator]

Steve looked around, thinking deeply, "I must go. You boys must stay together, and stay safe. I do not want to return to find any of you injured!"

[claire, Creator]

The three capybaras nodded solemnly, watching their father leave once again.

[Sienna]

As their father left, the capybaras were filled with sadness. That evening, their dreams were full of hope that their father would return and never leave again.

Cora sat looking out at the ocean, the salty air blowing her brown hair around in crazy ways.

[Allie]

All of a sudden, she saw something dark far away near the horizon.

[Nicole]

She squinted her eyes trying to decipher the thing that seemed fo be coming closer and closer to her.

[Allie]

The sky darkened and distant thunder rumbled out of nowhere.

Rain started to softly patter the ground around Cora.

There was a flash of lightening, no more than two miles from where Cora sat. The salty smell had turned to something grimmer, more foreboding. Cora got the feeling something bad was on it's way.
