The only things stuck with me are:
- the visual of the restroom attendant lady getting washed out from the public bathrooms in a flood (post-soviet aesthetics, possibly set in Moscow?). that part felt like an acid trip but i can't recall anything else.
- a story about a guy who drove to the woods and discovered a werewolf pack
(view spoiler)[ at the end the guy was running scared from the woods and was suddenly remembering that he didn't go there for no reason, that he was prompted by seeing a picture of a wolf with glowing eyes in a newspaper and felt some kind of calling (hide spoiler)]
read it around 2013
I still keep thinking about it because it felt very different from the Western fiction and made me want to explore books with various origins. Would love to revisit it again.
